Here Are All the New Watch Faces Coming In watchOS 8 to Apple Watch!

The New Watch Faces of Apple Watch OS 8

The Portrait Watch Face is one of the new watch faces that comes with Apple Watch OS 8. As you can see, it pulls in your portrait mode photos and overlays the text on top of them. The current time is displayed every time you tap the watch face. When you tap the watch face again, a different photo appears.

One of the cool effects of this watch face is that you can actually adjust the people in the photo to make yourself or someone else larger. You can also reduce the opacity of the background and pull you up on top of the time. The effect is really cool, and it looks like something out of a sci-fi movie.

When you go into edit mode, you can see that there are options available for this watch face. There are three different typefaces to choose from, including Modern, Rounded, and Classic. This gives you more flexibility in terms of customization. You also have two complication slots where you can put time or a calendar. However, due to the new complication type introduced with Watch OS 8, not all complications may be supported.

The second new watch face is called World Face. As its name suggests, it allows you to see the time anywhere in the world. The locations along the outer dial show the different time zones, while the inner dial shows the current time in each location. Tapping the globe centers it on your current time zone and denoted by an arrow at six o'clock. The sun and moon icons represent sunrise and sunset where you are, and the light and dark time zones around the globe reflect night and day.

The World Face is available in two different options: analog and digital. When you go into edit mode, you can change the style to digital if that's your preference. You also have a ton of color options to choose from, which adds more customization possibilities. The watch face has four complication slots located in each corner, but some complications may not support the new complication type.

Exclusive Watch Faces for Apple Watch Series 7

The new Apple Watch series 7 comes with even more exclusive watch faces, including Modular Max, Nike Bound Space, and Contour Face. The first is called Modular Max, which is a larger version of the Modular watch face that we saw earlier versions of the Apple Watch. The new Modular Max has two long complications at the bottom instead of one full-width complication.

The Nike Bound Space is another exclusive watch face that comes with the new Nike models. This watch face is actually animated, and it will move when you tap on the screen or even when you move your wrist. It looks very cool and is a unique feature that sets it apart from other watch faces. Finally, there's the Contour Face, which was debuted during the keynote itself.

The Contour Face features numbers that wrap around the edge of the display and move based on the time. The effect gives the impression that the numbers are almost wrapping around the edge of the watch face itself. While we can't get into more details about Hermes watch faces just yet, we'll cover them in our actual hands-on review when the new Apple Watch series 7 becomes available.
