The Haul: A Look at My Recent Purchases

I'm excited to share with you my latest haul, a collection of various products that I've been eager to try out and incorporate into my daily life. As always, I'll be sharing my honest opinions on each item, so if you're new to my channel, be prepared for some valuable insights.

One of the first items I want to highlight is my set of index cards. These are obviously going to be great for a multitude of things - recipes, organization, projects, and more. The larger size 4x6 is wide ruled, making it perfect for note-taking or jotting down reminders. On the other hand, the smaller 3x5 version offers a more compact option that's ideal for smaller projects or tasks. I also appreciate the color options available, which add an extra layer of personalization to these already versatile cards.

I'll be using my index cards to create a library inventory system, where I catalog all the books in my collection by author. This is a project that's near and dear to my heart, as I love re-reading favorite novels and discovering new ones. By keeping track of the titles, characters, and overall rating, I can easily flip through my list and pick out which book to read next. It's a system that works for me, and I'm excited to share it with you in future videos.

In addition to these index cards, I've also picked up some adorable stickers from Teaching Tree. The little bees are particularly cute, and I appreciate how they don't have to be limited to just a school or student theme. These stickers can be used for crafting, decorating planners, or even as a fun way to add personality to care packages. I'm excited to get creative with these and show you some of the projects I come up with.

Next, I want to give a shout-out to Crafter Square, a brand that's quickly become one of my favorites. Their labels are incredibly versatile, offering a range of fonts, sizes, and styles to suit any project. I've fallen in love with their stencils, which add an extra level of detail and texture to my crafts. From pocket letters to scrapbooking planners, these labels can be used for just about anything. and forth i can't ever figure out which way to part my hair so i'm just gonna go ahead and dive in let me show you guys some books that i found and i went to this one store where they just stocked the most amount of books i think i've ever seen and it was just so beautifully like positioned and organized it was amazing and i found this massive book for a dollar like that's insane it's one of those books where it would just look really cool as decor you know whether you have it like on an entry table on a coffee table kind of thing um this is undisclosed files of the police cases from the archives of nypd like what i mean this is like this is crazy um actually as the lady was checking me out she was like oh are there more of these in the back and i was like yeah there are um so yeah there's just so many cases that are apparently real and archived from new york police department i mean the book itself is really well done i have no idea some of the scenes are pretty graphic so i'm flipping here and i'm not going to show you this first one okay this why do we both look the same with our eyes that's the question but i mean it's what did this retail at where this even come from um but i can tell you this once upon a time it was not a dollar but yeah i mean there's just some of it's gonna have like real photos some of it's just gonna be illustrated because these seem to be pretty old files around the 1800s by the way but wow anyways i really couldn't believe it oh look at this one the lindbergh kidnapping yeah so i have no idea like i said how stuff like this ends up at dollar tree but letting you guys know that's one that i found here are some more books i haven't had a chance to like dive in and see what some of these are about some of them i did skim through and i'm really excited to actually add them to my read list i'm going to be reading a lot of my dollar tree novels that i've been picking up once i finish my library but this one is called the diner list and i did skim through this one it was pretty interesting it let me read this off to you imagine that you could gather the people you've loved dead or alive at one table for one night with a chance to heal your heal yourself once and for all that's basically like what this is about um new york times best-selling author stephanie danler no idea who that is but that's what this book is about at first i was like wait audrey hepburn like what what is this doing but um i don't know maybe is audrey hepburn in on the dinner list i have no idea but i love the cover i think it's really pretty and i also found this one which i just love a good cover i think it really can speak to how good a book can be but obviously don't judge a book by its cover kind of thing this one is called midnight jewel number one international best-selling author i mean that's pretty good it's a glittering court novel i really don't know what that means but here are the other books i guess in that same series but yeah this just looks really intriguing this is part two of the irresistible trilogy so three of interwoven novel trades gowns and jewels for masks and disguises stuffy businessmen for pirates and spies ballroom dances and daring missions that sounds really interesting i can't wait to read this one too i'll probably end up picking this one first once i get my library finished because um i want to start diving into all of the stuff that i've gotten from dollar tree then i picked this book honestly i got this for the cover alone it says sherlock holmes i really like it um the the further adventures of sherlock holmes that's really interesting the seventh bullet i don't know if any of you guys have ever like read this before um if you bought it full price from somewhere but a dollar at dollar tree have you guys seen the enola homes on netflix my daughter made me watch it because she loved it so much it has um 11 from stranger things in it she plays anola and it's a really cute um really interesting little tv or movie on netflix it's a movie yeah um so anyways i love anything with like sherlock holmes and stuff and then i found this one which is called a kiss in the dark yeah i haven't i haven't read this one to know like what this is about but look at the tag on here it came from walmart and was priced at ten dollars and i and that was like scaling back down right so i mean originally this was probably somewhere in the 14 range and i got it for a buck that's pretty amazing and then i found these two like smaller paperbacks um conspiracy of angels this is probably right up my alley i love anything that has like a futuristic fantasy um this one is forever wolf the cover is really electric i really like it um i have no idea you know what the the content is all about i've written sever i've read several dollar tree books in the past and some of them have literally made me laugh out loud they were just so bad but i feel like this past year 2020 and recently what i've been buying from dollar tree seemed to be really amazing so i am getting getting there to finishing my library and i'll start reading those then i found some more bath salts i picked up bath salts quite often at dollar tree but i couldn't decide if i picked these up specifically the packaging stood out to me looked new we've got mint eucalyptus on this one and then lavender chamomile on this one these are going to be gorgeous for a gift basket i mean the packaging is really nice it's really simple and i think it will just look beautiful in it in a gift basket arranged with like other stuff like a loofah scrubs you know face masks slippers dollar tree has all of those things they have sleeping masks which i just showed a ton of new sleeping masks that came in i think it was monday's haul and so i'll link it down below in case you want to pop over there and see what those look like but there's there's so many things that you can get at dollar tree to create like a beauty spa type of gift so there's that and then i found pine sol but this one is a lemon fresh scent so i wanted to pick it up i recently picked up like the original pine sol one and then i saw this lemon one and wanted to uh you know bring it home with me so there's that that just didn't sound right i don't know if you guys can hear it too but it's a pretty windy day outside and i i'm like sitting right by the fireplace so in case you just kind of hear that noise it's it's the wind um all right i found some new hand soaps but the packaging is so cute and beware because this one wasn't tightened properly and i think some of it was spilling out in the bag this orange one is just screaming my name did you miss my recent haul from tuesday's video where i showed you guys all of the spring stuff on how i'm going to be decorating for the house and i just went in for this orange theme so hard and then i found this at dollar tree and i'm like this is perfect i can't wait to add this once i start decorating for spring which will happen right after valentine's day we've got the orange we've got the beautiful watermelon which this one gives me more summer vibes for me whenever i think of watermelon i think of summer and then we have a lemon i did not see any other options but wouldn't it have been awesome to have like a lime or strawberry or even a raspberry or grapes you know what i want them all so but these are definitely brand new i love how the pump on this one is green so there's that and then the orange one i just want to point it out again like the whole thing is orange let me show you some cute little toys that i picked up for my niece i picked up this play money they've had this at dollar tree for honestly as long as i can remember this is not anything new but i was passing by the toy section i saw this and i was just kind of curious how my niece would play with this so i picked it up just you know so that next time she comes over we'll play like cash register kind of thing and see when i was younger my brother and i played bank um and we used the tennis ball container as our the thing that you know you send up and into the to the bank thing i'm not using any descriptive words but you guys probably know what i'm talking about but of course we didn't have a tube so we would like if i was the bank teller i would have like um like a stack of pillows next to me and then i would roll the the tennis ball container with the papers inside of it and my brother would get it and he would do his transaction oh my gosh comment down below and let me know what games you played as as a kid did you guys ever play bank and did you use a tennis ball thing i don't know comment and let me know but again i just kind of want to see what um how my niece would would react to something like that also this is so amazing but i found peppa pig at dollar tree okay i don't even really know like who peppa pig is i've seen a couple of the shows on youtube i bought my niece some things for christmas um that has a peppa pig because she loves it and i watched some of the episodes with her and i was kind of cracking up because i was just like what but i found peppa pig at dollar tree this is another reason why i love this store so much is because they stay on trend current with things that are happening right now i feel like about 15 years ago and my memory shot you already know that but i feel like way back when i felt like dollar tree was like a step behind but not anymore for at least the past 15 years of maybe all of all time that they've been an open business but dollar tree always nails it like they do the mandalorian things i've seen stuff like that and and star wars stuff and just all of the current things so um peppa pig playing cards at dollar tree for a dollar like that's nuts also for my niece i picked up these cold packs i just thought they were really cute they also had a smiley face and a soccer ball but i picked up the ladybug and the turtle just in case she has a little boo-boo this kid she is no cop she throws caution to the wind she if she if you told her she could fly she would she would be that kid she would launch herself off of god knows where okay so but um i just wanted to have like cute little ice packs we've never had to use one she'd never gotten that hurt but um but i saw them and thought they were cute and gonna throw them in the freezer i also picked up some dollhouse furniture b pay attention to the dollhouse stuff at dollar tree because i've seen some amazing stuff this one store i went to they didn't have that much but um you might see more dollhouse stuff in my future hauls but i just want to let you guys know this stuff is pretty amazing and yeah if you want to have yourself a hobby too like you could construct a little house and stuff i've seen where they sell kits on like amazon um that you can put little like miniature buildings together kind of things so if you're like looking for a hobby that could be an idea i also watch this one youtube channel called tiny little things i'll link it down below but it's just so satisfying to watch um so just go check it out and you'll kind of like see like where i'm going with this because you know at first glance you think kids toys but this could be a hobby for adults too so yeah be on the lookout in the future hauls i'll probably get some more pieces for my niece satin pillowcase covers i use these now as my main pillows that i sleep on i don't want to do anything cotton just because i'm trying not to like get wrinkles i am a side and stomach sleeper so it's really important for me to you know make sure that my skin is pressed on satin rather than cotton because ever since i switched to the dollar tree satin covers from my cotton ones i don't wake up with lines you know from being pressed into the pillowcase anymore so just something i like to do and these you get two is it two i think it's just one is it one yeah i don't know yeah it's just one um so there's that and i just want to have some extras on hand so that when i wash my you know set i'll have another set ready to go okay this item's pretty random it is part of their spring fling line i'm still waiting for my stores to put this full collection out but i think they're probably waiting for the valentine's day stuff because i'm sure that where all the valentine's day stuff is once that gets moved out it will probably be the spring fling and it's just a cutlery set that has pineapples on it and it kind of has that bamboo look to it but i can't tell if it is wood or if it's like it does look like wood it doesn't look like plastic at all but that's new oh who remembers when i hauled these marker pens and i did a demo in that video of how it does right with the line and then i ended up finding more colors so i found the gold and the pink to add to my collection the one thing i forgot to mention in that video is that these do bleed through i was using dollar tree notebooks and like i've mentioned the quality of the paper isn't like the best that's out there so just keep that in mind whenever you are crafting with these but i think these are fantastic little markers definitely unique and unlike anything else that i've seen come through dollar tree and actually i just noticed that this one had a little boo-boo this i don't know this must have happened in the bag but these are the kind where you have to like press down until the ink comes out so something must have happened to this one but you can see the gold one is okay so i'm gonna have to probably um i'm sure this one still has like ink left but i'll have to clean it up so there's that um here are some more pens the jot brand it's my favorite brand at dollar tree there's so many good brands honestly i could probably do a whole video i don't know thumbs up let me know if you want me to like haul my favorite things from each brand but jot would be so hard because i would just want to show 50 items under jot alone so i wanted to give these gel pens a try and i got them for my office i love all of the color options there's even a beautiful green in there i don't know why i'm showing you the back but yeah i really love these color options there's pink there's a red and an orange just like the whole thing so excited to try those out and some of my to read like a certain style and you know if that makes sense and obviously only i know what i'm talking about because i know how to like rate the characters and the book overall to my preference but it really does help for me to like flip through my little book and figure out oh you know what i want to reread like this novel again based off of what i wrote about it you know so these i get for that project and then the last several things are from uh like crafter square here's one thing from teaching tree which honestly like shook me the little bees are really cute and then look at all of these little stickers and what i like about them is that they don't have to just be like furry school or a student it was time to flip the hair the other way uh but yeah you know it doesn't say like a plus student or anything like that so i feel like this could be very universal to crafting with this using this in your own planners this is going to be a really cute pickup for a summer spread in your planner if you're into that and fyi the bumblebee is going to be i think my summer theme throughout the house for decor so for spring it's going to be like carrots and checkered gingham but summer i think i've decided on the bumblebee effect so anyways just giving you guys another up close shot but how cute is this i didn't see anything else kind of in this style um but i'm gonna be on the lookout i also picked up some gold heart rhinestones great for a bunch of little projects pocket letters if you have a pen pal just crafting you can use this to decorate a care package with card it just kind of has that stenciling that kind of reminds me of ray dunn so a lot of diys i love the size of these two where as you can see these are on a smaller scale they look about like an inch for my stores to put this full collection out but i think they're probably waiting for the valentine's day stuff because i'm sure that where all the valentine's day stuff is once that gets moved out it will probably be the spring fling and it's just a cutlery set that has pineapples on it and it kind of has that bamboo look to it but i can't tell if it is wood or if it's like it does look like wood it doesn't look like plastic at all but that's new oh who remembers when i hauled these marker pens and i did a demo in that video of how it does right with the line and then i ended up finding more colors so i found the gold and the pink to add to my collection the one thing i forgot to mention in that video is that these do bleed through i was using dollar tree notebooks and like i've mentioned the quality of the paper isn't like the best that's out there so just keep that in mind whenever you are crafting with these but i think these are fantastic little markers definitely unique and unlike anything else that i've seen come through dollar tree and actually i just noticed that this one had a little boo-boo this i don't know this must have happened in the bag but these are the kind where you have to like press down until the ink comes out so something must have happened to this one but you can see the gold one is okay so i'm gonna have to probably um i'm sure this one still has like ink left but i'll have to clean it up so there's that um here are some more pens the jot brand it's my favorite brand at dollar tree there's so many good brands honestly i could probably do a whole video i don't know thumbs up let me know if you want me to like haul my favorite things from each brand but jot would be so hard because i would just want to show 50 items under jot alone so i wanted to give these gel pens a try and i got them for my office i love all of the color options there's even a beautiful green in there i don't know why i'm showing you the back but yeah i really love these color options there's pink there's a red and an orange just like the whole thing so excited to try those out and some of my most jot again these these would be all my favorites i got the index cards these are obviously going to be great for so many things you could use them for recipes you could use them for organization you can use them for projects i got the larger size here which is a 4x6 and they are wide ruled and then we've got the 3x5 here you can see there and then i found them in the color options as well so these i get for my uh library inventories if you're new to my channel and you're like what what is that i actually make an inventory of all of my books under one single author using these i'll try to find the videos from my vlog channel and i'll link them down below but that is where i do this project over on it's just a way for me to keep track of all of the novels my favorite authors write and then i'll also go in and write after i read that book you know i'll rate it i'll rate the characters and the reason why i do this is because i love to re-read books all the time but sometimes i want to read like a certain style and you know if that makes sense and obviously only i know what i'm talking about because i know how to like rate the characters and the book overall to my preference but it really does help for me to like flip through my little book and figure out oh you know what i want to reread like this novel again based off of what i wrote about it you know so these i get for that project and then the last several things are from uh like crafter square here's one thing from teaching tree which honestly like shook me the little bees are really cute and then look at all of these little stickers and what i like about them is that they don't have to just be like furry school or a student it was time to flip the hair the other way uh but yeah you know it doesn't say like a plus student or anything like that so i feel like this could be very universal to crafting with this using this in your own planners this is going to be a really cute pickup for a summer spread in your planner if you're into that and fyi the bumblebee is going to be i think my summer theme throughout the house for decor so for spring it's going to be like carrots and checkered gingham but summer i think i've decided on the bumblebee effect so anyways just giving you guys another up close shot but how cute is this i didn't see anything else kind of in this style um but i'm gonna be on the lookout i also picked up some gold heart rhinestones great for a bunch of little projects pocket letters if you have a pen pal just crafting you can use this to decorate a care package with card mail scrapbooking planners there's a lot you can do with those i also found some new stencils be on the lookout for these so this is the crafter square label and they've been making a ton of stencils with different like fonts and i'll show you what i mean with these some of them like slit up i think some of them are like stuck up there and yeah but you can just see how the font looks different there i love all of the options that they give with this so the crafter square label is quickly becoming another one of my favorites directly underneath jot i think but this one's probably my favorite it just kind of has that stenciling that kind of reminds me of ray dunn so a lot of diys i love the size of these two where as you can see these are on a smaller scale they look about like an inch this looks about an inch and a quarter i don't really know but i
