**Summer Desserts: Peach Cobbler Recipe**
As the summer months approach, many of us are looking for delicious desserts to serve at our outdoor gatherings and parties. One classic dessert that is perfect for the season is peach cobbler. In this recipe, we'll show you how to make a mouthwatering peach cobbler that's sure to impress your guests.
**Peach Cobbler Recipe**
To start, you'll need the following ingredients: canned peaches, granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, unsalted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (180°C). While the oven is heating up, combine the sliced peaches with the granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl. Stir until the peaches are evenly coated with the sugar.
Next, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and unsalted butter in a separate mixing bowl until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The batter should still be slightly lumpy.
Pour the peach mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish and top with the crumbly batter. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cobbler is set.
**Adding Thickeners**
As the cobbler bakes, you'll notice that it's starting to thicken up slightly. To help achieve a thicker consistency, mix together water and cornstarch in a small bowl. Stir the mixture into the baking dish while it's still hot, allowing it to simmer for a few more minutes until the thickener is fully incorporated.
**Tips and Variations**
One of the best things about peach cobbler is its versatility. You can use fresh peaches instead of canned, but be aware that you'll need to cook them longer to achieve the same consistency. Another great option is to add a little extra flavor with spices like cinnamon or nutmeg.
To take your peach cobbler over the top, try drizzling it with a caramel sauce made from sugar and heavy cream. You can also serve it warm topped with vanilla ice cream for an added layer of sweetness.
**Assembling the Dish**
Once the cobbler is out of the oven and has cooled slightly, remove it from the baking dish and transfer it to a serving plate or individual dishes. Top with whipped cream or additional sugar if desired.

bottom of our casserole dish and just try to spread it out as evenly as you can but you want it to be mostly melted like you see right here so make it about as even as you can try to hit all the edges and then my friends we're going in with that batter and again try to make it nice and even coverage now if you want it to be super extra on the crust side of things you can go down with like a little cook down a little bit as well but if you want them small you can dice them up you could also use fresh peaches if you want but you're going to want to cook them a little bit longer than the canned peaches and in my my opinion I've done it both ways I kind of like the caned peaches a little bit better cuz you don't always know what you're getting unless you're like an expert Peach picker outer a good simmer you'll notice that it'll thicken up nicely again oven preheated at 350 we're going to cook this for about 40 to 45 minutes or until that crust develops nicely and it's nice and firm got some good color to it but here you go you can see that the thickening is taking place right now from the the slurry taste as you go adjust the seasoning and the sweetness level to your preference and I think we're just about where we want to be here all right my friends this is how we're looking after 45 minutes in the oven I threw it on the top rack for the last 5 or 10 minutes just to get that
