Hours Away from iPhone 4S and iPad 2 Tether Jailbreak: A Chronic Dev Team's Hard Work Pays Off

Hey guys, everything applepro here, and I'm actually very excited to bring you guys this video. We are hours away from an iPhone 4S and iPad 2 5.0.1 on tether jailbreak now. This is the chronic dev team's hard work; they've been working on this for a long long time. Thanks to them, we did get the A4 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak, and now in a matter of hours, we will have the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 on tether jailbreak on our hands.

Pod2G has left a little article on his blog that I'll leave a link down below, and it does talk about the iPhone 4S unlock also about the iPad 2 and 4s 5.0.1 jailbreak. It's a good read, so definitely check it out. If you have an iPhone 4S, you want to make sure it's on the right firmware if you want to be able to unlock it, and to be sure you can unlock your iPhone 4S in the future, you want to make sure it's either on iOS 5.0 or 5.0.1 version number 98405. If you guys don't know, you can check by going into Settings > General about, so if you guys are on 5.0 right now, don't update the untethered jailbreak will work with 5.0 if you guys are on 5.0.1 but you do have 9a406 as your version number, you can downgrade.

I'll leave a little link down below also to a guide, and it'll tell you how to do that; it's really simple. You just download the older firmware shift click restore with iTunes, and that's it. Okay, iPhone 4S unlockers make sure you watch out for that don't update your firmware because the untethered jailbreak will work with 5.0 and the older version of 5.0.1.

Now also on this article, it does say that the jailbreak name will be called Absinthe, and it's a kind of a weird name, but it doesn't matter. This jailbreak will untether your iPhone 4S or iPad 2, and the chances of actually breaking your device are really small; it's been tested a lot so you guys don't have to worry about that. Also, you can always restore to factory firmware, so you don't need to worry about anything breaking. You can always remove the jailbreak when you want to.
