we're just getting set up we've actually been over here for 2 days now it was super cold yesterday had some testing going on we decided to hold off on that cuz track was cold and we had to get some other things ready on the car I finished getting the backup engine together stuff like that we got a pretty sweet little setup over here we're going to go ahead and show you guys what we got going on yeah guys welcome to MTV Cribs why don't you step on inside I'll show you the costum man it's awesome we got the setup over here boys oh also Travis is here yeah Tris uh wiping the MR2 down if you guys don't remember Travis he's the one that sold me the original dog box in the hatch that when it's first nine yeah had the Prelude way back in the day has a video smoking sketchy BT in his old Prelude so he came out to hang out with us as well so he's going to be part of the team but we got the trailer set up over here and back over here both us and Brent Jamie got our own trailers so we just got the little setup back here you know nothing too crazy we're not going to any hotels this time around Welcome to our 2012 ladio by Keystone it's a freaking unit dude yeah dude she got this heater the pooper she has it all and then one master bedroom so nice on BR you got to give him a tour of yours oh yeah mine is uh they got the nicer one mine is the cougar by Keystone the C there oh Brent would have the cougar of course you already know so that's my bed pretty cool little currently a dining table but it turns into a bed it transforms got the boys in the bunk beds got Jamie up there oh and the master we're Set This Is Us yeah this is going to be our home for the next 5 days so pretty freaking pumped yeah this is amazing both our campers got some outside kitchens we've been making some breakfast out here it's going to be a good old time boys I've been looking forward to this event for so long we got the mr2s Billet block ready to go we got that big turbo yeah we're ready to send it this is the best track to go a number the conditions are prime the track prep is amazing and the density altitude which is an important number goes into the negatives out here so this is the optimal boost weather yeah it's surrounded by a forest so we got all this O2 being pumped in the air trees trees and stuff doing their thing you don't want sure you don't want to drive your stock St or whatever with the turbo and claim it's boost weather this is real boost this is real boost weather over here cars that actually need this weather when they talk about boost weather they're talking about these conditions right here so a lot of Records get set out here for that reason you know one pound of boost in the MR2 here is going to be a different it's going to be different from a pound of boost back home it's going to actually be making more power per pound of boost cuz the air is just so much thicker out here denser that's the technical term denser air dense air makes power yeah I just like to say it's thick with four C's this is the last guy we need around all bill it everything dude you think you can blow that one up I mean I'm sure I can try how's it running dude I mean it went good at Bron couple shakedowns coasted to 550 on 30 lbs that's good that's good but we figured our first pass will run it all the way through make it count as a qualif fire yeah be good to go yeah looks good now is that the same turbo or she a little bigger a little bigger yep 83 instead of 80 that's what I like to hear says 8385 now yes sir hell yeah might see a rip yeah hoping it doesn't wheelie like that day we were out there couple years ago I mean I can make it wheel if you want me to I think we're good let me get the laptop you notice the number they gave me up on the windshield there 200 think that's a sign about be going that's that's the goal dude I like it you got the motor now we do have the motor you just got a floor now now I just need the balls let me get the let me get the laptop dude I'll put a blue strength in it like this put the moon tune in there floor it and we'll do it dude all right guys so we had the option to test yesterday we didn't do that but today we are going to be running our first qualifier I believe we only get one pass today as our qualifier they were going to run some testing today as well but it's going to get cold later in the evening so they wanted to make sure everyone gets through that first round of qualifying so this first pass for us will matter and if all goes good we're looking to run this thing all the way out to the end and we don't have it on kill yet but we're bumping it up to 52 PSI for the first pass when we go out there uh we have not started the car yet today this is going to be a first cold start we're going to do a quick two-step check just to make sure it's ready to go and then later this afternoon we will be pulling it up to do our first qualifier because we are the second to last run group so we got some time we're going to be hanging out in between there we'll probably go check out some cars and stuff and then later tonight we'll be running that first qualifier and we're going to hopefully make a clean a to be hit and we got two more days to figure it out actually three more days so go ahead and crate this thing up and give her a two-step check not terrible did it take a second to build fuel pressure no I had fuel pressure it's that cold there gotcha sounds mean though what's you think R it's awesome I'm just do she got that throat in her yeah deep little idle chop yeah so we're letting the MR2 warm up right now before we two step it something else we have to keep in mind is we need temperature in the engine we want our oil temps to come up so something else we are checking right now is how long this thing is going to take to get up to Temp we got to make sure this thing has some heat in it before we bring it up to the line because we don't want to run it cold out there so we're letting it come up to temperature right now before we twep it sounded pretty good that sounded good it lit up pretty quick yeah those little changes seem to help so all right that's all we needed to check really think she's ready to go yeah we'll pull a log on that we good to go it yeah sure should be ready for battle loud over it sounds louder here than it normally does the trailers and stuff sounds good though lit up nice see what that does no drama we did loosen that slipper back up a little closer to how it was on that first pass too because as you guys saw in the last video it foged we were just getting a little aggressive with it trying to see what it would take but we are much closer to that first setting as we were at brington because for our first qualifier we really do want to make it down the track and hopefully make a good pass so we at least you know get some position on that qualifying ladder there hey you got to hit the horn a couple times you're World Cup it's saying we did a 88.0 to the quarter and a 52 to the The Eighth Mile so we will take that for a first Shakedown boys not bad at all well not a bad first rip was it a seven or an 80 it was 80 80 but we put some fluid on the track so did we supposedly water that's what the guy up there said so we need to take a look at that my guess is that it came from the weight plate because I put ice in there so early that had some condensation condensation on the plate when you took off it all just rolled off the back so we'll take a look at that also notic a little oil out of here so I don't know maybe one of those are a little yeah or if that fitting cracked maybe feels tight uh but anyways yeah not bad 80 at I forget the mile hour dragy said 181 181 yeah that sounds about right how do I feel in the car felt good yeah yep decent all right it shimmed over a little bit at first but it was it was good yeah but it felt straight everything was good other than that okay well I think we bring the ramp back in quicker and uh yep we kind of leave the slipper where it's at that looked good that what was the yeah the dragy said was a 13060 okay yeah we got to go up there get your time slip to see yeah see what it actually was but hey at least he made it down the track and we have plenty more to throw at it with the new turbo wanted to make it down2 lb to run 80 I ain't mad about that yeah I store 25 2565 we'll get our time slip right up here what that face for official warning on it oh so official warning guys for leaking fluid oo leaking water well could be worse damn bro look at that 60t though dude that's 60 though not bad dude dude that's crazy the short track was so good it's slow to the eighth we've got a really lazy boost ramp in it right now but not terrible man not terrible it was a 526 1 mph 140 not bad that slower boost ramp definitely definitely did it but really Travis why you going and ruining like that bro what the hell it's all good we got another surprise on here you'll love this one what the leaking water official warning rip dang it dude so apparently okay wait for this car to go by whatever they're doing over there dude solid 60 though dude 127 to the 60t that's our best 60t ever in the car which is a great sign and a much slower ramp through the eth like much slower we had it really tame and we had some water coming out of this thing we're thinking it either was from the ice box because we sat for so long with it fully iced up that either a whole bunch of condensation built up but it did seem like a good amount of water so we need to double check and make sure we don't have any leaking fittings or the lid's not leaking there's an o-ring on the lid to the water box and we also have a vent that could have possibly leaked so we just need to double check everything cuz the whole bottom of the car has some water under it which is good cuz you know my big fear with this thing is getting water everywhere and losing control of it so luckily it wasn't too much minor leak hopefully we get that fixed because we're going to have to cuz we got an official warning on our first pass yep they don't play around out here any fluids or anything like that you got to make sure that the cars are you know Tip Top shaped they don't want oil Downs or anything like that slowing the event down so but hey 127 to the 60t I don't know if we need to change too much on that slip or that's I'm thinking we're going to leave it there and and we also did put uh 20 extra pounds on the nose y so that might have helped it as well it is on the fat side we went over the scales and it's like 2550 with me in it and we could technically be 100 lb lighter but if that weight on the nose helps us then we're going to obviously leave it but not too bad boys 80 first rip out here at Maryland she made it down and we know that that will at least probably get us in the race no matter what unless everyone just freaking goes fly goes crazy in this this qualif it's a 32 car field and 40 cars signed up so eight cars won't make it so there's a good chance that alone will get us in the race so check this thing over and be good to go for tomorrow yep got a little bit of work to do all right guys so we got a coupler on the turbo right now J is getting ready to pump us up with some air we're just checking the charge pipes and we want to make sure that the intercooler here doesn't happen to have any internal cracks it's unlikely but we want to start by checking everything we want to make sure that this isn't seeing any boost and pushing that pressure into the water box up here causing it to leak I'm ready so Wyatt's down here looking for bubbles Jamie's putting the air on right now you seeing anything it's looking looking good up there what's up what's that leak right is there an air leak back here y pretty heavy put right here oh yeah we do got a bad one back there dang the fresh vband yeah we got a bad leak right there yeah pretty bad leak for sure I got more of those O-rings that's why I didn't I think I did say this that I I really hate S400 bband clamps and that's why I put the HDs on it but then the problem is simp another turbo yeah you know but yeah this hey dude that probably would have went a seven if that wasn't Le that's bad that's a big leak I don't know if you felt it but that's literally the same thing mine just did no bubbles in there no bubbles so I think we're good there I think it was just over full yeah we did top it off higher than we ever have you guys can't level very high can't really see it right now but our pump is actually underwater when normally the top of this is still exposed we just had a full bag of ice cuz we wanted her ready to rip yeah so I think it was just all the way up to the vent tube by the time he left and when he launched I'm sure it sosed in there a little bit and came out the vent cuz we have our vent tube right here and it just ends right there and the end of it was kind of wet so and there was condensation on the tank too there was a lot cuz we put the ice in so early I'm sure there was a puddle on the plate already so I think just a combination of those two things is what led to the water yeah I think next one we definitely run it lower and we'll bring some Rags with us right before we go make sure everything's nice and dry off should be good if we do that again they might not let us do it anymore yeah yeah that might be our weekend we I looked back at the video not too much came out but they don't want any drops of fluids coming off these cars out here all right guys so looking at the log we did make 52 lb this red line right here is the Boost ramp right which we have pretty tame yeah so here's our boost ramp you can see how lazy it was I mean it didn't even start ramping boost till we were in second gear and it didn't finish ramping until we were halfway through third yeah so all of first and second gear is still on the low side of of our boost ramp making in the 30 PSI range which we wanted to do we just you know want to make sure it went down the track but we really start seeing a whole bunch of short track improvements when we start pulling that ramp back and having the power come in sooner and sooner yeah so we will uh turn the Boost ramp up some more for this next one I've got it a lot spicier more like the 759 pass was um and then we're going up to 60 lb yep up to 60 lb on the new turbo which is what it did like 61 in lb top on the 75 so and now it's on the smaller turbo so like theoretically if this pass goes well there's no reason there shouldn't be like a mid to low s it should be close to that mid 7c range hopefully should be quicker than that 7 yeah and if we can just do that 60t again that was our best 60t so far which is a great sign so maybe that's a combination of just the good track wider tires extra weight on the nose but getting that slipper dial weight too and uh we're going to add a little weight or tire pressure uh we added a little bit B more on that last pass seem to helped it out quite a bit so we're going to bump that up just a little bit more and see if we can improve that 60t anymore or if we kick the tire yep so we'll see man cool cool so hopefully we get that water box League fixed I think it was just a little full and uh we'll continue on tomorrow guys but we still have a whole to be very sticky right now the cars are going down and they are going fast so we're hoping we don't bog we got to get nice a Tob pass and we're going to let her eat boys we're taking this one all the way down to the quarter mile if everything feels good but I'm just so excited to be out here in Maryland International Raceway we're here at World Cup it's freaking nuts boys it's come so freaking far The Eighth Mile so we will take that for a first Shakedown boys not bad at all well not a bad first rip was it a seven or an 80 it was 80 80 but we put some fluid on the track so did we supposedly water that's what the guy up there said so we need to take a look at that my guess is that it came from the weight plate because I put ice in there so early that had some condensation condensation on the plate when you took off it all just rolled off the back so we'll take a look at that also notic a little oil out of here so I don't know maybe one of those are a little yeah or if that fitting cracked maybe feels tight uh but anyways yeah not bad 80 at I forget the mile hour dragy said 181 181 yeah that sounds about right how do I feel in the car felt good yeah yep decent all right it shimmed over a little bit at first but it was it was good yeah but it felt straight everything was good other than that okay well I think we bring the ramp back in quicker and uh yep we kind of leave what that face for official warning on it oh so official warning guys for leaking fluid oo leaking water well could be worse damn bro look at that 60t though dude that's 60 though not bad dude dude that's crazy the short track was so good it's slow to the eighth we've got a really lazy boost ramp in it right now but not terrible man not terrible it was a 526 1 mph 140 not bad that slower boost ramp definitely definitely did it but really Travis why you going and ruining like that bro what the hell it's all good we got another surprise on here you'll love this one what the leaking water official warning rip dang it dude so apparently okay wait for this car to go by whatever they're doing over there dude solid 60 though dude 127 to the 60t that's our best 60t ever in the car which is a great sign and a much slower ramp through the eth like much slower we had it really tame and we had some water coming out of this thing we're thinking it either was from the ice box because we sat for so long with it fully iced up that either a whole bunch of condensation built up but it did seem like a good amount of water so we need to double check and make sure we don't have any leaking fittings or the lid's not leaking there's an o-ring on the lid to the water box and we also have a vent that could have possibly leaked so we just need to double check everything cuz the whole bottom of the car has some water under it which is good cuz you know my big fear with this thing is getting water everywhere and losing control of it so luckily it wasn't too much minor leak hopefully we get that fixed because we're going to have to cuz we got an official warning on our first pass yep they don't play around out here any fluids or anything like that you got to make sure that the cars are you know Tip Top shaped they don't want oil Downs or anything like that slowing the event down so but hey 127 to the 60t I don't know if we need to change too much on that slip or that's I'm thinking we're going to leave it there and and we also did put uh 20 extra pounds on the nose y so that might have helped it as well it is on the fat side we went over the scales and it's like 2550 with me in it and we could technically be 100 lb lighter but if that weight on the nose helps us then we're going to obviously leave it but not too bad boys 80 first rip out here at Maryland she made it down and we know that that will at least probably get us in the race no matter what unless everyone just freaking goes fly goes crazy in this this qualif it's a 32 car field and 40 cars signed up so eight cars won't make it so there's a good chance that alone will get us in the race so check this thing over and be good to go for tomorrow yep got a little bit of work to do all right guys so we got a coupler on the turbo right now J is getting ready to pump us up with some air we're just checking the charge pipes and we want to make sure that the intercooler here doesn't happen to have any internal cracks it's unlikely but we want to start by checking everything we want to make sure that this isn't seeing any boost and pushing that pressure into the water box up here causing it to leak I'm ready so Wyatt's down here looking for bubbles Jamie's putting the air on right now you seeing anything it's looking looking good up there what's up what's that leak right is there an air leak back here y pretty heavy put right here oh yeah we do got a bad one back there dang the fresh vband yeah we got a bad leak right there yeah pretty bad leak for sure I got more of those O-rings that's why I didn't I think I did say this that I I really hate S400 bband clamps and that's why I put the HDs on it but then the problem is simp another turbo yeah you know but yeah this hey dude that probably would have went a seven if that wasn't Le that's bad that's a big leak I don't know if you felt it but that's literally the same thing mine just did no bubbles in there no bubbles so I think we're good there I think it was just over full yeah we did top it off higher than we ever have you guys can't level very high can't really see it right now but our pump is actually underwater when normally the top of this is still exposed we just had a full bag of ice cuz we wanted her ready to rip yeah so I think it was just all the way up to the vent tube by the time he left and when he launched I'm sure it sosed in there a little bit and came out the vent cuz we have our vent tube right here and it just ends right there and the end of it was kind of wet so and there was condensation on the tank too there was a lot cuz we put the ice in so early I'm sure there was a puddle on the plate already so I think just a combination of those two things is what led to the water yeah I think next one we definitely run it lower and we'll bring some Rags with us right before we go make sure everything's nice and dry off should be good if we do that again they might not let us do it anymore yeah yeah that might be our weekend we I looked back at the video not too much came out but they don't want any drops of fluids coming off these cars out here all right guys so looking at the log we did make 52 lb this red line right here is the Boost ramp right which we have pretty tame yeah so here's our boost ramp you can see how lazy it was I mean it didn't even start ramping boost till we were in second gear and it didn't finish ramping until we were halfway through third yeah so all of first and second gear is still on the low side of of our boost ramp making in the 30 PSI range which we wanted to do we just you know want to make sure it went down the track but we really start seeing a whole bunch of short track improvements when we start pulling that ramp back and having the power come in sooner and sooner yeah so we will uh turn the Boost ramp up some more for this next one I've got it a lot spicier more like the 759 pass was um and then we're going up to 60 lb yep up to 60 lb on the new turbo which is what it did like 61 in lb top on the 75 so and now it's on the smaller turbo so like theoretically if this pass goes well there's no reason there shouldn't be like a mid to low s it should be close to that mid 7c range hopefully should be quicker than that 7 yeah and if we can just do that 60t again that was our best 60t so far which is a great sign so maybe that's a combination of just the good track wider tires extra weight on the nose but getting that slipper dial weight too and uh we're going to add a little weight or tire pressure uh we added a little bit B more on that last pass seem to helped it out quite a bit so we're going to bump that up just a little bit more and see if we can improve that 60t anymore or if we kick the tire yep so we'll see man cool cool so hopefully we get that water box League fixed I think it was just a little full and uh we'll continue on tomorrow guys but we still have a whole weekend ahead of us but we're here we made our qualifier
