iPhone 11 – 20 New Features!

The new iPhones are here, and Apple has made some significant changes to their latest devices. The cameras now feature a Nights mode, which allows for decent photos in low-light situations without the need for flash. If you do want to use the flash, it's now 36% brighter than before.

In addition to improved cameras, the selfie camera has been bumped up to 12 megapixels compared to 7 on last year's iPhone. This allows for wider angle selfies when turning the phone into landscape mode. The new iPhones also feature a new "Future" Apple is calling "Slowmo fees," which records your selfies in glorious 120 frames per second slow motion.

Moving on from the cameras, Apple claims that these new iPhones have the toughest glass on any smartphone. They kind of always tend to say that, so we'll just have to wait and see how these new iPhones actually perform in our job tests.

In addition to more durable glass, Apple says that these new iPhones also have better water resistance. Even more impressive than the new water resistance is the battery claims, with Apple saying that the iPhone 11 will last up to one hour longer than the iPhone 10. The iPhone 11 Pro and the Pro Max will last up to four and five hours longer than the iPhone 10s and 10's max.

Apple credits the improved battery life to the new A13 Bionic chip, which not only has a twenty percent faster CPU but uses up to forty percent less power while also being up to 20 percent faster. The GPU is using a thirty percent less power despite also being up to 20 percent faster.

The iPhone Elevens all have improved sound with spatial audio and Dolby Atmos, trying to simulate surround sound on a phone. Normally, this doesn't really pan out, but hopefully, it should be at least a bit clearer and more dynamic.

One new feature on the iPhone 11 that Apple didn't spend too much time talking about is its new "you one chip," an ultra-wideband chip that gives the iPhone spatial awareness. For example, you can point the iPhone 11 towards someone else in the room and have them prioritized in AirDrop.

The iPhone has also improved Face ID by up to 30%, with support for more angles so hopefully, we'll be able to unlock our phones even when they're lying flat on a table. Additionally, there are faster Wi-Fi downloads with Wi-Fi 6, giving you up to 30% faster downloads. The fast charger will finally be included in the box.

One thing that's not new is the price - the iPhone 11 starts at $700 compared to $750 for last year's model. However, Apple has knocked off the price of the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max, which are now at $999 and $1099 respectively. Last but not least, Apple is bundling Apple TV+ for free for anyone who buys one of these new iPhones.

The new iPhones also don't have 3D Touch anymore, which might be a little disappointing to those who were used to it. However, the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max are at the same price as last year's models, which is good news for those who want the premium features but don't need the 3D Touch.

Overall, the new iPhones have made some significant improvements in various areas, including cameras, battery life, sound quality, and performance. Whether or not these changes will be enough to win over consumers remains to be seen, but one thing is certain - Apple has tried to make its latest devices more appealing to a wider range of users.
