**Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Case Review**

I recently had the opportunity to review one of the latest cases available for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with its design, features, and overall performance.

Upon first glance, this case is definitely a winner. The LED light on top is a standout feature that can be used to notify you of incoming calls, messages, or other notifications. This light is not only visually appealing but also functional. With just a touch, you can answer a phone call, and the earpiece on the top makes it easy to hear your voice when you're on a call.

The case itself has a sleek design that complements the Note 9's overall aesthetic. The grip on the outside is excellent, providing a secure hold even in wet conditions. I performed a grip test by trying to slide my fingers across the surface of the case, and it held up well, showing no movement whatsoever. This suggests that the case will stay closed securely, which is reassuring for those who value protection.

However, one aspect of the case that did not quite meet my expectations was the soft protection on the screen. In the flip cover cases I've reviewed in the past, there's often a small amount of felt or rubberized material on the inside to provide additional grip and protection against scratches. Unfortunately, this case does not have such a feature. Instead, it relies on the wallet compartment, which sometimes slides around when held.

Despite this minor complaint, I still highly recommend this case for its overall design, durability, and functionality. The fact that it's available for approximately $64 is relatively affordable compared to some of the other high-end cases on the market.

One of the standout features of this case is the LED icon editor, which allows you to customize your notifications. In the settings menu, I was able to access advanced features, including accessories, and then select LED Icon Editor. From there, I could choose from various pre-made icons or create my own custom design using a drawing tool. This feature adds a touch of personality to your notifications, making them more visually appealing.

The case also has the benefit of covering up your screen at night, which can be a practical advantage for those who tend to fall asleep with their phone on or use it in low-light environments. Additionally, the case provides some protection against accidental drops by having a slight lip on the front.

In conclusion, I'm extremely impressed with this Samsung Galaxy Note 9 case. Its design, features, and functionality make it an excellent choice for anyone looking to protect and personalize their phone. While there's room for improvement in certain areas, such as the soft protection on the screen, overall I highly recommend giving this case a try.

wireless charge also see how the grip is on the devices and how they look let's get started everybody welcome to tech with Brad where I help tech work for you and in today's video we're going to be checking out all of these different cases for the note 9 now before we begin I do want to mention that I have the Whitestone dome glass tempered glass already installed on my phone I made a video all about how to install that and how it works so you can check that out but all of the cases today and pretty much every case that I have tested so far is compatible with this dome glass maybe there are some outliers there that don't work but just so you know if case you're gonna ask that yes they do work so first I do want to mention that all of the cases in today's video were provided by the manufacturer except for the Samsung and the speck case everything else was provided for me to test out first let's start off here with this case from tourists this is a clear case when I pull that out of the box I almost didn't even see it it was so clear but it looks really nice very simple this isn't gonna be like your ultimate protective case but just to keep something on your phone so you don't get any micro scratches here on the back of the device it fits really well here the buttons work no problem there and then wireless charging of course this is so small it should work with no issues now next let's move to the grip test so the grip test the biggest thing about it is most of the time if you have this laying on your lap or something you don't want it to keep falling off or maybe you sit it somewhere maybe on like a sofa armrest or something so here let's see how the grip test does and it slides right down and one other thing is on the front you will want to notice the lip so there you can see that there is not a ton of lip protection from the case it doesn't even come up past the Whitestone dome glass so this isn't going to be the best if your phone drops down flat but this will do a pretty good job again the grip it actually does much better when laid down on the front and that may be because it's gripping to the screen as well but I found that when you lay it down like this most of the time it works much better so there is the crystal-clear note 9 ultra-thin case from tourists now they have a few other options here here is one that has a black outside edge and then it is clear on the back and I think that looks really good it kind of finishes off that block black look around the side and then down here you do have an option where you could place a lanyard on it if you wanted to do that so it looks really good in this phone I do have the ocean blue galaxy note 9 you can see how that looks there and of course getting to the fingerprint scanner no problem and it doesn't cover up the cameras or anything so again fits pretty well let's try a grip test here slides right down and the front slides right down and then the last case from Taurus here I do like this one this blue it kind of matches the phone and then you have the clear on the back so there you can see how it looks on the sides very thin I really like how this doesn't make your phone feel much bigger than it already is you know if you're looking for something just very minimal this is definitely going to be your case the case brand that you want to check out so here let's see again now these ones don't offer much for grip so the Taurus crystal case will run you about $13.50 now didn't slide down quite as fast there and the front stays no problem so many people might ask why you would put your phone down like this well if it's on a soft surface and you have detective cover it really doesn't matter but also you can use the edge lighting feature which I will show in another video so pretty simple case there it works really well now next from ESR we have another case here it's got some cool designs here on the back I don't know if you can see those but it looks really good fits on very snug and it doesn't grip as much as the clear cases that is one of the benefits of having a clear case you fill it this is a little more smooth or soft maybe just because I'm have super dry hands now no charging issues with any of these these cases are pretty thin there so it has a really good look if you don't want your case to be too shiny it has that matte finish and with a grip on this one it actually does better than the other ones there so the front not as good but the back does great so then the last ESR case is something that I'm actually very impressed by so this is the ESR galaxy note 9 with 9h tempered glass on the back so this is actually glass back here so that would help protect your phone and then you have these protective covers around the outside of the edge now holding this feels really nice I like the grip on the sides and then you have some nice clicky buttons there and then on the back this looks just like you were to have your own original phone on the back there so it has the nice glass and you can see the reflection there works really well and this does come in a few different colors you can get in the black or blue or I think even white and so at first pulling this out it just looks very premium it does cost you $19 but I really like how this looks and for durability it should be pretty scratch resistant it is the 9h hardness and then also it is able to absorb any shock because of the sides I feel like there's plenty of lip there where you wouldn't have any problems if you drop it it's very shock resistant so then when we go to the grip test it actually does a great job because of those sides are so grippy and on the front there you have no problems now let's check the charging or quick work no problem and that's because wireless charging will go through glass or it will go through plastic and with no issues that's why they don't use a metal back because you can't use wireless charging so there you go that is the ESR glass back for the galaxy note 9 so I'm definitely a big fan of this case so the next brand case is ring K now they have cases that range from $8 all the way to $12 I really like this blue color I'm trying to get away from the black that I usually show off so I really like this color it doesn't have quite the grip as I thought it would with that little texture on the back there so it might be a little slippery but I'm really not a problem there we will get that in the grip test but here you can see buttons actually work very well there and then wireless charging works no problem now I do want to mention here I have a wireless charger by Taurus and this does have the micro USB on the back and then here I have one by rinkai which does have the USB C on the back so you guys can check that out in the description below and the rinkai one also comes with this where you can plug in an iPhone charger and then plug in the USB C so let's test out the Rinka one with the Rinka case and there we go it works no problem so now let's move on to the grip test and like I thought it would just slide right off the front is a little bit better now so far all of these cases I've tested haven't done very good with the lip but this one actually does come up quite a bit more or if the phone fell to the ground this offers a little bit of protection but definitely you would want to have that tempered glass so that it really protects your screen so now we have the rinkai onyx case so it has this really nice texture on the back I like how that looks it feels good in the hand a little bit slippery in there but shouldn't be a problem of the same clicky buttons there and then here on the grip test it does a really good job at gripping pretty impressed by that and on the front does pretty much the same so now we can check the lip on the front it has some extra space there so if you are placing it facedown on the table it shouldn't hit the table but again glass protector is definitely recommended and last for inkay we have the fusion X case now I do want to mention that inside this case there is a protective film that you want to remove before you place this on your phone and that's there so it stays super clean before you place it on your phone so there are not any extra marks on there now also I want to mention if you have a sticker on the back of your phone you can take that off huge pet peeve if you leave that on you don't need to have that on there it's not very cool when you get a nice brand new case and you have this sticker on the back so you can take that off but look at this I really like how this looks it lets me show off the color of my phone has a nice shiny look to it and it has really good grip and I like these protective edges it actually feels really thin in the hand and these buttons on the side are really cool they're really easy to feel where they are at and to press so I'm really liking this Fusion x case that is some pretty cool material there on the back so then again let's try it on the wireless charger works no problem and now let's go in for the grip test so here at the back of the phone does a great job in gripping and here the front again no problems there so this one is much better in protecting the front up here I can see that it's got a much better grip around the edges and on the sides it does a really good job so I really am impressed with this one as well I kind of like that shiny look that it offers now finger prints I don't think you're going to see many there yeah it might be better than actually using the phone because there's less fingerprints that you might see so those are the ring K cases next we do have these Zizou bolt series cases so these are military-grade here I have a few colors comes in a bunch of different colors but it does have a few different layers of protection so here you can see the inner layer that you would around your phone and then you have that outside layer of protection but all you need to do is place it in here now one of my concerns with this case was is it going to work with my white stone dome glass you just need to be careful when you're putting it in but it is able to fit in with no problem it didn't bunch up on the sides there's about a millimeter of clearance there but works really well with that white stone dome glass and this definitely has some really good protection to it it's not flimsy at all and then I really like this color stands out and then on the back here we do have a kickstand so I can just pop that out and there my phone is in kickstand come on chubby Dios and then you might need to push it in there you can pull it out more and then it snaps back in the buttons on here work no problem I do wish that this was a little more grippy like some of the other cases I have seen today but let's go ahead and test out wireless charging on here see that that works no problem and then let's go to the grip test and that works awesome and no problems there the back doesn't have the same story and then for the lip on the front this does the best so far of having that protection so if you were to drop it down face down it would have no problem in protecting the phone itself now when you get this case it also comes with this little clip for your belt so that you can easily attach the phone there and this is very sturdy you know pulling it you're not going to have it braked at all you can flip this around clips very well right there and then the phone is able to easily sit down here and then it clips right in the top so you have that rugged case right there and then it also comes with a glass screen protector so it's sitting in here and the case when you get it now I did do a full review of this in one of my previous video so you can check that out I'll link it above but the case actually performed really well it has adhesive on the top here and on the sides and the bottom and over here and getting it off with it you know little difficult but I was really impressed with how the screen protector works it does only cost about ten dollars but it would do a good job in protecting if you want to get the tempered glass and the case all-in-one this will do that and then here is the other color that I have this is the black color there so they have a bunch of other color options available as well now the red one does come with a black belt holster as well and then they come with a little lanyard years and then you could attach this lanyard to your phone down here at the bottom you do have the little lanyard piece right there that you can use so this is definitely a good protective case would recommend this really like the design kind of cool and then I like these little pieces at the back they four more to fall down like that they're able to take in some of the absorption as well with the new fingerprint placement on the note 9 I've actually had no problems with any of the cases and the fingerprint it is in a really nice spot right there and you can pick this case up for about $19 now next let's move on to the spec presidio case now if you haven't seen any of my case videos before I'm a huge fan of spec I love the grip that offers and the minimalistic design but it is able to offer a great grip because of the sides here so this is the presidio case and it does have ten feet of drop protection and the buttons click really nice on the side I like what it offers there and this is definitely the perfect color I just love it something about it stood out to me so I picked it up on Amazon right now it is only the black color but you may be able to find one of these cases nearby so very good case right there when we place it on the charger works with no problems and then the grip test is where I think this case really stands out so when we place it on there there is absolutely no sliding around and then when we place it on the front it does a great job as well now let's check out the lip here on the front so it is able to offer a bit of protection there in case it drops face down and yeah very impressed with the spec cases overall now this one is definitely go to be a bit more expensive as it does cost $45 but again they've lasted very well for me and I really like some of the color options that they have as well now next we are going to move on to the Samsung rugged protective cover so I use this on my Galaxy S 9 and it became one of my most favorite cases that I had so here you have this nice back it has a really good grip to it it does really good and protecting the phone and then here you have a kickstand so that easily pops up you can place it down watch your videos play your games whatever now it can come off easily in case somebody's trying to pull it but it's able to be placed on very easily you can even have your phone like that if you wanted to but that is the Samsung rugged case you know charging with the wireless charging pad works no problem there now let's test out the grip so it feels like it has a good grip in your hand like I like how it feels but with the grill test here it does not do a good job let's try the front awesome so it works there and then here you can see on the front the lip at the top of the device is able to offer some really good drought protection there and that's how it works so this fits no problem with the tempered glass as well so yeah I definitely like this case now this one will cost you about $40 but highly recommended by me now typically I do like to get the Samsung flip cover so I didn't pick one up for the note 9 but this offers the ability to see the always-on display through this little film right here and then it is a kickstand as well so you can prop that up and it would be a kickstand and then it will automatically open and close your phone when you do this but I wasn't able to pick one up so today I'm gonna try on a brand new case this is the LED wallet cover something I've been interested in for a long time but today we're gonna finally show it off so here we can place our phone in now this does have the option to automatically open and close the screen and there you can see the LED light up on the top so this will show time notifications phone calls and then you can gonna answer the phone call just by touching it up here at the top on the side you do have some buttons there so you can see where the volume up and down is as well as the big speed button and then it leaves the power button open right there and you could answer a phone call there's the earpiece on the top there now this doesn't have the kickstand like the flip cover did but I really like this case so far it will cost you a little more it's about sixty four dollars but I'm really impressed with what it does and then the grip on the outside is actually very good so let's try that out real quick you can see no movement there as well front or back with the grip test and then there you can see the instantly opens and closes now there is no magnet or anything to keep it shut it will just automatically open and shut like that but I feel like it stays closed really well there's no problems with it closing up the only complaint I do have about this case is this little felt here I really like on the flip cover how it's more of a grippy inside so here you can see that it has this nice little soft protection for your screen where this one has that felt to cover and that's because you have the wallet in here but when I'm holding the phone then it slides right off so if we do the grip test there you'll see that it just slides right down so that's my only complaint about this but putting a card in here super easy I do recommend probably only to have one card in there if you want more cards add them to Samsung pay anymore cards might expand this a little too far or you could have some damage to your screen they do recommend that you do not put credit cards in there as the magnet that this uses to open and close the screen might cause damage to the card so you may not want to put one of those in there so now let's talk about the best thing that this case has which is the LED cover here on the front so in the settings of the phone I can go to the settings and then I can go under advanced features and I can go under accessories and then here I have LED icon editor so you can come in here and choose whichever one of these you would like for your notifications they anim they're really fun you can add some different colors and then you can also choose custom so over here I have chosen custom colors so if I get a text or a call from certain people it will show one of those so to create a new one I click the plus and then I can just draw my shape or whatever I want right there and then we can name it and then when I'm done we can choose if it shows up with calls or notifications so I just click Add choose the person I want and then we also have different colors down here that we can choose that will light up so let's show you how that works so now I have a call coming through and so here you can see that I answer or decline the call one way or the other so if I swipe that way that will begin the call and here you can see my time right there so that's pretty sweet and then if I wanted to end the call I think I have to open it up and select end call so now let's check out a notification and there I have a little notification and you can see it animate so pretty cool very minimalistic on the notifications I like that this case actually covers up your screen at night so maybe if you get a phone call or if you have a wireless charger that when the battery gets full it doesn't light up the whole room so that would be one of the benefits of having this as well now looking at the protection on the front it does have a little bit of a lip there so for the most part with this case you're gonna have the case closed but if it was open and you drop it there is at least something to protect the phone on the front and that is it for my samsung galaxy note 9 case review here are some of my favorites that we reviewed today definitely a good protective case would recommend this really like the design kind of cool and then I like these little pieces at the back they four more to fall down like that they're able to take in some of the absorption as well with the new fingerprint placement on the note 9 I've actually had no problems with any of the cases and the fingerprint it is in a really nice spot right there and you can pick this case up for about $19 now next let's move on to the spec presidio case now if you haven't seen any of my case videos before I'm a huge fan of spec I love the grip that offers and the minimalistic design but it is able to offer a great grip because of the sides here so this is the presidio case and it does have ten feet of drop protection and the buttons click really nice on the side I like what it offers there and this is definitely the perfect color I just love it something about it stood out to me so I picked it up on Amazon right now it is only the black color but you may be able to find one of these cases nearby so very good case right there when we place it on the charger works with no problems and then the grip test is where I think this case really stands out so when we place it on there there is absolutely no sliding around and then when we place it on the front it does a great job as well now let's check out the lip here on the front so it is able to offer a bit of protection there in case it drops face down and yeah very impressed with the spec cases overall now this one is definitely go to be a bit more expensive as it does cost $45 but again they've lasted very well for me and I really like some of the color options that they have as well now next we are going to move on to the Samsung rugged protective cover so I use this on my Galaxy S 9 and it became one of my most favorite cases that I had so here you have this nice back it has a really good grip to it it does really good and protecting the phone and then here you have a kickstand so that easily pops up you can place it down watch your videos play your games whatever now it can come off easily in case somebody's trying to pull it but it's able to be placed on very easily you can even have your phone like that if you wanted to but that is the Samsung rugged case you know charging with the wireless charging pad works no problem there now let's test out the grip so it feels like it has a good grip in your hand like I like how it feels but with the grill test here it does not do a good job let's try the front awesome so it works there and then here you can see on the front the lip at the top of the device is able to offer some really good drought protection there and that's how it works so this fits no problem with the tempered glass as well so yeah I definitely like this case now this one will cost you about $40 but highly recommended by me now typically I do like to get the Samsung flip cover so I didn't pick one up for the note 9 but this offers the ability to see the always-on display through this little film right here and then it is a kickstand as well so you can prop that up and it would be a kickstand and then it will automatically open and close your phone when you do this but I wasn't able to pick one up so today I'm gonna try on a brand new case this is the LED wallet cover something I've been interested in for a long time but today we're gonna finally show it off so here we can place our phone in now this does have the option to automatically open and close the screen and there you can see the LED light up on the top so this will show time notifications phone calls and then you can gonna answer the phone call just by touching it up here at the top on the side you do have some buttons there so you can see where the volume up and down is as well as the big speed button and then it leaves the power button open right there and you could answer a phone call there's the earpiece on the top there now this doesn't have the kickstand like the flip cover did but I really like this case so far it will cost you a little more it's about sixty four dollars but I'm really impressed with what it does and then the grip on the outside is actually very good so let's try that out real quick you can see no movement there as well front or back with the grip test and then there you can see the instantly opens and closes now there is no magnet or anything to keep it shut it will just automatically open and shut like that but I feel like it stays closed really well there's no problems with it closing up the only complaint I do have about this case is this little felt here I really like on the flip cover how it's more of a grippy inside so here you can see that it has this nice little soft protection for your screen where this one has that felt to cover and that's because you have the wallet in here but when I'm holding the phone then it slides right off so if we do the grip test there you'll see that it just slides right down so that's my only complaint about this but putting a card in here super easy I do recommend probably only to have one card in there if you want more cards add them to Samsung pay anymore cards might expand this a little too far or you could have some damage to your screen they do recommend that you do not put credit cards in there as the magnet that this uses to open and close the screen might cause damage to the card so you may not want to put one of those in there so now let's talk about the best thing that this case has which is the LED cover here on the front so in the settings of the phone I can go to the settings and then I can go under advanced features and I can go under accessories and then here I have LED icon editor so you can come in here and choose whichever one of these you would like for your notifications they anim they're really fun you can add some different colors and then you can also choose custom so over here I have chosen custom colors so if I get a text or a call from certain people it will show one of those so to create a new one I click the plus and then I can just draw my shape or whatever I want right there and then we can name it and then when I'm done we can choose if it shows up with calls or notifications so I just click Add choose the person I want and then we also have different colors down here that we can choose that will light up so let's show you how that works so now I have a call coming through and so here you can see that I answer or decline the call one way or the other so if I swipe that way that will begin the call and here you can see my time right there so that's pretty sweet and then if I wanted to end the call I think I have to open it up and select end call so now let's check out a notification and there I have a little notification and you can see it animate so pretty cool very minimalistic on the notifications I like that this case actually covers up your screen at night so maybe if you get a phone call or if you have a wireless charger that when the battery gets full it doesn't light up the whole room so that would be one of the benefits of having this as well now looking at the protection on the front it does have a little bit of a lip there so for the most part with this case you're gonna have the case closed but if it was open and you drop it there is at least something to protect the phone on the front and that is it for my samsung galaxy note 9 case review here are some of my favorites that we reviewed today really impressed with a lot of these and how they look and the feel so
