Belkin is already introducing their own MagSafe wireless charging multi dock that will charge your iPhone, Apple Watch, and set up AirPods all at the same time. They have also released a new wireless mount that they are going to use for the car, which does not offer charging but is an easy way to mount your phone in the car.

A new Belkin MagSafe mount is also on the horizon, which will be used for the car and will integrate Apple's MagSafe charger into their own stand, creating an all-in-one solution to mount your phone and charge it while in the car. This marks a new direction for wireless charging and mounting solutions.

Apple is now integrating MagSafe into its own cases, with silicone and clear cases available at launch, as well as promises of leather ones to come. The cases will utilize MagSafe components, including a magnetometer that can detect those magnetic signals and an NFC ring which can detect what the accessory is and maybe what it should be doing.

When the phone is inserted into the case, the MagSafe components will allow the phone to identify that it is a sleeve and turn on the clock on the front to shine through the sleeve, so you can see the time. This integration allows for a seamless interaction between the phone and accessory, making it feel like one package.

Apple has its own cases now because MagSafe is integrated into them, which means they will work with MagSafe chargers. If you put on an Apple MagSafe-compatible case, you can snap that wireless charger right onto the back of it. However, this does come with a caveat - if you are going to use a third-party case, there is no guarantee that it will work with the MagSafe chargers.

Third parties are able to integrate MagSafe into their cases, but at launch, no one else has done that because it's just being announced. Case manufacturers will have to build support for MagSafe into their cases before it will fully work. If you have a thick case like an Otterbox, the magnets may not be strong enough to hold that charger on there and hold it securely where it needs to be to properly charge your phone.

One of the exciting uses of MagSafe is for accessories like wallets. Apple has released its own leather wallet with MagSafe Max, which allows you to snap onto the back of your phone and hold on to your cards or a little bit of cash without having to carry a wallet around. This technology has potential beyond just accessories - it can be integrated into other devices and products.

The full potential of MagSafe will depend on what third-party accessory makers bring out with this technology. It's a whole new world, a whole new ecosystem of iPhone accessories that we never had before. The integration of MagSafe into different products will require manufacturers to work together and create new solutions.

those magnets around the back now those magnets help for a bunch of different reasons from mounting cases to different accessories to of course wireless charging so starting with wireless charging using magsafe you can now charge your phone faster at up to 15 watts of power that is crazy because before with standard qi wireless charging you're limited to seven and a half watts so the new iphone 12 line if you want to use qi wireless charging great you can still do it and you get seven half watts of power but if you use a mag safe wireless charger you can get up to 15 watts of power part of it is the new coil design that they're using to get that faster speed without having as much heat but at the same time they're using those magnets to help properly place your phone with the phone placed perfectly over the you know wireless charging sweet spot there it's able to make sure you're getting that fastest speed because with a wireless charger if you're even a tiny bit off the center you're getting drastically lower speeds and you don't even know it so that's one of the reasons why apple is using those magnets to make sure that you're properly centered on that wireless charger so you can get the fastest speeds now what wireless chargers are there out there well apple of course will have its own it'll have its own magsafe charger but they're also going to be introducing the magsafe duo charger this is a very cool folding charger that'll power up your apple watch as well as your iphone at the same time just plop them both down and boom they can charge and like i said it completely folds up ready to go so you can take it with you making a great travel charger as well as working great by your bedside so apple will be having the magsafe and the magsafe duo wireless
