Hello and Welcome to Tech Me Out: Exploring Status Hug Too
Hello and welcome to tech me out today! I have a very quick video for all of you, and I just discovered on Cydia known as status hug too. What it does is it moves your volume HUD that typically appears in the middle of your screen to your status bar instead. So, when I adjust my valium now, I no longer have that ugly volume hood that would typically appear in the middle of my screen taking away from anything that I'm looking at. Now, instead, it appears on my status bar and I personally like this a lot better. It just provides a very clean experience when you're going to be adjusting your volume on your device, especially if you're going to be watching a video or even viewing a picture of something like that. It doesn't take away from it by covering it up.
The Best Part: A Free Tweak
Now, there are some options to configure from within settings. So, you do have the option to turn the tweak on or off. And, of course, you can adjust the styles. Currently, the icons that appear up here are circles, but I can adjust them so that they are squares instead. Let's take a look at that and see how it looks. As you can see, it might be a little hard to tell, but let me zoom in for this option. And there we have the squares. Now, if I change the style to circles, we also have the circles as an option. Another thing you have is the ability to adjust the size of the icons that appear up there. I can make them smaller and then adjust my volume here. As you can see, they are slightly bigger than they were before.
Dismissing Delay: A Nice Touch
Another option you have is to dismiss delay. You can make it very slow so that when you finish turning the volume up or down, it takes a while before it clears out of your status bar. This might be nice for some people who want to keep the HUD on their screen for a bit longer. And those are really all of the options that you have for Status Hug Too. But, I personally think it's one that everyone should have on their iDevice.
