**Creating a World Around Products: A Conversation with [Brand Name]**
We sat down with [Brand Name], the creative force behind their stunning product photography, to discuss the process of bringing their designs to life. As soon as we met, it was clear that this project was going to be special. "It felt like this was gonna be a fun project," said [Name], reflecting on the initial meeting. "Take those products and create that world around it – which you did amazingly." The result is absolutely stunning, with beautiful scenes and intricate details that draw the viewer in.
As we delved deeper into the process, it became clear that there was a lot of brainstorming and planning involved. [Name] explained that they had a list of themes on their website to work with, as well as a shortlist of products that felt like they would be the top 10 to fit those categories. "We just did a lot of big brain thinking," said [Name]. "What does this look like? What if we do this?" The team's creative energy was palpable, and it showed in the final product.
One of the standout aspects of the photography is the attention to detail. [Name] explained that they had to create entire scenes from scratch, using a combination of official products and custom-made elements. "We're taking a look here," said [Name], holding up a small bin filled with tiny characters and models. "These are our space guys – yes, that's the official term!" The team spent several days photographing the six scenes they had created, carefully lighting and arranging each element to capture the perfect shot.
The end result is truly breathtaking. As we flipped through the photos, it was clear that every element had been meticulously considered. From the subtle placement of tiny objects in the background to the perfectly posed models, everything felt deliberate and intentional. And it's not just the products themselves – the entire scene feels like a real location.
The team behind [Brand Name] is clearly passionate about what they do, and it shows in every aspect of their work. As we chatted, we couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and enthusiasm for their project. It's clear that this was a labor of love, and the end result is all the more satisfying for it.
**Behind the Scenes**
We also had the chance to ask [Name] about some of the specifics behind the photography process. "It depends on how many people we have," said [Name]. "If we're shooting just one or two scenes, it's usually quicker – but when you get into more complex scenes with multiple models and elements, it can take a lot longer." The team relies on a lighting and camera crew to ensure that every shot is perfect.
We also got a glimpse of the team's creative process through some of their comments on social media. Joe commented on Facebook, saying "Finally a replacement for this year's Christmas catalog Sandra clauser!" Sandra indeed, it seems! And [Name] has been raving about the paparazzi photoshoot in the background.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwe are back here with Digital Trends live thank you for joining us live on YouTube Facebook periscope and twitch and we are very excited now to talk about our digital interesting directions with it and I have one of the fantastic people behind the art this year G Scott from house special hello G hi are you different doing well thank you so much for hopping in here I have to say just behind the scenes no one has ever had so many people taking pictures of him as G does right now they're like there's a paparazzi in here so just to give you a little bit behind the camera but G let's talk about this I have to point out what's just sitting here on the on the desk in front of us like your lovely computer that you have there well yeah but you have your laptop I figured I should bring my desk to work just how it is like you carried this everywhere you go on the max yeah typing on this huh well let's let's show some images of this Holiday Gift Guide cuz I want to walk through this from the beginning talk about what a what you do maybe we should talk about that first so you're the art director at house special you know for everybody watching what is house special how special is an animation company we specialize in all forms of animation and storytelling and character design and we are here in Portland with you guys nice how did you get into this Wow yeah all the way back I guess once upon a time I used to build models as a kid and I didn't realize there was any kind of industry that meant that you could do that it's my career so I went off and I became an interior designer and realized that actually I met a few people who worked in animation I thought oh well then I should stop doing this yeah so I quit that and and I met a few people and kind of made my way in from the bottom and work my way up Wow congratulations that's that's great what can we like finding out what you love to do and yeah and something that you loved as a child and be able to turn that in like oh sweet I can make a career right and don't be afraid to just kind of switch halfway through something yeah absolutely I mean that's that takes some risk well we have that so the Holiday Gift Guide let's start with that we have some images too that I'm gonna show everybody but of course just go to Digital Trends calm and click there on the gift guide take a look through the entire thing there's lots of amazing products that are on there that you can pick out but how did this how did this where did it all start from this idea of what what came what became the Holiday Gift Guide we had conversation so with Digital Trends it came to visit us and we we we talked through just like the vision for it which was to try and maybe make a world that would have little scenarios but then you would realize that the world itself is built from some of the products they might display and there was a lot of conversations but I think right from that first meeting it felt like this was gonna be a fun project yeah take those products and and create that world around it which you did amazingly I mean it is absolutely it's beautiful where you create it but I mean where do you go from me I get that there's that concept clearly I do not have the vision to see this kind of thing through like what do you what do you do from that you know how did you decide that these are the models we're gonna use or we're gonna create these miniatures and what kind of scenes you create it well we had we had themes that the you can now see on the website so we had those themes to work with and then there were there was a short list of products that felt like they were maybe the top 10 that would fit in that category uh-huh and then there was kind of just big brain thinking yeah just a lot of people thinking what does this look like right because let's take this echo look like a 10 or some some of them it felt like right away you think wow if this is all like audio equipment what about if we do like a gig scene that would be cool and then once we had that in front of the camera we're thinking well what about if we put like a whole crowd of people in here that would make it all the more fun and the more people we could put in the more we could hide little extra scenarios so that like when you when you look at them you can kind of hunt around and find all the little people that we put in there yeah and there's a bunch of I mean there's a lot of Easter eggs basically what are these because I was I was kind of going through it I still need to go through a bunch of them in particular the one you're talking about with the like the the concert performance huh that is really cool down to the fact that you know you have the camera crews there a filming it yeah in there like that's imagine you can see them no it's probably not it is tiny that is the actual cameras so and that's the other thing I wanted to discuss like because you're using the actual products you had to make this so small to make it work are these all I'm assuming hand-built by you guys this there's some there's some characters and some little elements that you can get that work at like model railroad scale uh-huh so if we could find things that we could adapt then that worked really well but for the most part we're coming up with a scene that nobody no one puts there like I said a cookery class in the railroad scene so we had to make everything which is which is part of what we do and yeah we're taking a look here so he's got a little bin with a whole bunch of yeah the characters these these tiny little space guys space guys that's official term I wish you guys guys space team yes there we go that is so tiny I've got tiny hands but so you I have giant so you can so you you created these these different characters and these different scenes and you pcs together and how long does it take to photograph something like that it depends I guess it takes a while because we have a lighting and camera team uh-huh so we're gonna want to make sure that everything looks as perfect as we want it to be I think we we spent quite a few days maybe three four days shooting the the six scenes that we did mm-hmm just because right yeah you just want a few options you want to see maybe you move a tiny miniature bird just over to the left a little bit and see if that works better man I'm taking a look here to some of the comments coming through on Facebook Joe says finally a replacement for this year's Christmas catalog Sandra clauser it's absolutely outstanding yeah and I think as everybody gets a chance to look at this you know since it just came out I mean it really is amazing like it does yes in the background once again the paparazzi for G is dancing to I just need to get a camera shot of this I'll have yeah right no so well gee I mean this is just so incredible I mean fantastic work thank you and where where do you go where can people follow the rest
