I'm going to put the uh little baffle plate in here not my best were but uh looks half decent pulling up the bells same dude that did the cage on the E36 look at this it's the exact same intake manifold as this that came off the other engine this is some Next Level right here I think I'm pretty much ready to put the intake manifold on probably never seen anything like this before because this is the very first prototype version that I am gratefully using while we've been away in Long Beach California B race Works has been getting the cage all dialed in on the S15 look at this and the plan was to try to keep the rear part of the cage the least amount intrusive as possible fire fire on fire we have the very first prototype Sr to 335i DF sixspeed adapter a lot of preparation has gone into getting to this point so now it's a fun part where we get to put all the shiny new parts on
all right guys IED up we powered through tried to get the car started because I wanted to have it started early to make sure there's no issues sure enough there was a massive issue so we've got some metal damage in here this was the built engine not a fun situation now I'm going to pull this thing out and swap everything over there's a little bit of scoring on the cam that I can just barely feel with my fingernail but they can probably polish that out no problem TG yo
it sounds sick Martin from RSN P we're paying you a visit today and you're going to two my S15 and it's going to rip it's already getting a little bit of a weird noise in the head so we're just checking it out this one right down here you can see has like two spray patterns it's not supposed to be like that so they're dripping dripping it's definitely got what sounds like rod knock we don't think it's rot we think it's something in the head there's a lot of variables but I think right now we're just you can see a lot of little glitter damn we're lucky that thing didn't let go engine's coming back out for hopefully last time I mean maybe we cled really
you know sound the same there she is it's been a long day it is final assembly day before we go to hyperfest got her loaded up 17 engines later we made it it's beautiful here and it looks so good right now all right I think we're going to call it a quits for the weekend with this thing that last session it drank about a half gallon of coolant I'm praying it's not the head gasket but we've pretty much eliminated everything else one thing that kind of makes me a little bit nervous of maybe a head gasket issue is seeing what appears to be some of the shellac aggregating around like the radiator cap area
cylinder number two and three have what appears to be quite a bit of detonation it is clear as day you can see compression is leaking on cylinder number two this engine is toast very toast beautiful so me and Lee decided we would just leave it at a modest 23 lb I left us around 450 wheel and right under 400lbs of torque all right we're about to go out let's go see how it feels
you say you say what you say I got carried away I'm stoked I hope you guys enjoyed that compilation Montage whatever you want to call it another brief update on this thing it is about to go up to drift week this car is going to have thousands of miles put on it driving on the East Coast it's going to be drifting a bunch of different tracks and it's going to be the first real test that things gotten uh I haven't driven it on 93 yet I've only driven on ethanol
and there's a few things that I want to change I'm going to change the cams on it and right now the car has a brand new FDF Mega mantis angle kit on it I haven't tried it yet but I drove sha Booth's car uh his rb25 S15 and it felt really good so I wanted to give it a shot on this I've just been kind of tinkering and trying a bunch of different stuff and for whatever reason I can't get the car to feel how I want it to and his car felt really good so that's the update with that but
I hope you guys enjoy this video and we're going to have a lot more S15 content coming soon cuz this thing is about to get put through its Paces thank you guys
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys and welcome to today's video this is a 10-minute compilation of everything that went into building this car right here now this car I got to kind of have a missile and it turned into one of those projects but what was really special about this car is in 2 weeks we were able to put together this entire thing and I think this car more than anything else is a testament of what our team is capable of I'm super proud of this car the time that we spent and put into it and the level of build that it came out to be it's not perfect just yet but it's pretty damn close enjoy what a car it is definitely a little bit of a hoopie not bad oh my God I need to turn the car off man I got carried away this happens a lot there's damage everywhere it actually looks not so bad right now perfect opportunity to still get one at a decent price I know that it's been crashed so I can drift it with zero remor P the fenders off put the car in the air for the first time and see how bad the damage really is it's a lot ther than I expected exhaust has seen some better days it's 205 how long will it take us ball to Sr car's going up just under an hour three bols holding the upper plom on so we're just going to drop the subframe that's project right now Ray is actually coming this weekend to start prepping and painting the engine bay rigs in the way Captain America over the weekend Ray both prepped and painted the engine bay already it's called Java green and it's actually like a BMW individual color is that a shim from marck I got bad news it's not just oil that's in the pan this looks like a stock rod these Rod caps look OEM that looks like a Nissan logo Pistons look stock too somebody got scammed I had this thing all cleaned and prepped however I used the wrong brake cleaner and it melted the paint right off not bad I'm reinstalling the baffle now I get to put the uh little baffle plate in here not my best were but uh looks half decent pulling up
