The Daily Driven Exotics Crew Embarks on a Luxury Cruise to Whistler
Hey I'm Damon and you're watching Daily Driven Exotics today we're here with SR Auto Group, a couple of really good friends of mine well, the performance shop here in Vancouver British Columbia. We've decided to join this large crew of exotic cars for a beautiful cruise from downtown Vancouver up to Whistler British Columbia. And we're all going to be cruising with a boat a pack as you can see of and I'll somewhere in the neighborhood of about 60 supercars.
As we prepare for our luxurious getaway, I'm excited to share some news about the charity that brought us together today. We've partnered with Matt Zhang, a good friend of mine who drives for SR Auto Group, and they do phenomenal fundraising for the BC Children's Hospital. The charity is focused on building a new cancer research facility, as well as expanding their existing one which is out of space. We thought it would be great to support this cause and give back to the community.
So, we've got an amazing lineup of cars to take on our journey, including my personal ride - a Lamborghini Gallardo with 1,500 horsepower twin-turbo engines. But I might just have a change of pace and jump in my buddy Ray's personal ride, which is an LP640 Murcielago. We'll have plenty of fun, see many cars, and give you the show you guys always want.
I'm here with Matt Zhang, who will tell us a little bit more about this incredible charity and what they're doing to make a difference in the community. As I mentioned earlier, we've partnered with SR Auto Group, who have been hosting track days and car shows around town. And 50% or more of their profit always goes to supporting the BC Children's Hospital. This is fantastic news, and we're grateful for their generosity.
As we get ready to hit the road, I notice that one of our fellow cruisers has asked me a question about racing - she wants to know if my buddy on Avenger Buzz would like to race her in her minivan with an L on the back. It's not every day we see a minivan at a supercar cruise, but it looks like we've got a spirited competitor among us.
Now that we're all set to go, let's take a closer look at some of the amazing cars on display today. One of them is this gorgeous 2012 Lamborghini Aventador, which has just been fitted with SR Auto Group's Pure Line wheels. Take a look at that - it's a stunning example of Italian design and engineering. And check out the V12 engine in the back there - it's producing an impressive 700 horsepower!
I have to admit, I'm feeling a little jealous right now because this Lamborghini Aventador is not available for me to drive today. But on the plus side, I do have my own personal ride with me, which is a Murcielago LP640 that just so happens to be daily driven. Yes, you heard that right - it's a supercar that's suitable for everyday driving. And it looks absolutely stunning in its full matte black finish, complete with SR Auto Group's Pure Wheels.
We've made it to the Four Seasons so far, and I'm pleased to report that everyone has arrived safely without any breakdowns or speeding tickets. In fact, we're all having a great time inside enjoying some drinks and each other's company.
