Unlocking Your iPhone 4s with Verizon Using T-Mobile's Network

This video showcases an iPhone 4s that was originally locked to Verizon on a contract. The device is running firmware 5.1.1 on the 1.0 point 13 baseband and is currently connected to T-Mobile's network. To begin, you will need to jailbreak your iPhone using Cydia.

To do this, click on the annotation provided in the video that takes you to a jailbreak video. Once you have completed the jailbreak process, go into Cydia and add a source by clicking on "Manage" and then "Edit" and selecting "Add Source". The recommended source is repo dot be ingeare and calm.

You may encounter verification errors when adding the source. This is okay - simply restart your device, try again, type in the repository name, click Add Source, and eventually you will get it working. Once you have added the source, you will see a new package installed on your Springboard. Clicking on this package will take you to a menu with more options.

To continue with the unlock process, make sure you have the original SIM card inside your iPhone. In this case, the SIM card is from Verizon, but any original SIM card will work for T-Mobile's network. The next step is to go into "Manage" and then "Install". Selecting Sam as the package will install it on your device.

With Sam installed, you need to eject your current SIM card and insert the new one that you want to unlock with. Make sure to select your country and carrier correctly in the settings menu before proceeding.

Next, go back into Cydia and enable Sam by clicking "Enable". Then, navigate to "More Information" and hit "Spoof Real Sim to Sam". Selecting the bottom IMSI SWAT option will delete it, and you can then paste the new IMSI number that you copied earlier from the original SIM card.

To complete the unlock process, go back into "Utilities" and click on "Attempt Activation". If everything goes as planned, your screen should turn black with a loading bar. Your iPhone will respring, and if successful, you will be fully unlocked and able to use any iOS 5 firmware with T-Mobile's network.

original SIM card and once your Cydia is low we're gonna go into manage sources edit ad and we're gonna add this source repo dot be ing and e are calm and you're gonna click Add source now most of you will get verification errors that's okay just restarted try a couple more times type in the repo click Add source eventually you guys will get it but once you're done you will see this little source right here inside it might be blank if it's a blank going to changes and hit refresh but we're gonna go into manage and install Sam so once this is installed you will see on your springboard it'll adjust like this and if you click on it it'll take you to this little menu so now we want to make sure we have the stock SIM card inside and I just switched mine but here it is this is my Verizon SIM card that came with my iPhone so make sure it's inside your iPhone and we're gonna go into more information and right here it'll tell us whether our iPhone is activated or deactivated and whether or not it says activated or deactivated we're gonna go into utilities and hit deactivate iPhone so go ahead and hit that and click OK now the next thing you guys want to do is go back go to main information and in this slot right here the IMSI from the sim details you want to select the text select all copy and we're going to use this in just a bit so go back to the main menu and you want to eject your sim card that's in your iPhone right now my Verizon SIM card or whichever one it may be and you want to insert the SIM card you're gonna be unlocking to and in my case this is t-mobile so I'm gonna put that in there and insert that into my iPhone now what we're gonna do next is go down and enable Sam and then we're gonna go into method make sure by country and carrier is selected and go back select your country of course United States for me and then select the carrier for the SIM card inside your iPhone right now t-mobile and now we're gonna go up to more information and hit
