**A Love Affair with Japonesque Foundation**
I have been using Japonesque foundation for a while now, and I must say that it's been a game-changer for my mature skin. The brand offers a range of foundations, but what really caught my attention was the limited shade selection - only 10 shades to choose from! This made finding the perfect match quite challenging, especially since I'm someone who likes to get tan during the summer months.
I finally settled on shade number seven, which I thought would be a good option for me. However, after using it extensively and getting darker with time, I realized that it was a bit too dark for my skin tone. But, I didn't want to give up on the foundation just yet! So, two weeks ago, I went back to Ulta and purchased shade number five, which turned out to be a perfect match for me during the winter season.
**The Perfect Formula**
I'm absolutely loving this foundation - it's not too full coverage, nor is it too sheer. It gives my skin a beautiful finish that looks flawless and natural. The formula is not too dewy, nor is it drying; it's just right. I've been raving about Japonesque foundation to anyone who will listen, but I realize now that the brand might be underrated due to its limited shade range. However, for those with mature skin like mine, this foundation is a must-try.
I've tried many foundations in my time, but none have impressed me as much as Japonesque number five. It's not too light, nor is it too dark - it's just right. The coverage is medium to full, depending on how I apply it, and the finish is beautiful. This foundation has become a staple in my makeup routine, and I couldn't imagine going without it.
**Maturing Skin and Finding Your Match**
As we age, our skin undergoes many changes - it becomes thinner, drier, and more prone to wrinkles. Finding the right foundation can be challenging when you have mature skin, but with Japonesque number five, I feel like I've finally found my holy grail. The brand's focus on creating foundations that cater to mature skin is truly commendable.
I encourage anyone with mature skin to give Japonesque foundation a try. It's perfect for those who want a natural, flawless finish without looking too made-up or heavy-handed. And don't worry if you can't find your match right away - like me, it might take some research and trial-and-error to get the shade just right.
**The Importance of Shade Selection**
I must say that I'm still puzzled by the limited shade selection in Japonesque foundation - only 10 shades to choose from! It's almost as if the brand is trying to create a niche market for those with mature skin, where finding the perfect match can be challenging. However, this limited range might also be what makes Japonesque foundation so special.
The fact that I had to research and try out different shades before finally finding my perfect match only adds to the satisfaction of using Japonesque number five. It's not just a foundation - it's an experience; a journey of self-discovery where you learn to love yourself, one shade at a time.
**A New Year, New Foundations**
As we welcome the new year, I'm excited to explore more foundations from various brands. Who knows what amazing discoveries await me? But for now, Japonesque number five remains my go-to foundation. It's perfect for mature skin, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
If you're looking for a reliable foundation that will give your skin the TLC it deserves, look no further than Japonesque. And don't worry if you can't find your match right away - keep searching, and remember, it might take some time to get the shade just right. Happy New Year, everyone!
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: en- Happy New Year, it is 2018.I have been gone for morethan long enough, okay?(chuckles)2017 ended in such a bad notethat I am actually really glad it's gone.If you haven't noticed I havebeen gone for a whole month.I have not uploaded anything.Well, my mother-in-law passed awayend of the year last year, 2017.It was devastating for our family, for my husband, for everyone. So I took time off thereand then right afterThanksgiving I got very sick.I had bronchitis and I literallywas coughing for a whole month, was on two sets ofantibiotics, I was on steroids.Long story short, Ithought I was gonna die,but I'm still here, thank god.I'm really happy about 2018.I am ready to start the year fresh.I just wanted to let youknow what was going on,why I have been gone for a month. But I still was posting on my Instagram,so if you follow me there,I was trying to be very active there. And by the way, thismonth is my three yearanniversary for my channel, which I am super excited to (sighs)I did this for three years.God almighty, I don't know. This has been such a huge project.I think this has been byfar the biggest projectI have ever nurtured. It's just been such a great journey.2017 was a great journeyas far as my channel. And it was so fun to do thisand so fun to interactwith you guys, talk to you,and just be in this community.I just love this community so much.I started my channel in 2015and now three years into itI am just really thankful for you.I know this beginning was really long, but since this is my first videoand coming back from a long break,I just had to explain myself, wanted to keep you guys inthe loop of what's going on.But now I wanna go over some of myfavorite foundations for mature skin, because let's face it,every year we're getting older.(laughs) And so every year I feel likeI am getting more, and more foundation, trying on more foundationand trying to find thebest foundation out there.I have some enlarged pores issues.I do have acne scarring formprevious acne in my twenties.I had cystic acne and I was not ableto get it under control so it madesome indentation on my skinand it created a lot of scars on the side.So now that I'm in my forties,I'm experiencing morefine lines and wrinklesand I'm not really aboutdoing too much Botox, even though I have done it in the past.I'm not really into doingtoo much stuff not just yet.I'm never gonna rulethings out, okay? (laughs)Anyway, I always look forfoundation that is smoothing, that doesn't bring out the pores. And then my scars,I mean I can't do anythingabout that, it's there. But what I can do is find foundationsand powders that are not as drying, they don't flake ormake my skin look worse, something that blurs more.Something that is moredewy rather than matte.Because I feel like my skin is gettinga little bit drier as I'm aging.Oh my gosh, this videois a downer. (laughs)No, but seriously. So those are my concerns. Some may be more fullcoverage than others.Anyways, let's get intoit 'cause I feel likeI'm just like I couldtalk for hours, okay?So something that I found recentlyand I found this Iactually wanted to try NARStowards the middle ofthe year last year, 2017.And I wanted something thatwould be great for mature skin, but I wasn't sure about NARS'cause I'm not a NARS person.I'm not the kind of girl that goes outand buys NARS anything. (chuckles)I don't have any NARSstuff in my collectionexcept for this one and I just recentlyat the end of 2017 I bought the concealer, which I love.Leave a comment below, let me know if you want to seea favorite concealer forunder eyes and mature skin. But anyway, at the end of the yearI was curious about this NARS.It's all day, illuminance, weightless foundation. And because it saidilluminance I wanted to get it,I wanted to try it,just to kind of give anice glow to the skin. The illuminance is whatsold this foundation to me.It's pretty pricey, so I dunno. If a foundation costs more than 30 bucks,I'm kinda like (groans) I don'twanna spend that much money.Or 35 bucks, whatever. But this one is like almost $50and it was a splurge for me.I really like this foundation, this is one of my favorite foundationsthat I have tried in 2017.It's great for mature skin.It gives you nice coveragewithout making your face look caky, making your fine lines andpores just come out at you. It's a really goodfoundation, I really like it.The only thing I don't like about itis that it is very high in price. It is more of a full coveragefor me and I kinda like that.I do like lighter coverage during the day.If I'm going out andabout throughout the day,I don't want a really thick foundation. But if I'm going on a specialevent or if I'm going out,I like to have a little bitmore coverage on my skinand I feel like the NARS gives me that.Next one would be Lancome foundation. This is the tint idolultra-wear foundation.I wear the shade, what shade did I wear?I wear the bisque neutral number 360.I first found out aboutthis early 2017, I think. And then I got a sample of it, I tried it.I really liked the way it matched my skin. What is this? What in the world is this stuff?I dunno. It gets dirty.I don't like dirty foundations, hold on.(top clinks)(squeals) That was not supposed to happen.I don't believe this isan illuminance foundationbecause it's ultra-wear.I think this is theonly high-end foundationthat I have that I got thatI didn't realize it wasn't illuminance. But I ended up really like wearing it.I do like wearing this not by itself,I do have to put onprimer that blurs the skinlike the Benefit poreminimizer or POREfessionalor what's the other one that I use? That's not the one that I use,but anyway, I need to wear somethingthat it will make my pores look smaller. But I do really like this foundationonly putting on a little bit.I don't try to go crazyputting on two, three pumps.I just try to get as littleas I can try to cover it.It's more full coverage,it's more of a satiny finish to me.It doesn't make your skin lookdewy or anything like that, but I really like it.I like to wear it on special occasions, not an everyday thing. But I do like it when Igo out and stuff like thatand I don't try to powder toomuch with that foundation.I feel like it just doesn't need it.For me, I feel like myskin is on the drier side,so it just kind of doesn'tlook dewy on my skin anyways. So I try to minimize powdering my faceas much as I can anyway. So I do like that for special occasions.A drugstore foundation that I really, really like is I think I've talked to youabout this in one of my favoritesor maybe two of my favorites before,(chuckles) but this combinationof L'Oreal infallible proand infallible pro glow, pro matte I mean.I really like the combinationof the infallible pro matte and pro glow, half and half I use it,it works great on my skin. This by itself is a little bit too dewy, especially in my t-zone I'm more oily,so I feel like it breaks upa little bit in my t-zone.So I don't use it by itself. And this is too drying for my skin,it makes my skin look weird, I dunno. They're perfect mixed together,it becomes like the perfectformula for my skin.So I really like these and Iuse the 104 for the pro matteand I use the 203 for the pro glow.(chuckles)So Colorscience is a new brand to me.They sent these to me.Actually there's a tintkind of a foundationand this one is more bronzingand it protects your skin.I really like these two in the summertime.I actually could wear this probably now,I don't think the color is that dark'cause it's the color medium. But this one is a little bit more tan,so I wear it in the summer.I love it, it's more like, there's a piece of hairin my face, hold on.It's kind of like a BB cream, but it has 30, SPF 20 or 30?Let me see.SPF 20 on this one and ithas SPF 30 for this one. It's great for summertimebecause it's light coverage,it's your skin, but better. It hides the imperfections like rednessand things like that, unevenness on your skin. It's just a reallybeautiful like a BB creamkind of foundation with sunscreen.I really, really like it.If you ever are intogetting like a BB cream,I think that you would reallyenjoy this by Colorscience. This one's called sun tint du soleiland this one is called bronzing perfecter. And I will list everythingbelow so you can check it out.If I don't tell you theexact name of a product,I will list it below socheck the description box.Another one that is a drugstore foundationthat I really love isbetter skin by Maybelline,I really like this stuff. It's great for everyday,it doesn't make your poresand your face look like crazy, like crazy patchy or dry.I really like it.It's for everyday use.I can't say much moreabout it, I just like it.I really do.And it's, what shade is this?I forget.Oh, 30 warm nude.I know that Maybelline justreleased a new foundation,I think it's super stay.I think it is super stay,I really wanna try that one, the new one.I will keep you posted. When I do try it I will makea video for it for sure, because I really wanna see what that does.Next one, okay, I have two moreand these are my holy grail. One is this one, IT CosmeticsCC plus, my holy grail.I love this foundation so much.It is actually a color correcting, what do they call it?Color correcting full coverage cream. It's beautiful, I lovewearing this every day.I love that it has SPF 50 plusand it protects you from UVA and UVB.I think this is my second, third oneand I just really, really like it.I like it that it has good coverage,it color corrects your skin, you don't have to worry aboutcolor correcting anything. If you have redness, ittakes care of the redness. It's lightweight, it's kind of dewy. You can set it if you want toor if you don't likesetting your foundation, you don't really have toworry about it too much.I do set it, especially in my t-zone.That's just me though inthe summertime especially. When I apply it I feel likemy skin looks really good,I don't even need to use aprimer under this foundation. But I feel like it just like blursall the imperfections like enlarged poresand it doesn't make my skin dry.And it just gives me good coverage,it takes away any kind of blotchiness, any kind of redness on my skin.It just like evens everything out. It's full coverage, soit's like a foundation, but it has SPF 50 so itprotects you from aging further.(chuckles) So it's allgood stuff in there. For wintertime I use the shade medium, for summertime I use tan.And sometimes I am inbetween summer and winter,so I combine the two.The only fault with this foundationthat there's not enough rangefor the different shades.I feel like they'vecovered the medium range, but they're missing stuff in between. So there's only like seven oreight shades that they haveand I wish that they wouldwork on bringing more sooner, because it's such a great foundationand I feel like a lot of peoplecould benefit from this foundation. So they don't have a lot of deep tones, there's only one or two darker tones. And I feel like on the fair sidethey could have a fewmore just to have enoughin between the fair and light and medium. That's just so basic. If you fall into the shades thatthey have shade range that they have, definitely try it out.My other holy grail foundationthat I found this 2017which is new to me,I don't know if it's a new foundation, but I just started using itand this is great for mature skin,I really love Japonesque foundation.I bought a shade thatit was in the summertimeso I was a little bit more tan.I bought the shade seven, they only have like 10 shades. This foundation is,I don't understand whycosmetics lines even do thatthat they have only five orseven shades or 10 shades.I got this from Ultaand the only problem Ihad was finding my shade. And I got the number sevenafter researching for two days,(chuckles) I finally settledto get a number seven.Number seven was a littlebit on the darker side, but it worked for mefor the summertime then. Now it doesn't work for me anymore,so I can't wear the number seven. So two weeks ago I wentand bought this oneand this is a shade number fiveand it matches me perfectly for winter.I just love this so much that I didn'twanna not use this for wintertime. It is such a beautiful foundation. When you put it on it's so,it's not too full coverage,it's not too shear, butit covers everything,it gives your skin a beautiful finish. It's not too dewy, it's not drying,it's just the perfect formula.I don't know how else to describe this, but it's perfection for mature skin.If you have mature skin andyou haven't tried this yet,I encourage you try it becauseit's a really good foundationand I don't know whyJaponesque is so underrated. Not a lot of people talkabout their foundationsor any other product,at least I haven't seen anything.I've just heard peopletalk about their brushesand I see people usingtheir brushes a lot,but not their foundation. And this is such a beautiful foundation.I feel like maybe the range, because it's such a small rangeand it's so hard to find your color, that that might be a reasonwhy people aren't using it.I don't know, but I reallylove this foundation.Number five is matchingperfectly like I said.It looks like it would be a lot lighter, but it oxidizes a little bit.By the time you're donewith your foundationroutine and your makeup, it matches.I feel like it's moreof a medium coverage, but it's a greatfoundation for mature skin. All these foundations are fantasticand I'm just looking around to seeif I have any more and that's it,I don't have any more foundations.I covered all of them.I hope that you enjoyed this videoand let me know what your favoriteholy grail foundation for 2017 wasor if you have mature skin, let me know what yourfavorite foundation is.And if I haven't tried it,I wanna go out and buyit and try it on my skinbecause I'm always lookingout for a good foundation. And if you have afavorite, I wanna try it.(chuckles) Okay.So thank you so much,I will have more new foundationsas the companies I'msure are gonna have morenewer foundations this year in 2018.I will definitely try them outand keep you posted ifI find anything elsethat is really amazing to mask,to reduce fine lines andpores and things like that. And I will definitely share that with you.Thank you so much.Happy New Year, happy 2018.I hope that you have a
