I Recently Made a Big Change in My Life: Embracing the Microsoft Workflow Keyboard on My iPhone 6s Plus
I recently made a pretty big change in my life, and it's one that I'm really excited about. I went from using my trusty iPhone 6 as my daily driver to upgrading to the larger iPhone 6s plus. However, one thing I quickly noticed after making this switch was that typing just wasn't as easy as it used to be. While third-party keyboards have always been available on iOS, I've never been particularly impressed with them. That's why I was thrilled to discover a new keyboard option called Workflow, which has been making me fall in love with the idea of having a better typing experience.
Workflow is a keyboard that originated from Microsoft products, but it recently found its way to iOS. What I like about this keyboard is that it's fully customizable and can be used with just one hand, thanks to its sleek design. This was particularly appealing to me because using my iPhone 6s plus can strain my fingers when having to stretch across the screen. While some might say it's a first-world problem, I've definitely been there too, and it's not fun.
Setting up Workflow is surprisingly easy. All you need to do is download the app, open it, and follow the prompts to get started. The process is straightforward, leaving you with just one step: granting access to your keyboard settings. From there, you can take full advantage of its features, including sounds and contact recognition. One thing I was excited about when I first learned about Workflow was that it aims to also make me a faster typist. To achieve this, you need to follow a process, but once you do, you're rewarded with built-in themes to choose from.
One of the things I love most about Workflow is its approach to input methods. Right off the bat, the normal keyboard is shown, but by swiping from the corner, you can enter what's called arc mode for one-hand use. There are two input methods to choose from: tapping or swiping, and along the way, there are smart suggestions to help you along the way. I was a bit skeptical about whether this would actually work, but after using it for a while, I'm convinced that it does.
One of the things that really stood out to me when I first started using Workflow was how comfortable it feels. Normally, something like this can feel like a gimmick, but I've already noticed how much better arc mode feels compared to my previous keyboard. Being able to customize my own keyboards with my own photos is also pretty dope – it's like having a personalized typing experience. Overall, I'm really impressed with Workflow, and I think it's definitely worth checking out.
What I love most about Workflow is that it takes the best parts of different keyboards and adds its own unique bonuses along the way. You get swipe, tap, art, and more – all on a clean layout that makes typing a breeze. And the best part? It's free! I'd say that's legit, and I'm definitely going to be using this keyboard for a while now.
Overall, my experience with Workflow has been incredibly positive. From its ease of setup to its customizable design and impressive features, it's clear why Microsoft has created such a great keyboard option for iOS users. Whether you're looking to upgrade your typing experience or simply want to try something new, I highly recommend giving Workflow a shot – I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how much better it makes typing feel.
