This motherboard proves that Intel's lack of backward compatibility is STUPID!

I'd be happy to help you organize the content of the file into a well-structured article for a web page without removing any words from the original text.

To get started, I'll need to know the actual content of the file. Please paste the entire contents of the file here or provide a brief summary of what's in it. That way, I can assist you in organizing the text into a clear and coherent article.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enthis motherboard is an old asus motherboard it's a z77 saber-tooth from back in the day now let's just ignore the fact that it's kind of zip tied to a box and there's an AMD Wraith cooler on it those are different videos very interesting go watch them after this but this video is interesting too so finish it first now back when this motherboard was launched it felt like there was a line as tech tips video of every single motherboard on the market where he kind of like unboxes it counts all the fan headers and then doesn't tell us anything more about the motherboard then it says on the box so I'm going to do that today except without a box now let's start by counting the PWM headers now I can't actually remember if he actually counted that the CPU optional ones as well because this motherboard has a chassis fan okay that's a normal one but there's a CPU optional and a CPU fan header and then here's the first PWM fan header and then there's a second one over here next to a memo okay button so that's for you to actually check if the memory is working hint on this motherboard all of them aren't working let's see oh there's another one here but it's not a PWM it's only a three pin fan header and there's another one up here so we've got two three pin fan headers and one two PWM ones at this point okay and then down here we've got another two PWM so yeah another two here and yeah I kind of think that's it so let's let's count that again I lost count I'm not very good at arithmetic so we've got one two three four and then tune on PWM ones okay now let's have a look at the vrm over here so this is a really impressive vrm especially considering that this motherboard supports a max of a 3770k which is like a fork or a thread CPU which if you're really pushing it will overclock to like four point eight gigahertz I think don't really quote me on that but then you have what is an eight oh not an eight a twelve phase CPU power delivery and it's got these huge heat sinks on it it's got a really serious set of V RMS on and that's honestly one of the things that makes me quite angry about the fact that Intel keeps changing out its sockets because this motherboard I kind of think this kind of vrm should be able to support a ninety nine hundred K because while some Zed 390 motherboards don't have as powerful a power delivery as this motherboard does but then there's the issue of reliability because there's motherboards about six years old it's a lot of it doesn't work and we'll get into everything that doesn't work in a bit now let's have a look at the rear i/o so over here we've got four USB 3 ports we've got four USB 2 as well as tonight's election and then you have a kind of like reset your BIOS button for if you've screwed up an overclock over here you've got two of these kind of half USB half SATA ports which are really weird I think you can use them to plug SSDs in but I'm not really sure and then we've got a Gigabit Ethernet cable over here a Gigabit Ethernet port not a cable and then we just have the outputs for the audio ok so let's have a look and what kind of stuff you can actually plug into this motherboard so over here you've got to 16 times PCI Express slots but this second one over here is just wired 4 by 8 so it means that if you're running SLI which the person who owned this motherboard was you're gonna have only 8 by 8 if you have two graphics cards in and then it's also it there's actually another PCI Express slot down here which is also wired for 8 it's quite dusty sorry I can't remember if this supports three where so I'll say something on the screen somewhere which only you know but so it's got these handy little covers in which keeps dust out of the actual I always put them on the wrong way around that keeps dust out and then you've got three PCI Express by one slots so I'm not actually gonna put these comes back okay and then when you look at the actual SATA interface you've got a front USB 3 header which I think was quite new at this point so you've got 2 SATA 6 gigabits 4 SATA 3 gigabit and then another 2 SATA 6 gigabits which considering the fact that it's a different color - these ones kind of indicates that it's using an external an external IO controller for that one so use these first but I mean who's still using this motherboard and then when it comes to actual kind of USB to front headers you've got one two three three of them and then like front front audio over here you know let's talk about everything that's broken in this motherboard I think it was bought in 2013 and while a lots gone wrong in that time even though the sabre-tooth motherboards were marketed as being extremely resilient over time now I think only one of these USB ports actually works one of these ones work and one of these ones work so out of the eight USB slots the you have bye-bye standard only three of them still work so that's less than half that's not great and then the weirdest thing happens with the RAM on this thing because it's got two channels and I've got actually four sticks of RAM to use in this motherboard but when I first set it up and first started using it this channel was the one that worked which is the channel that you should use if you're using only one channel so these two sorts and all four didn't work together so these the this channel was broken and this one worked and then randomly one day in the middle of a video game it just stopped working and it was because of the RAM so this channel stopped working and now this channel works so it's kind of it's it's temperamental I guess it decides which one it wants for what week and we'll see how we'll see if that changes now as far as the feature set goes this motherboard has aged really well it doesn't have stuff like an end or two slot for nvm II but you can still have SSDs in it it's got really good vrm it's just laid out really well I think this is a very well designed motherboard and it shows you that Asus has been making really great motherboards for a long time it would be actually it would be quite interesting to compare this Zed 77 board to Zed 77 boards from different manufacturers like a gigabyte MSI and so on just to see how they aged in comparison to two aces Hardware anyway I think that's all I have to say about the video I don't about the motherboard sorry I don't actually have the box so we can't do the box around down that Linus tech lives that with all of them goodies that you get with the motherboard so it's just the actual motherboard itself and because those videos were posted so long ago I can't actually remember all of the stuff that you'd say in it but that's all I have to say about the motherboard go check out the other videos about why it's a zip-tie to a box and why there's a Wraith cooler on it they'll be playlists and stuff there'll be videos around you'll find it on the channel so like this video if you liked it and subscribe to the channel for more videos like this one and until the next one bye byethis motherboard is an old asus motherboard it's a z77 saber-tooth from back in the day now
