life is 12 hours on a single charge and it features fast charge all right so all of that for 180 bucks let's unboxing and see what it is first things first shout out to White Shoes back in the building calm down I had to give shoes to reach around you know what it is okay Skullcandy Barrel XT 180 bucks now one quick side note there's some serious competition for the best Bluetooth Boombox under 200 bucks because you got the tri-bit stormbox blast now that's arguably the best Bluetooth speaker you could get for under 200 that one is on Amazon right now for 175 bucks y'all see me put it side by side with a JBL Boombox 3 it lost but it's hold its own all right it held its own against the JBL Boombox 3 so the Skullcandy Barrel got some big competition let's go ahead and unbox it all right so here's what you get in the Box you got your usual books and plug them and follow them you got some Skull Candy troll stickers get and save those and you get the plug so it's gonna be this kind of end and of course the barrel boombox now this is definitely a big heavy boom box on the front you got a little Skullcandy logo it does have little hooks right here so you can add a strap unfortunately it doesn't come with the strap Gotta Buy that separately here's all your controls so on the top you got your four LEDs that's your battery level indicators you got your power on and off you got playing pause volume up and down Skip and reverse tracks there's your Bluetooth pairing button and your LED light button now you can also activate bass boost by holding down the play button for two seconds and if you also want to sync up other speakers you press play and pause together and you'll uh put it into sync mode let's switch to the back you got a little flap right here since it is water resistant you got a 3.5 auxiliary input for non-bluetooth devices you got a usba out so this way you can charge up your phone your tablet your camera whatever you got you got USB type-c out and there's your plug input so you got USB a and USB type-c for charge out that's pretty dope on the bottom you got a big rubber stopper that's going to keep it in place and on the sides you can see those radiators they're going to be rumbling same thing on this side and on the front of course you got a big LED light strip okay so this is the barrel XT let's get impaired up all right so one quick iPhone appeared to the barrel let's start off with the Android now let's switch to the iPhone just like that instant switch so multi-point connection Works flawlessly now you got a built-in power bank that has USB a and USB type-c that means you can charge two devices at the same time so let's grab two phones we got USB type c charging right up let's grab another phone charging right up how dope is that you could charge two phones two tablets two cameras whatever you got right from the speaker now you got four LED lights that's gonna let you know your battery status but you can also check it like this whole volume up and down battery 20 and you get the voice prompt now as you can see I'm on 20 battery if I wanted to save some battery I can turn the LED lights off just press and hold the LED light button and there it is now to turn it back on press and hold it again there it is and if you want to cycle between all of the different light shows press the button one time just that simple all right so now let's try multi-link we can pair up to 99 multi-link compatible Skullcandy speakers together here's what you got to do so we're going to start with the barrel we're going to press 350 for do y'all hear the difference both of these are max volume the UE basically has no base the Skull Candy is destroying it now I'm gonna let it play for another 10 seconds here's the UE listen closely thank you here's the Skull Candy the UE sounds Hollow compared to this and this has twice as much bass so let me work on my arm real quick I'm about to roof this let's try another test how many times okay here's the Skull Candy oh I got a question for you yeah how many times you came by myself okay now this YouTube mic is not gonna do it the complete justice but I'm sitting right in bass to me sounds a little bit better on the Skull Candy let's do that one more time here's the try bit how's the sound white shoes baby okay here's the Skullcandy how's the sound white shoes how's that sound baby okay definitely the the try bit has more clarity okay but the bass has more of that role and that Rumble to it in my opinion with the Skull Candy but either way these are two crazy dope Bluetooth speakers for under 200 bucks you can't go wrong with either one of these I'd probably go with the Skull Candy because of the Dual USBS on the back okay and be connecting up to 99 speakers together that's a dope feature the tri-bit the RGB lights do look a little bit better on the inside but these ones right here look a little cheesy to me like this is one thing I hated about the tri bit I hate these lights on the side like this this one little subtle light on the front looks way more classy in my opinion anyway let's kind of wrap this video up all right so overall on a
