As we get ready to hit the road with our latest project car, it's essential to ensure that everything is running smoothly and efficiently. With so many projects going on at once, it can be challenging to keep track of everything, but thankfully, this daily driver is almost complete.
We've already made significant progress on the engine side of things, with a new turbo and crankshaft sent out for installation. The crankshaft has been rebuilt, and we're confident that everything will be running like clockwork soon. The logo has also been rebuilt, and we'll make sure to keep you guys updated on its status.
We've also been working on the electrical side of the car, installing a new wideband sensor at O'Reilly's. This is a great find, as it turns out that our old sensor was still under warranty, so we were able to get a new one for free. The sensor will be used to monitor fuel composition and ensure that everything is running within optimal parameters.
Once we have the new sensor installed, we'll calibrate it and make sure it's reading accurately. We'll also need to hook up the boost controller and wastegate, which will allow us to control the amount of boost we're getting from the turbocharger. The boost controller will be connected to the computer, so we can adjust the boost by gear and switch between street and track modes.
We've taken the car out for a spin and tested it around the block, making sure that everything is running smoothly. We did manage to make a bit more boost than usual, but it started to get lean on us, so we decided to tone it down and not risk any potential engine damage. For now, we'll just keep it at its current setting and focus on getting the car ready for our next move.
Speaking of which, we're planning to take the car back to PFI and have Brent put it back on the dyno. This will give us an opportunity to re-tune the engine and see what kind of power we can extract from it. We'll also get a better understanding of how the new sensor is performing and make any necessary adjustments.
The plan is to lay down some serious power on the dyno and see if we can squeeze out another 600 horsepower or more. We'll work with Brent to find the sweet spot and optimize the engine's performance. It's going to be an exciting development, and we can't wait to share the results with you guys.
For now, the car is ready to go, and we're just waiting on our next move. We've got some minor detailing to do, but mechanically, everything is good to go. The hatch has been transformed into a daily driver, and it's going to be a blast to have around town. Stay tuned for more updates from PFI, and get ready for the odyssey build – it's coming soon!
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enall right we just picked up this minivan he be it's fly by throwing up gas I'm gonna move it we're going to wait for cows and look away so we can spray them with the windshield wiper yes great while I was getting my hide to go to the chiropractor came like back up there's not a pump gas apparently walk back this way oh yeah go go go yeah you can play like today when you write oil move the bird will go through boil add up how am i try to swear you earlier take the whiteboard thank you and a whiteboard soap you always did try to spray it even here I'm going to check the oil on it real quick to be sure I can angle it now go whirring sister though the other hit q4 yeah now why isn't it more pressure now the wind definitely got it there I had everybody it's like Zoolander the gasoline I'm so excited it makes them sparks in people oh of the gas station there it is finally there's water for the shoulder I'd really got you I'm good you can't get in so guys we ended up getting another Odyssey so as you know we got this one right here for five hundred bucks a few months ago and the plan was to turbo this one and make it badass but it's currently my daily so because why go broke I've been driving this around for the spy only form of transportation we found this one on Craigslist last night 500 bucks as well we just picked it up and the only problem this one has is the second gear is completely gone so it still drives fine you just have to go from first in the drive three in that up because second-years just like another neutral but other than that yeah it drives fine and we plan on putting a six-speed manual transmission or maybe a five-speed or something but we plan on putting a manual transmission into it anyway later on so that won't be that big of a deal and we're actually going to be turning this white one instead of a lot of review freaking people's but yeah we're going to talk about this one instead because it's not as the time Haskett of shape is this gray one over here and I'd like to keep this one intact it's a really good daily we really like this van we use it every day and since this one is in house clean we'll be able to kind of strip it out do a whole bunch of to it and not really give a and I can walk around it real quick so the bumper is in the back I guess to do hit a car like in some snowstorm in it like bent this in and then he just like spray-painted all of it once he got a new one but the bumpers in the back and it just been suspended right here and other than that it's pretty clean and how does this crash in the door right here but not a big deal cause we dug Lee hubcaps of yours oh yeah he'll be even more sleeper has brand new tires on it the guy said he just spent five hundred dollars on tires you can see they're brand new and this house has the same engine as the other one the 3.5 vtec and this one only has 150 something thousand miles when our other one has 250,000 so for 500 bucks this was a really good deal and it also doesn't have like power doors like that other one does this one doesn't have as many accessories as ours does but I mean it's still a great van and now that we have this one and I still have the gray one to daily we'll be able to turbo this one like right away I already stopped by PFI and we're getting the flanges made so we can start making the like the down pipe and everything to the turbo and you don't laugh started on so it's going to be the new build though it's going to be this man instead instead of our gray one but it should be pretty sick absolutely those having seen the interior is super nice it's clean yeah I can't believe we found both of these bands for 500 bucks honestly so when we saw this one last night we just jumped on it right away so we got both of these bands for a total of a thousand so yeah count the three side B Tech and we're probably gonna be putting the turbo somewhere right in there probably going to relocate the battery get all this stuff out of the way but we'll figure it out once we get that far but just so you guys know we have a car we have a different Odyssey to boost now help take some glasses dude it'll probably Charlie no they're not I'll just use it for a little kid they definitely have some fucked-up aw damn I didn't do anything else can make your face uglier but those definitely made you uglier we summarized ugly with you I'm pretty happy we got this honestly I still drink your cake I'm gonna smoke you in my new car oh yeah they don't know about hating you can car it will tell them later once it actually gets here it's a secret Hayden's also getting another car to boost with agreed we have so many projects going on everyone's going to be like yo guys you need Skynyrd something look get there though so get off you talking about I haven't started nothing yet right I have a daily now this thing's over here in ruins yeah I actually just got the crank sent out as well so hopefully that all checks out my logo will be rebuilt saved but yes this one I keep you guys updated got a new van so turbo Aussies will be our starter hopefully pretty soon we're going to be touching up a couple more things on the hatch we went to a Reilly's and I got some more boost line so we need to Rijo cup my boost controller to the wastegate and a couple other things and I also went ahead and got another wideband sensor you can actually get these at O'Reilly's I said in a previous video I was going to get like switch over to AEM but it turns out my old sensor was still under warranty so you have a year warranty on these and I went back and they looked me up and I ended up getting a new sensor for free from O'Reilly so that's pretty cool so we'll get that in there get that recalibrated and once we get everything hooked up we'll probably take it for a spin make sure that our fuels are reading good and make sure the boost controllers work and maybe get on it a little bit but we'll see how just want to make sure everything's running good but you just zip tie this right here yeah and then these go to the gate the dancer now yeah we need to find a good plot amount of boost controller put it right tight back yeah honestly I'll work for now oh I actually where's an event from automatic fence right there yeah so they hooked us up we just need a hook this one goes to the intake and then these two go to the top and bottom of the waste gate and it's already plugged into the computer so that just controls the boost so got the boost by gear and all that stuff to keep it from spinning for those of you that don't know about all that stuff and those of you here I can I can turn the car down like if I want to for the street or turn it up for the track and whole bunch of like that going between here yeah and did get this like I already did all right give me yeah right that's just so I can cut it going like that yes this one let's give it nice and tight this is kind of slippery you might go flying yeah I can't go too far anyway because it can only go down now if I hung it this time go ahead okay let's take a is it yeah close that I just leave it it will take a while so we're just calibrating the sensor right now leaving it on open air and it takes like 30 to 30 seconds to a minute to let it calibrate then once that's all calibrated we'll get it threaded in there and then go driving around air fuels working to spawn so all I needed was that thunder laughs kid my overboost a lot hyah so we just took my hatch around the block we did make a little more boost than we did last time but it started to get lean on us so I let out of it and I don't want to try to like make any more boost I just don't even want to try hurting the motor anything so what we're going to do is I'm just going to make sure everything is ready to go and maybe even sometime this week or sometime next week as long as my car is ready to go I'm going to bring it over to PFI and have Brent put it back on the dyno and this kind of throw a retuned on it and hopefully that should straighten everything out probably lay down some power on the dyno maybe we'll see another six hundred plus number if I do take it to the dyno tell Brent to turn it up and you won't ever know it's like oh I don't know why I made that much power yeah we'll see so probably gonna bring it back to the dyno so you guys will get to see that have the hats lay down some power hopefully everything is all good but yeah it's pretty much it on the hatch I mean yeah it's only to clean up some but mechanically it's pretty much good to go just gotta like I said Sonia weld up some but you guys have heard me say that many times but it's running and driving and stay tuned for the odyssey build because this will be coming soon so now that I have this one as a daily we just have this one to do whatever we want with it's just going to stay here I don't need to worry about taking it anywhere so it will be coming hopefully very soon so stay tuned for that\n"
