"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi I'm Kendra welcome back to my channel and so today is day to Allah Winchester household cold epidemic and this is going to be a wonderful book haul today and welcome to Kendra on cold medicine so we shall have a grand time together won't we yes I think so at least be entertained for you alright so first up is home if you don't know the words by bianca Maris mering's I'm not sure this is from Putnam and this is about a little white girl growing up in Johannesburg and a stirring in part tied and so the author as well is Caucasian South African and she grew up their channels in Toronto so i think we are interesting to see her perspective on it i really need to read more about impart I saw that Sam read Trevor Noah's memoir so that's first on my list but this isn't come out til July so we've got time next from Putnam is the confusion of languages by so bein Fallon I'm not sure again pronunciation so hard for me this is about two women who go to the Middle East during the Arab Spring and stuff happens so yeah it's dying of it and also cover with a bit cover so beautiful my goodness forgot me cuttin is on a roll this is the devil fief by MJ Carter now I want to show this to you because discover one is is really pretty and to this is actually the third in a series and the first two are called hold on the stranger vine and the infidel fame is this book worth reading I mean because I have to start with the first one obviously because there's strange and quirky but should I read the first one is a series worth reading has anyone read this book so I would like more opinions beside those and Gregory's because Kadri's can be struggles sometimes so yeah just let me know this is apparently about like London's first Liberty shift in the mid-1800s so I think this would be really interesting I really love 1800s mystery crime kinda now also next if the poor volvi and this is by Elizabeth mackynzie really excited about this book autumn had got the chance to go to acapella books in Atlanta to hear a little to speak and she learned that one of the characters in this book is based on a character and mrs. Dalloway that has PTSD and I can't remember what his name is but anyway our really interested in reading this book i think it was shortlisted for the baileys but i just call this the squirrel cover book and autumn and i have been saying that about a year now so i'm very glad that we both probably have copies of it this is the butcher's hook by Janet Ellis and system Pegasus oh by the way the problem is from penguin press because I always forget to say that anyway back to the butcher took the butcher's hook is about murder in the 1700s and I have to read you this blur because it is perfect the butcher search doesn't read like a first novel it's a high finished performance its heroine is an 18th century teenage girl who starts in early although her fixed Drive turns out to be anything but junior with a blurb like that why isn't the world reading it I have no idea next up is Jamie Aten Berg's newest novel all grown up this comes out March seventh and you'll want to check this out definitely Jamie and bird wrote Saint Mazie and the little signs this book is about a woman who doesn't have kids and our husband of spin to know her brother has a daughter and she comes to terms looks like not having kids she want kids that kind of thing I've seen a lot of early buzz to this book I am very very excited to read this book and I don't have a copy as well so who knows you may see this on the reading women next up is a book from amulet it's by Nathan Hale he does amazing illustrations and this is like and the world kind of thing were these blobby creatures like cake over electricity and sometimes limbs or something i don't know i think its middle reader and i'm really interested to see if I like this book if I do then I'll probably end up sending it to my nephew whom trying to introduce to graphic novel he's about seven so yeah I saw us it was like this is project so we'll see it might not be age-appropriate but I can always hold it and wait and then he'll show up and like your stocking or something you know next up is a book I've already read which is harmless like you by Rowand his sayo Buchanan and this is from Norton other his book is wonderful we need to read it it's gorgeous yeah I room we know what else is good to say about this book but yeah we talked about I talking about my wrap-up you can go check out a more lengthy oh no discussion there but this book is about yuki who ends up leaving her fun and her husband and we flash back to her you know teen years and forward moving forward and we also see j her son please figure out why she left Jay and the importance of art and parenting and just so many cool different themes yes this is probably my favorite books februari so please don't read it last is behind her eyes by Sarah pinburrough I've also read this book I got this found time today Sam got me good moms around thursday so this is thriller and it is about a woman who has like a fling with a guy but he leaves before they do anything because he's like I'm married and next day she discovers that it's her boss and so yeah it's really great Anatomy apparently I'm a watch Grey's Anatomy but I'm a huge fan of shondaland so of course by sometimes I need to watch it at some point but there's like 10 11 seasons at least anyway so I don't this book is really fun I'll talk about more on the wrap ups of course I sand nitpicky things about it because I mean I do but otherwise I really yeah i think if you like dealers is probably worth reading it just depends so again i'll leave you in suspense so that is a behind her eyes from flat iron
