#StarWars Travel & Tech Accessories!

**Collecting Tech and Travel: A Unique Niche**

As I sat down to record today's episode, I couldn't help but think about my collection of tech and travel items. You see, I've always been fascinated by gadgets and gizmos that make life easier and more enjoyable. But what sets my collection apart is the fact that they're not just ordinary tech devices or travel accessories. Oh no, these items have a special something that makes them truly unique.

**The Power of Branding**

It's all about branding. You see, when a company decides to put its logo or character on a product, it creates a sense of exclusivity and collectibility around that item. It's not just about the tech itself, but about the experience and nostalgia that comes with owning something from your favorite brand or franchise. Take my Darth Vader Bluetooth speaker, for example. I didn't buy it because I loved technology (although, let's be real, who doesn't?), but because it was branded with the character that has become synonymous with coolness – Darth Vader.

**The Value of Collectibles**

Now, you might be wondering why anyone would want to collect tech and travel items. After all, they're just going to lose their value or become outdated quickly, right? Well, not necessarily. While it's true that some tech devices can depreciate rapidly, there are certain items that retain their value over time – like rare sneakers or vintage toys. And when it comes to branded collectibles, the magic happens because of nostalgia and sentimentality.

**Investing in Memories**

For me, collecting these items isn't just about accumulating stuff; it's about investing in memories. I remember the first time I saw Darth Vader on a product – I was like 10 years old, and it was love at first sight. Fast forward to today, and that same character is now on my speaker system. It's a connection to the past, to my childhood self, and to the excitement of discovery.

**The Joy of the Hunt**

But collecting isn't just about having stuff; it's also about the thrill of the hunt. When I'm out browsing online marketplaces or visiting stores, I love searching for rare or hard-to-find items that will complete my collection. It's like solving a puzzle, only instead of pieces, it's all about finding that elusive item.

**The Community**

And then there's the community aspect. As collectors, we're not just individuals hoarding stuff; we're part of a shared experience. We trade tips, share knowledge, and commiserate with each other over our lost loves (or failed hunting trips). It's a sense of belonging that comes from being part of something bigger than ourselves.

**The Patrons**

Of course, none of this would be possible without my amazing community of patrons on Chris Pirillo.com. Your support means the world to me, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share my passion with all of you. Whether you're a fellow collector or just someone who enjoys reading about tech and travel, I hope you'll stick around for more episodes.

**The Future**

So what's next? Well, I've got big plans in the works – new podcasts, live streams, and maybe even some merchandise (shh, don't tell anyone). But one thing's for sure: I'll be keeping my collection growing, and sharing it with all of you. Until next time, stay curious, keep exploring, and remember: the power is in the branding.

**A Fan's Dilemma**

I received a message from a fan asking about my thoughts on collecting smartphones. While I appreciate their enthusiasm, I have to advise that collecting iPhones or Samsungs might not be the best idea. You see, these devices are notorious for being outdated quickly – like yesterday. And when they're no longer supported by the manufacturer, they become...well, let's just say they're no longer useful.

**The Value of Rarity**

But what about rare or limited-edition smartphones? Ah, now that's a different story altogether. These devices might be harder to find, but their value lies not in their functionality (which will soon dwindle), but in their collectibility and the thrill of the hunt. For these items, it's all about finding them before they're gone.

**The Tech Insider**

As an insider in the world of tech, I've seen many trends come and go – gadgets that promised to revolutionize our lives, devices that never quite made the cut, and innovations that were ahead of their time. And through it all, one thing has remained constant: the allure of the unknown.

**Tech News**

Speaking of which, let's dive into today's tech news. With new smartphones hitting the market every day, it's easy to get lost in the sea of options. But what about the latest advancements in AI? Are we ready for a world where machines can think and act like humans?

**The Future of Tech**

As I look ahead to the future of technology, one thing is clear: we're on the cusp of something incredible. From virtual reality to augmented reality, it's an exciting time to be alive – especially if you're a tech enthusiast. So stay tuned for more updates, and remember: the power is in the branding.

**The Collector's Life**

And that brings us full circle back to my collection. As I sit here surrounded by my beloved tech and travel items, I'm reminded of why I started this journey in the first place – to share my passion with others, to connect with like-minded individuals, and to explore the endless possibilities of innovation.

**The Final Word**

So there you have it, folks – a peek into my unique collection of tech and travel items. It's not just about accumulating stuff; it's about investing in memories, building community, and embracing the thrill of discovery. Whether you're a fellow collector or just someone who enjoys reading about the latest gadgets and gizmos, I hope you've enjoyed this journey with me. Until next time, stay curious, keep exploring, and remember: the power is in the branding.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello world i'm chris pirillo and i'm back with the daily Perillo pics back as though i was going to go away anytime soon i do this every week day is a part of TL DR a live broadcast I just wrapped up rather long discussion about my father's use is upgrade of his iphone from the iphone for the iphone 6s plus so that was kind of like a review of sorts that we just did shot it live you coulda tune in live if you were a patron head over to chris pirillo com to become a patron last week i did a video or last week or the week before i don't know i forget i do a lot of videos what can I say uh how I don't believe that tech is collectible I still stand by that I know a lot of people were about it but I don't care because I'm still not going to collect tech I don't think that tech outright is collectible especially when it's a commonplace you know the less rare something is less valuable it usually tends to be and plus tech is a series of tools yeah you can put it in things and that's a different story but more than anything tech was designed to be upgraded it was not designed to be collectible tech was not designed to be collectible period end of story if you want to collect tech knock yourself out it's your money if you want to spend it that way I'm not here to judge you so that said I do have tech that has been collected and is collectible but not because of Technology because of something that makes it collectible and I'm going to show you some tech collectibles that I have and I'm also going to talk about travel if only because I have this this is a collectible travel item now you just buy a pouch a bag unless you collect bags and if you're my wife you do uh you know it's probably not something that you'd consider to be collectible unless it's a limited edition unless you can't necessarily get it anywhere and everywhere and when they slap star wars on something it becomes collectible okay it's a a bag on its own not interesting this is what makes it interesting it was a gift from HP but the fact that it was in conjunction with the Star Wars brand it's a nice pouch that I I will travel around with it may become a new diaper bag for daddy and see as a strap inside second like that and it's collectible why not because it's a bag but because they put star wars on it that's what makes it collectible I know it's crazy that way luggage tags generally speaking not necessarily collectible I'm sure there's someone out there collects luggage tags uh but what makes this luggage tag collectible it says star wars and as Darth Vader on this was a gift from Liana and Justin I married them a while back I've lost count yeah well to each other yes yeah I'm not very Justin oh I could I live in the state of Washington uh the UH this is it this is a gift from them kind of nice kind of it very unique has star wars on it it's a luggage tag now if your luggage tag is boring upgraded if only because you don't want your luggage to be picked up by somebody else a luggage tag is a great way to distinguish your luggage from somebody else's and if you want you can even put your collectible luggage tag on your collectible luggage if you want now as far as tech goes it kind of goes hand in hand with travel because sometimes you need to travel with tech and I do you might have been wondering why I've got the rotating plate spinning right there maybe you weren't wondering well you're wondering out this is something that you can collect and travel with it is a Bluetooth speaker a wireless Bluetooth speaker I'm sorry no it's not it's a cane cooler I thought it was the Bluetooth speaker hey I crap the wrong thing uh it is still something you can travel with keeping your keen cool this is the thing I meant to grab boy now I'm kind of embarrassed I I collect I collect anything that says star wars on it specifically made her stuff this is a nice little bonus I thought this was the Bluetooth speaker this is what I was thinking it was the Bluetooth speaker from I home very collectible very tech but you don't you did something does anybody out there collect Bluetooth speakers I think you're silly honestly because I don't think it's going to accrue and value I don't this likely will why because Star Wars and I'm not going to use it's going to stay in the box that's what makes it collectible now if you're buying tech and keeping it in the box what's the point unless it's collectible so you can travel with this you can also trap you could you could be sipping club soda or so to water out of your can cooler and keeping it cool which I'm not do because it's going to remain in the container or you could be listening to your favorite music or audio files or ebooks audiobooks or whatever this is the one of the Bluetooth speakers that is Darth Vader II ah then just in case you're traveling you need tech you're traveling with files and you need to you know have something that's a little more interesting than the typical flash drive you can get a Darth Vader flash drive this is brand-new a mighty minis flash drive collectible is going to remain in the box not being used not because I don't need a USB Drive honestly they're like a dime a dozen just flash drives as some people i'm sure collect them I'm sure they do I don't that's because i don't i don't think collecting a series of USB drives is going to go anywhere this will is an it could go somewhere because you can travel with it but it's tech and it's got that star wars darth vader it when they release these things i'm a sucker i am an absolute sucker not because of the tack the tech is just a nice little bonus if i needed to in a pitch if i didn't have to use the 50 gazillion glass drives that i have on hand i could pull this out and use it this is currently available it's a double oh one there are others in the series i saw a boba fett i saw a stormtrooper but this is one of the reasons I try to keep my Star Wars collectibles for me to Darth Vader but of course sometimes I have to get a full series of something now when it comes to tech I usually don't like spending top dollar because quite honestly tech loses value very quickly it does generally speaking at us I didn't pay top dollar for this and when I first saw this this was a new Darth Vader bluetooth speaker also from my home but obviously you can see it's styled completely different I I wanted it because it was Darth Vader in a Bluetooth speaker yeah that was a bonus but it's not because it was detect it was just Darth Vader and tech was a nice thing as you see up here I've got a sticker it was Clarence half off again tech usually loses value the collectible when it's designed with you know like a product a brand i should say in mind with the product something that you know is a character or is a part of a fandom tech isn't necessarily a fandom per se tech is a enabler not necessarily a destination but when they you know put our wars on something or a part of any other kind of a fandom it usually is going to retain value over time as a collectible but if they can't get rid of them because let's face it bluetooth speakers pretty darn commonplace just like flash drives pretty darn commonplace so you can save a lot of money on tech if you just wait a little while but just be sure to grab it before if they no longer make it because you know the average Bluetooth speaker probably not going to be worth that much but a bluetooth speaker that's branded with the character or some other kind of fandom is probably going to increase in value so I believe that this is actually a good investment and bless its star wars and Darth Vader so beyond just being a good investment it would likely yeah it's just nice to have I don't collect for investments necessarily but you know it's nice to know that I could if I wanted to invest in invest in my Star Wars collectibles because Jedi inevitably will inherit them because I don't think Diana wants them you see if I can find a proper USB cable and the reason why because the fan that's spinning around is a USB fan I've got a box full of USB cables but I need the right connector and I don't think i have one offhand this is a fan it's powered by USB it was in the vlog this was a gift it's got Darth Vader on the top you could buy a fan if you want i am sure there's someone out there who collects fans the fans are generally big maybe you collect handheld fans i like i said everyone's got a thing if it fans are your thing definitely not my thing uh it because they're commonplace you get a fanny that you can't always get a Darth Vader fan this is a Darth Vader USB fan it is very loud too so I don't plan on running it all that often not to mention sometimes in relation to technology or any time something's battery-operated or tech in general it's outdated very very quickly or has a potential or propensity to break down some people were saying oh you should you know why don't you collect smartphones well because most of them are worth nothing in one or two years or even if you keep them in the box they may be worth something temporarily but the battery is going to explode it's like collecting I did I learned this years ago when I i I'd like to unique soda cans and I learned years ago that's a really bad idea but inevitably all of them just exploded that was bad because I kept them intact i kept them you know whole with the liquid inside and that was really sad when my pop cans exploded I I was really really sad I collect fans you if you are a fan thank you this is a series of tech and travel collectibles not because of tech or travel but because they are branded and that's what makes them they're designed to be collectible tech just happens to be a nice bonus I am gonna move on to answer some tech questions with my community of patrons as well as talking about today's tech news if you want to hear all TL they are you know I'm talking tech every weekday don't lie don't say I'm not because I am just because you're not a patron doesn't mean I'm not talking about it just because you can't support me in that way doesn't mean that I'm not going to do that for my
