BOOK COURTSHIP TAG

A Book Lover's Obsession: A Collection of Favourite Reading Experiences

As I sit here reflecting on my reading experiences, I am reminded of the various books that have captured my attention and sparked my passion for literature. From the moment I picked up "Throne of Glass" by Sarah J Maas, I was hooked. The series had a way of drawing me in, making me want to devour every word, every page. Even before I finished the book, I found myself buying the next installment, unable to resist the allure of the story. My obsession with the series lasted for two weeks, and it wasn't until then that I began to slow down. Despite finishing the entire series, I couldn't wait to dive into "Queen of Shadows," the next book in the series.

Another book that comes to mind is "Clockwork Princess" by Cassandra Clare. This series has a way of staying with me long after I finish reading it, and this particular book was no exception. The emotional depth of the story kept me up all night, even after I finished reading it at 3:30 am. I couldn't shake off the tears that streamed down my face as I read about the characters' struggles and triumphs. The experience was so intense that I found myself crying for two hours straight, feeling drained but somehow energized by the end of it.

One book that continues to haunt me is "Stolen" by Lucy Christopher. This thought-provoking novel left a lasting impression on me, making me question the nature of love and loyalty. The story follows Gemma, a young woman who finds herself in a precarious situation with her kidnapper, a man who is smitten with her. As I read through the pages, I found myself lost in thought, pondering the complexities of human emotions and relationships. Even now, months after finishing the book, I still find myself thinking about it.

For those who love the feel of paper and ink between their fingers, "A Little Something Different" by Sandy Hall is a must-read. This unique book features hand-drawn illustrations and rough pages that give it a tactile quality. The story itself is sweet and tender, following the romance between two characters as they navigate the ups and downs of high school life. What I love most about this book is its raw, unpolished quality – it feels like construction paper come to life.

Recommendations from one reader to another are always welcome, and for that reason, I highly recommend "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" by Rick Riordan. This series has become a staple in my reading routine, and I've already recommended it to friends and family members. The stories are engaging, fun, and full of adventure, making it an excellent choice for readers of all ages. My dad is a perfect example – he devoured the entire series while laughing and enjoying every moment.

As someone who values the power of literature to shape our perspectives and experiences, I have a special place in my heart for "Anna and the French Kiss" by Stephanie Perkins. This charming novel has been read three times already, and I'm confident that it will be revisited multiple times in the future. The story follows Anna, an American teenager who finds herself caught between two cultures and love interests – it's a delightful exploration of identity, friendship, and first love. I can almost imagine myself reading this book on my rocking chair as a grandmother, memorizing every word.

Finally, for those who want to join the conversation about books, I'm excited to announce that I'll be hosting a "Book Courtship" tag. If you're interested in participating, please follow me on Goodreads, Instagram, and Twitter – links are available below. This will be my way of connecting with fellow book lovers, sharing our favorite reading experiences, and discovering new titles to add to our shelves.
