Is This $16 Gaming Keyboard Any Good

The Art of Affordable Gaming: A Review of the Cheaply Priced Keyboard from Ari

As I sat down to review this very cheaply priced gaming keyboard from Ari, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and trepidation. The price tag? A mere $16. That's right, folks, we're talking about a keyboard that costs less than an Alfredo stick gorgonzola from Olive Garden. Now, I know what you're thinking - "Is it any good?" Well, let me tell you, I was eager to find out.

The first thing that caught my eye when I unwrapped the keyboard was its colourful LED backlights. Ah, yes, it's got all the bells and whistles of a high-end gaming keyboard, right? Wrong. As I took a closer look, I realized that these weren't just any ordinary LED lights - they were actually just a static rainbow sort of color with zero movement. But hey, at this price point, who needs fancy lighting effects anyway?

Next up was the build quality. Or should I say, lack thereof? The keyboard felt extremely lightweight, almost to the point where it felt flimsy. And let's be real, folks - we all know that a cheaply made keyboard is not going to last long. But hey, maybe this one will surprise us and prove to be durable.

One of the most interesting things about this keyboard was its material. Or rather, lack thereof. It appears that the manufacturer took some liberties with the build quality, opting for a more... let's say, "industrial" look. The keys were made from what looked like some sort of cheap plastic, and the whole thing had an odd, somewhat bizarre feel to it.

Now, I know some of you might be thinking, "But what about gaming performance? How does this keyboard hold up?" Well, let me tell you - I put this baby through its paces with an input lag tester, and guess what? It performed pretty darn well. Not perfect by any means, but it was definitely usable.

Of course, with great price comes great compromise. The keyboard's design is not exactly elegant - the logo on the top right corner of the WASD keys is a bit too prominent, if you ask me. And don't even get me started on the weird little shadows around the rubber dome switches. But hey, who needs good build quality when you can have a keyboard for under $20?

So, how would I rate this little gem? Well, I'd give it a solid 6 out of 10. It's not exactly perfect, but it's definitely a solid option for someone on a tight budget or just looking to try their hand at gaming with a new device.

If you're curious about the whole thing, rest assured that you can check out the full review in the description down below. from Ari this is sixteen dollars okay um that's like less than an Alfredo stick gorgonzola from Olive Garden this probably doesn't taste is good but it is still very cheaply priced I really don't know what to expect so I figured hey let's just check it out together and maybe you'll pick it up if you like it who knows so I like right here it shows you it's got these colourful LED backlights and game yes game let's check this out and okay definitely not mechanical to pop off a key role quick and see what we got going on under here and that is what you call rubber dome Wow okay so you can immediately see when you pop off one of these key caps that this I think at one point was it white keyboard they just completely spray painted it black I guess that would kind of explain the the unpainted square behind the keys that's bizarre definitely not the greatest materials here extremely lightweight and we saw by the paint job not too much going on I've used rubber domes before and these feel you know just like what I'd expect from that so we'll plug it in check out the LED lights and see if it's okay for sixteen dollars all right so when you plug in the keyboard to turn on the lights you press this button there are no brightness levels just simply on and off and you get this static rainbow sort of color with like green orange red blue and purple zero movement just on and off that's your pretty standard layout here pretty ugly logo right there from read a little bowls WASD and they slightly larger than normal spacebar but this is what you're getting for sixteen bucks a very lightweight keyboard does have some feet on the bottom if you want to slightly elevate it and like I said with these rubber dome switches here that are just so oddly spray-painted around you can see it leaves these like shadow or silhouettes I don't know it's just so bizarre but let's do a sound test you could hear these are rubber dome switches and I mean if you're gonna be using this for gaming that we have here boot it up an input lag tester and honestly it's it's gonna be just fine I mean really it's not glaringly slow or lagging it's definitely usable all right so I mean for 16 bucks I mean like think about it's sixteen dollars you are getting in keyboard with these LED lights inside they're not bad they're not the brightest it's not anything customisable you know but again for sixteen dollars it is a little bit better than I was expecting I figured I would get something like just real real crappy and this isn't necessarily not crappy if you know what I'm saying but it is better than I thought now what these rubber dome switches it's this is gonna sound stupid but I really I don't mind them my first few gaming keyboards way back when I was first getting into PC gaming they were rubber domes these kinda you know feel very nostalgic to me and kind of like right at home like I'm used to these I don't mind the feeling of them no they're not as good at something you know like a mechanical keyboard or anything will throw like cherry or something like that but it's gonna get the job done I mean if you need a secondary keyboard this might not be a bad backup option or say you are an extremely tight budget and you just want to pick up a first-time keyboard for under $20 whether you're just getting at the PC gaming or you just want something other than like well those very slim chiclet keys this isn't that bad I'll give it like a 6 out of 10 rating one thing that's kind of just still baffling me is that whole paint job underneath the keys but yeah I mean from RE if you want to check it out I'll put it in the description down below sixteen bucks guys Alfredo stick gorgonzola you know what I'm saying so if you like the videos give it a thumbs up and
