The process of crafting is a journey that requires patience, creativity, and attention to detail. In this article, we will delve into the world of crafting with Evan and Katelyn, two individuals who have mastered the art of creating unique and beautiful pieces.
Crafting with Evan and Katelyn begins with preparation. They start by covering their workspace with velvet, which adds a touch of drama and elegance to the room. The next step is to prepare the materials needed for the project. In this case, they are working on a side panel design, where they will create a Joobface as the centerpiece.
Evan takes the lead in designing the panel, using his artistic skills to bring the vision to life. He draws a simple border and adds little stars, which will be used as a theme throughout the design. Katelyn helps with the finer details, making sure everything is precise and perfect.
As they work on the design, Evan explains that he wants to create two alternating panel designs. This means that each panel will have its own unique theme, but they will also complement each other. Katelyn agrees, and together they decide to continue the star theme with a sun and some moons. They then turn the moons into an E and a K, creating a personalized touch.
The next step is to engrave the design onto the panel. Evan uses his air whooshing skills to create a unique sound effect while working on the engraving. This adds an extra layer of depth and creativity to the piece.
Once the engraving is complete, Evan and Katelyn take a step back to admire their work. They are thrilled with the result, which they believe showcases their vision and creativity. The side panel design is now complete, and it's ready to be showcased.
One of the most impressive aspects of this project is the attention to detail that Evan and Katelyn have brought to the table. From the velvet-covered workspace to the intricate engraving, every element has been carefully considered and executed.
In addition to their technical skills, Evan and Katelyn are also known for their sense of humor and playfulness. Throughout the crafting process, they keep each other entertained with witty remarks and lighthearted banter. This creates a fun and relaxed atmosphere, which helps them stay focused and motivated.
As the project nears completion, Evan and Katelyn take a moment to reflect on what they've created. They are proud of their work and excited to share it with others. The final product is a beautiful side panel design that showcases their vision and creativity.
In conclusion, crafting with Evan and Katelyn is an art form that requires patience, creativity, and attention to detail. cuts?(Evan laughing)Sorry, this happened off screen.Evan was like, \"Oh, thisone doesn't have cuts in it.I'll cut it.\"(sword clanging)Whips out knife.EVAN: Hey, still looks, still turned out okay!Great centering.Oh, so cool.KATELYN: The one withoutsparklies is a bit brighter. The one with sparklieshas some moreinteresting color variation.I personally like allof the LEDs shininginwards instead ofoutwards, because, like,it appeals to myengineering-iness.I'm fine with that, I like both. But, I do like the onewith the iridescent flakiesaround that inner core most.EVAN: Yeah, I like thattoo, let's do that. Now, onto somecolor experiments.Experiment three, color opacity, opacity.Opaquity.(electronic beeping)We decided to dothree more color tests. One that's aslightly more opaqueblue and pink alcohol ink. One, that same blue and pink, but with some blackalcohol ink mixed in,and one, again thatsame blue and pink, but with some whiteiridescent mica mixed in.And, if we have to do anymore color experiments, actually, I'm just kidding,I like the color experiments.Okay, first, let'slook at the onethat's the more opaquepink and blue alcohol ink.I'm getting-Ooh, oh yeah.Comparing it?That's way better. That's nice.KATELYN: I'm gladthat you can still seethe iridescentflakies some in there.Yeah, this is, I'malready way happierwith this and it looks great. You can still see the techinside, which is cool.Yeah.But I feel likeit's gonna be easierto read the letters.Yep, all right.Woo, okay.Next, next.Big improvement. Now, let's look atthe one that we addedwhite iridescent mica to.(mold popping)Ooh.KATELYN: You know, that's also cool. But I think I likethe blues.I don't think I likeit as much.Yeah, me neither.Alrighty.Now, the onethat we added blackalcohol ink to.EVAN: I'm excitedabout this one.KATELYN: I'm especiallyexcited to seehow this one looks lit up.Ooh.Ooh, very darkand moody.Yeah.KATELYN: I like that, though.EVAN: Ready?KATELYN: That's pretty cool.EVAN: Which one?KATELYN: Ah!Ah, (laughing) I mean they'rein the same family. They look very similar.EVAN: They're inthe same family.Like you could evenlike, you know, have some of theseand some of thesemixed within one set probably.Let's check out our final dice, which doesn't evenhave lights in it.We just had extraof all these colors.Pink alcohol ink, blue alcohol ink, white iridescent mica, and black alcohol ink.EVAN: That is cool looking.KATELYN: It is cool.EVAN: I mean, we're movingin the right direction.I would be happy withany of them, honestly.I really wish that thisone did have lights in itso that it was an accurate test. This one is the coolest, this one is the coolest!(Katelyn screaming)But, everything is the coolest!KATELYN: I think I caneliminate the ones with the micabecause, while it looks cool,I feel like it clouds thelights a little bit too much.EVAN: Yeah, and I like thedarker look of the black, but it does kind ofmuddy things a bit, so.Simple pink and blue.EVAN: Let's go intomass production mode.I'm so ready to seethem all together.I'm so ready.(Evan laughing)(upbeat music)Oh!Do they look okay?EVAN: So far so good.KATELYN: Okay, well let'sget 'em out and see.Alrighty, now all we have to dois just hours andhours of sanding, clipping and finishing.Yay.(Evan laughing)Yay, I can't wait.(Katelyn sighing)(upbeat music)(both breathing heavily)How you feeling, it's beena long six weeks or so.(laughing) I feel so relievedto be here at this moment, about to test our finaldice in the final dice tray. This has been such an adventure. There's so much that wecouldn't even show you guys.Like, we have, we made so many,so many test dice.So much testing. So much we couldn't talk about,we'll have to cover itin the after show later.Yeah, we'll tell allthe stories there. But, for now, it's timefor the final test. Are you ready?(dice clattering)Oh!Yes!(upbeat music)(dice clattering)(dice clattering)Yeah!(Evan laughing)Oh my gosh. They're so celestial. They're so, like, magical looking.(dramatic music)The moment of victorythat I want at the end of this,I want to roll a 20 andI want that 20 to glow.(dramatic music)(triumphant music)(crowd applauding)KATELYN: Don't wave.(Evan and Katelyn laughing)Boop. They boggle my mind, 'causeI know how they work.Yeah.But it doesn'tlook like they should work.KATELYN: No, it feelskind of like magic, when you lower them in-It feels kind of like magic, which is the coolest-And raise them up.It's, like, is the coolestthing to do, you know? They look like, like, like little, like, like it, like,it, it like it.(both laughing)(laughing) Words are hard.(Evan laughing)So, does this makeyou wanna playD and D, now that wehave, like, a super, super cool set of dice?Yeah, this might be,this is the tipping point.Having dice so cool that youcan't not play with them.KATELYN: Oh my god.EVAN: E'z the P'z, baby. While you're doing that,oh, this is recording.Hello, how long hasthis been recording?Hello. (laughing)So, the rice. (laughing)(both laughing)Oh my god, the rice is gone.(farting)Katelyn!KATELYN: Okay, that was you.(Evan laughing)KATELYN: Yes, yeah, yes.How you doing, yes.(Evan and Katelyn laughing)\n"
