Bookmas Day 24: A Christmas Bookshelf Scavenger Hunt

I'm excited to announce that I'll be doing a Christmas bookshelf scavenger hunt on December 24th, which is also known as Christmas Eve. This classic activity always brings me joy and I love the challenge of finding books in different places around my home. This year, however, it's going to be a bit more challenging since I have shelves both behind me and in front of me. I'm looking forward to the hunt and seeing what hidden gems I can discover.

Bookmas Day 25: A Christmas Book Haul

On December 25th, which is also known as Christmas, I'll be doing a book haul that I've been eagerly anticipating for weeks. I love doing a Christmas book haul because it's like giving myself gifts on this special day. Recently, there have been numerous sales, so I've been stocking up on releases that I've really wanted to read. As a result, my bookshelf is overflowing with new books, and I can barely wait to share them with you all.

Bookmas Day 26: TBR Pile Reveal

On December 26th, I'll be sharing which books are still on my to-be-read (TBR) pile going into the year. In previous years, this list has been relatively short, but this time around, it's grown significantly to over 300 books! I'm happy with having such a long TBR because it means I have plenty of options to choose from, which is always exciting for me.

Bookmas Day 27: Pre-Ordered Books

For Bookmas Day 27, I'll be sharing the books that I've pre-ordered for 2022. Each title will come with a brief elevator pitch, summarizing what each book is about. Since I pre-order a lot of books, it's become a habit to make the most of my coupons and save money on future purchases.

Bookmas Day 28: Five-Star Predictions

On December 28th, I'll be sharing five-star predictions for upcoming releases in 2022. While I've moved away from giving ratings, this activity is still one of my favorites because it allows me to share my enthusiasm for books that I'm excited to read.

Bookmas Day 29: A 2022 Anti-TBR (Maybe)

For Bookmas Day 29, I wasn't sure what to do at first. However, after having trouble finding books for a 2022 anti-tbr (a list of books that are coming out next year but I don't want to read), I might just have to go with an end-of-the-year Q&A instead.

Bookmas Day 30: Most Anticipated Releases

On December 30th, I'll be sharing my most anticipated book releases for 2022. This will give you all a glimpse into what I'm looking forward to reading next year.

Finally, on Bookmas Day 31 (New Year's Eve), I'll be sharing my 2022 TBR and resolutions for reading. It's always exciting to start the new year with fresh goals in mind, and this activity will allow me to reflect on what I've learned from my reading experiences.

excited about it honestly i needed something like this this year just to like get back to work as usual and really challenge myself so if you guys aren't familiar with bookmas it is basically this annual video-a-thon that i do every single year in the month of december so kind of like vlogmas obviously but instead of just doing a daily vlog i do a daily video that has a topic that's kind of wrapping up what i've read in 2021 or looking forward to 2022 or there's a few festive topics there as well because the holidays are my favorite time of year i absolutely love christmas and i am so excited to be bringing bookmas back again this year for 31 videos a new video every single day for the month of december so before i get into the topics for bookmas don't forget to subscribe and click it's just going to be a lot of fun now last year bookmas was very stressful for me because i wasn't really feeling the holidays just with covid like my family wasn't coming home i wasn't able to see my family at all and that's like my favorite part of christmas so it was a really really hard time for me and i also it was like before i was on medication so it just wasn't fun but this year it's going to be well i don't want to say it wasn't fun it was fun but it was stressful i got off to a rough start where like my first day of filming i filmed six videos and i was really happy about it and then it ended up that the audio didn't record for any of them so it was just absolutely off to a horrible start and really stressful but this year i've gotten better about like managing things so i'm ahead of the game which is awesome so today's obviously officially book this eve because it's november 30th which also is my birthday but more importantly it's bookmassive so tomorrow is december 1st and that will kick off the 31 days straight of videos if you guys were interested in doing bookmas whether you want to do it on like your blog or instagram or videos or whatever you definitely don't have to do all the videos you can do whatever topics you would like i just asked that if you are using a topic that i came up with to credit me with it i know that like i didn't come up with the idea of bookmas plenty of people do their own version of bookmas but just if you're using one of the ideas that i came up with i hope that made sense but honestly feel free to do whatever you really want with it and also don't forget to tag me in it if you do end up doing it because i would love to see your contributions i really love when you guys do it so that being said let's get into the topics for bookmas 2021 day one of bookmas is going to be a classic which is starting off with my december tbr the books that i want to read in the coming month and i mean as long as i'm able to get all my editing done i should be able to get to all of the ones that i'm hoping to actually i do have a lot of christmasy reads so i don't know if i'll get to all of them but i'm gonna try and get to as many as possible bookmas day two is offering you guys some holiday book recommendations so some of my favorite christmas eve reads or just surrounding the holiday season i have some that i've recommended in years past but i do also have some new ones to add bookmas day three is subscriber recommendation so i don't really know how to like give it a quick snappy title but i have done these videos in the past where on instagram i'll ask you guys for like a random prompt and then i will recommend a book based on that so i thought it'd be fun to apply that to christmas and recommend a book whether it's you want to gift someone a book or you want a book to add to your wish list so that's why i asked you guys on instagram for a little prompt and then i recommended a book based on that i hope that made sense i don't know why that one is such a struggle to explain bookmas day four is my personal favorite best books of 2021. i like to do this video early in bookmas because i then spend like the rest of the month kind of breaking it down however i did want to mention that i do make a conscious effort to not repeat books a lot obviously there are going to be some that come up in one video that might be mentioned in another but i do try not to be too repetitive since a video a day if i'm talking about all the same books at the same time like every single video i understand how that would be boring so i do try to vary it a little bit and not that i'm not being honest with my answers it does work out like where i'm still able to give you guys my truthful lists but also not repeat so much bookmas day five we're going to be turning to the negative side of things and talking about the worst books that i read in 2021 no bad books just weren't for me but it's an interesting list then bookmas day six is going to be the first vlog of bookmas i'm going to be doing three vlogs this bookmas because i am going to be going home to visit my family in windsor so i don't want to like have a vlog to do there i just want to spend time with my family so i'm only going to be doing three the last week of bookmas won't have a vlog to it but for the first vlog of bookmas i thought it would be really fun because i've done it before last year i think is the first year where i incorporated vlogs and i did it where i read a book that i kept on saying i was going to read all year and just didn't end up getting to and then i did another one where i read a couple of 20 20 releases that i didn't get the chance to get to but this year i thought it'd be fun to look back on a video that i did for bookmas 2020 which was my five star predictions video and i did get to a lot of those books but there are a couple that i didn't get the chance to get to so for the first vlog of bookmas i'm going to be reading a couple of the books that i thought i was going to love and give 5 stars and seeing how i like them bookfish day 7 is going to be all about the books that i did not finish in 2021 then bookmas day eight is going to be about the 2021 releases that i didn't get the chance to get to and i really wish i could have read them and there's definitely a lot like that is a that was a really big list because 2021 was so wild bookfish day 9 is going to be sharing my almost favorite books of 2021 i'm not exactly sure what to call this video because i feel like it makes it seem like i didn't like these as much but essentially they're kind of like my four-star reads of 2021. they are the books that i really enjoyed and would definitely recommend but there's only 15 books on my favorites of the year list so they didn't quite make it onto the list but they're still really good and i wanted to talk about them bookmas day 10 is once again going to be looking back on that five star predictions video that i did in 2020 i should have like kind of put this closer to the vlog but oh well but i'm going to be talking about the books that i did read from that video from that list that i had and seeing if my prediction was accurate bookman's day 11 is a new one that i'm so excited for so i released a google form earlier in the month asking you guys to contribute because i really wanted to bring bookmas like i always like to get you guys involved in it i think it's a ton of fun so i have been watching like i kind of got into beauty gurus again a little bit this year and ally glenn's is one that i really enjoy watching and she always asks like and does these videos where it's like the best blushes according to you so i thought it'd be really fun to apply that to bookmas and i asked you guys what your best and worst and like kind of to break down your reading year for me so on bookmas day 11 i'm going to be talking about the best and worst books of 2021 according to you guys and i think it's gonna be so much fun i still need to like compile the data to then film it but i'm really excited bookmas day 12 is my 2021 anti-tbr so books that came out in 2021 that i have no interest in reading personally bookmas day 13 is going to be another vlog and it's also another new one this year i just kind of changed up most of the vlogs this year but for this one i am going to ask my boyfriend to wrap a couple of books from my tbr maybe two to three depending on how long they are and then i will unwrap them and read them so i won't know what i'm going to be reading that week until i unwrap them bookmas day 14 is going to be talking about the most hyped up or the most talked about books of 2021. book plays day 15 will be about the books that surprised me and the books that disappointed me this past year bookmast 16 is one that you guys really wanted to see so that is reacting to negative reviews of my favorite books from 2021. bookmas day 17 is going to be talking about the book to movie or tv show adaptations that came out this past year and then bookmas day 18 is going to be talking about the upcoming book to movie or tv show adaptations that will be coming out in 2022. bookmas day 19 is one i am so excited about and i i thought the idea was cool but then i wasn't sure how it turned out but i actually really like how it turned out i filmed it yesterday and i think it worked out really well but that is that i'm going to be doing and if you liked this then you should try this 2022 release so essentially a book that could have come out whatever year i'm going to be recommending a book that you would probably enjoy because it's kind of similar that will be coming out in 2022. bookmas day 20 is going to be the final reading vlog of bookmas and it's one i'm so excited for because i'm going to be reading christmasy romances and i literally have acquired so many this year that it's like not possible that i'm going to get all of them but i'm going to try my best i'm going to definitely get to a few in that vlog because we're entering the week of christmas so that will be a very festive week bookmas day 21 is going to be showing you guys every single book that i read this past year and i will also be going through some of my reading stats and everything because i like stats i'm a little bit nerdy in that way so i find it very interesting then bookmas day 22 i'm going to be doing a tier ranking for all of the books that i read this past year i don't know if people still do tier ranking but i had a lot of fun with that video and it also like challenges me so much it's really hard to rank all the books that i've read so it's it's a fun one bookmas day 23 i'm going to be telling you guys which books i included on my christmas wish list this year bookmas day 24 will be christmas eve so i am going to be doing a christmas bookshelf scavenger hunt which is a classic i really love doing it and i feel like it's going to be a lot more challenging this year because not only do i have shelves behind me but i also have shelves in front of me so there's just gonna be a lot to choose from bookmas day 25 is of
