Instagram.James, I think you were expecting what, like a couple hundred entries?- Yeah, turns out wegot over 4,000 entries. We literally did not have enough timeto go through them all.So, if you don't see your car on this list- Sorry.- Now, we're not hereto roast anybody's car.Project cars are a very personal thing. It's really not our style, but we are gonna break them upinto four distinct categories. At the top we got Too Nice To Drive. This is a very high level build, something that you would be too nervousto take to Ross Dress for Less.- Okay.- Then we got, I Want This Car.This is a car that we want. This is a car that wewould drive on the weekend,if not every day.- Pretty self-explanatory.- Right below that we have,It's A Good Ship. It's a pretty nice car.- Okay.- And then right below that we got,At Least It's Got Soul.Everybody's project car has merit.Every car is cool.If you love it, we want toencourage you to keep loving it.Keep working on it, keep driving it.Without further ado, let's get started.Up first, we got Frank Bouch. With his 2JZ Swapped Infinity G35.The Nissan 350Z's slightly fancier cousin.Frank bought this car at Bone Stockand for years he'swanted to do a 2JZ swap.He finally achieved his goal, and he uses his car to dohalf mile rolling drags.- Pretty sick.- And one of the coolestparts about this car,is it has a baby seat in the back, for his kid, who's now addicted toboost which is pretty sad.- I like the color a lot.- I like a lot about this car.- Yeah.- I think the wheels are really cool. The 2JZ Swap obviouslybig old single turbo.- Awesome. It looks like it's really cleanly done.Like really well put together.Obviously Frank put alot of time into this.I have found one thingI don't like about it.- What?- And that's thosestickers on the headlights, that make it look a little angrier.Do you see those?- Are those eyebrows?- I don't like eyebrows.Oh, we gotta give it a category.I don't know it's likeyeah, it's cool man.- I think it's a good ship.- Okay, it's a good ship.- That's a good car.- Good job,Frank.- Oh.Okay, so this is Philip Phabworks. That's your real name?- Incredibly,- Incredibly.- Convenient.- So Philip Phabworkssubmitted his 1982 Chevy C10.I love a good C10.This was his dad's work truck since 2005,it's gone through two enginesand two transmissions.Changed the grill andthe trim, lowered it.It's got big old 20 by nine inch steelies.- It's a big wheel. And it's a very sentimental truck.- Obviously I really, really dig it.I'm going to say, I want this.- I want this car.- Yeah, I want this car.- Like that is a car that I wanted beforewe started shooting this video (chuckles). And I'm looking at thispicture of this one right now.I still want one.- I want this car.- I want this car.- Oh!- This one's very special. This is Ralph Ruiz's 1990Koenig Special Porsche 928S4.Now right off the bat the 928S4 is,one of the more desirable 928s.And this one has a lot ofreally cool period correct mods. This thing was in a Japanesecollection for years. It has 28,000 original miles.Like I said, this is a periodcorrect Koenig widebody kit.- That's really cool.- And it's got Borbet Type-As,which are equally period correct. And honestly a wheel that I've wantedsince I started liking wheels.- That's a veryJames wheel on there.- Yeah (chuckles).- But like, what I likeabout this body kit on here,is that with the wider hips,it does make it look like some...It makes it look more like a 911.- Yeah, this is like abig trend in the '80s.These like high dollar like tuner shop, wide body kitson Porsche's and Mercedes and BMWs.And to find one that'sin this good a shape--- It's awesome. And look at that engine bay too,it looks really clean.Like this thing was obviouslytaken very well care of.How would you rank this?- I Want This Car.- You want this?- It's got an automatic whichis kind of like me to me,but it's like a grand touring car.I would love to takethis car on a road trip.- Yeah, for sure.- I'd love to drive like 500miles in this car and then,I'd drive 500 (mumbles)(James gibbers)(James and Nolan laugh)- Oh!- This is Drew Peralta's RWB Porsche 993,my personal favoritegeneration of the 993.I know I'm very original in saying that.Drew is from the Philippines. The color was inspired byMcLaren tobacco orange. You might notice that on the side, the word Tubero, and you might be thinking,"Is it a turbo?"It might be.But Tubero means plumber. And his dad was a plumberand he put it on there to remind himof his humble beginnings, how far he's come. And he has come very far. That is a very expensive, very cool looking car.- I would like to own a RWB someday. So, I Want This Car.- I think it's Too Nice To Drive.- Yeah, Iwouldn't want to drive it.(James laughing)- This is like a carthat you get like a nice, like industrial loft apartmentwith like a big oldgarage door on the side, and you just park it in your living room.- And then you do likea cool Instagram storywhere you're like drinkingyour very artisan coffee, and then you like pan up to your car,and your like (chuckles),"View from the office."- Yeah.(James and Nolan laugh)- Ooh.- This is a couple car, Helen and Alex.We don't know their last name.May be on purpose. What are you hiding, Helen and Alex? What are you hiding?A crime?(Nolan laughs)- Alex bought this carin 1994 for 5,000 pounds.- 5,000 quid.- This is a Renault 5 Turbo 2,one of my favorite cars of all time. The couple sold it in 2005.And then when the new owner passed away, they bought it back from their family, and restored it to its current look. The base Renault 5 isa very consumer level,front-wheel drive, front-engine car,but then, they decided theywanted to do a rally racing,so they put a turbo four-banger,in the middle of it behind the seats, and made it rear-wheel drive. It's a fricking certified hit.(car honks softly)- I love you so much.- Yeah.- I want this car.- Yeah, I want it too.And look, they took a picturein front of the same building,it looks like with the car. That's very goals.#goals.- #goals.- Oh!What a German car so far. This is Dustin Shipman's 1996Volkswagen Golf Harlequin. They came like this from thefactory only released in 1996.They made I think 236 of them. This is number 64.There's a pretty activecommunity of Harlequin owners. They all know the number they got. This one has aTurbo VR6 in it,which is pretty sick.- That's really cool. With like engine swaps and stuff,is it like, like these are super rare cars but,is like modding these thingslook down upon like this.- I think that's what's so coolabout the Volkswagen community. There's not really a puristvibe to like any of it.- I wouldn't want to drive this per se,but like if I saw thisa side of me to be like,"Dustin? That's really cool, man."- It's A Good Ship.- It's A Good Ship.(James and Nolan laugh)Keats Maxwell's 1983 Ford Bronco.- Dude, if your name is Keats, this is the car you gotta drive.- This truck nickname is Montrucky, which is a rare three pun combination,three-word pun. It's a very rare three-word pun!- Max, I need you to dolike a graphical overlay.- Okay, hold on,try and follow with me, okay?So he's from here,Montana. But he says Montucky.Because right over here where I'm from,it's where rednecks arefrom, but he's a redneck too.So he's saying I'm from Montanabut I'm also like from Kentuckywhere the redneck trash like me is from, but then, it's a truck. So it's called Montrucky.Brilliant!(James and Nolan laugh)All right, he saw iton the side of the roadand was just like,"I need that."I think we can all relateto that, especially Nolan.- I think It's A Good Ship.I wouldn't drive it--(James laughs)- I love this car.Graham Gregoire's 1992 Supercharged V6--- Wait, wait, wait. That's probably the V6 fromlike the Odyssey, the minivan.Oh my God.- It's J series- It's got a blower, James. That would stick out the hood. It's the best of all worlds, dude.- And also if you notice theengine bay is really clean.- It is very clean.- He added manual brakesand removed power steeringto achieve that look, which makes me like this dude even more.Graham Gregoire, I love you.- Dude, that's sick.- (laughs) I love your car.The perfect combination.(mumbles) hilarious and bad-ass- I want a Honda.Yeah, I want this.- I Want This Car.This is maybe my favorite car on the list.- So far, this my favorite, yeah.A lot of Volkswagen.- What?- What's going on, James?- What? I like 'em.(Nolan laughs)I never said the listwas chosen at random. This is Shelly Veira's MK2 Golf. Now Shelly is a mom. She's owned this car for 17 years. She taught herself how to work on it.She's done two motor swaps.- That's really cool. She did a two liter ABA,which is the Mk3 Golf motor. And now it has a 1.8t in it.- Oh sick, that's turbo. You don't really see a lotof early Golfs anymore.- I do think that there waslike a certain generationof people who like modded these cars, and a lot of the really niceexamples are in garages.- Okay, if I was to ever buy a Volkswagen,I would want like an earlier--- Like a Mk2?- Mk2, or even Mk1, Ilike those a lot too.- Yeah.- I think It's A Good Ship.- I think It's A Good Ship.- This is really cool. And I love that Shelly'shad it for 17 years.- Yeah, that's awesome. So this is James Moss's1987, surprisingly,Citroen 2CV.It's one of those cars thatlike didn't get a redesign ever.- No, I can...Why not?(James and Nolan chuckle)- What's even more shocking Nolan,is James bought this carwhen he was eight years old.How did you buy a car when you were eight?- (chuckles) That's insane. That's cool.It looks like it's been lowereda bit, I would say, right?- Yeah I like the wheels. He spent years tinkering on it.Finally got it running when he was 16.He's got a flat 2.- That, Oh!- And it makes 35 horsepower.- That's so cool. It's A Good Ship, man. That's cool.- Yeah, It's A Good Ship.Good for you, James. And honestly man, take a vacation, you've been working since you were eight.(Nolan laughs)- Ooh.- This is Jose GuadalupeMorales Ornelas's,1972 Mustang Mach 1.His dad has had this car for 20 years, before giving it to Jose for graduation.Congratulations on that.- That's very cool.- They worked on ittogether for five years. And his dad is a truck driverso he's on the road a lot.And Jose says that, the experience of building it with his dadwas kind of a rare thingbecause he is traveling.- Yeah, that makes sense. Wow.- Great way to bond with your son.- So cool.- This guy's (mumbles).- Yeah, that's really awesome.- Jose, I'm sojealous of your dad.I'd love to be your brother.Maybe your daddy can adopt me.I want this car.Get a CB radio in there.- Hell yeah.Oh, you know he's got one.- (laughs) No, dude. He's gotta got that backup for the CBs.- I love it.I mean, Kentucky Cobra of course.- Yeah Kentucky Cobra.- (mumbles) Bigfoot.- Hell yeah.(James laughs)(Nolan laughs)Dude, let's go do some(Nolan laughs)Interstate crimes.(Nolan laughs)This is one of my favoriteones on the whole list. This is Shelby Altman with a $700 Miata. He got it on Facebook for 700 bucks.Started autocrossing it.- Hell yeah.- And he's gonna take itto the track this summer. This is a quote,he's "Ballin on a budget"and just trying tosend it with the boys".- That's the attitude you gotta have.- Which is awesome. This is the reason that we put,At Least It's Got Soul.(James and Nolan laugh)This is why we make videos.- Yeah, Shelby like makesup our core audience.- Yeah, when we make videoswe picture you Shelby.I also knew you'd like thisone because of autocross.- Yeah, love that autocross.Come on out to Fontana,I'll see you there.- Which they also call Fontucky.- They do.- Okay.(Nolan laughs)So we're over here in California.(video beeps)The next few cars on this listare from the Donut Discordwhich is just one of the perksof our membership program. There's a channel on the Discordwhere people post their cars.(James mumbles)- All right, let's check them out. This is Sabathor.- Oh.- What?Sounds like this dude got a big old sword.(Nolan laughs)- Sabathor says, "Heyeveryone, I'm new around here."I'm from the UK."And I've been looselyfollowing "Donut" since 2018."I drive a Z2 Land Rover"with a lift kit, a snorkel for swimming,"a winch and bumper."- You know I would assumethat Brits would have differentnames for those like mods.Like a snorkel would be like,"I've got a (mumbles)."(James and Nolan laughing)- I was like honestly surprised that like,he was calling ourshows, what we call them.(James and Nolan laugh)And like they didn't have anickname really Money Pit.Like, "In the UK we call it Quid Hole."- Quid (laughs).- I want this car.Yeah, I would daily this car,it'd be slightly uncomfortable. It's A Good Ship, for me.(virtual audience applauds)This is Hoodie's 2002 Tacoma. We are big fans of Tacomas.- I love it.- Hint hint,me and Nolan might be gettingsome Tacomas coming up.- Why would you say that?- I don't know.Moving on.Hoodie says, "Sup guys, just joined."Here's my little '02 Tacoma."Money put got me orderinga turbo for it soon."- I love it.I think this is super sick.I think those are KanseiKNP wheels, I believe, they look like it.- Oh, look atNolan with the wheels.Tacomas is like a inspiredchoice for like the slam truck.- Usually they're so capable of--- Exactly. But if you find likea two-wheel drive one,do something like this.- You can put a little turbo on it,like Hoodie plans to do.Get yourself a little drift truck.(Nolan awes)A drift truck.(Nolan awes)I love it.- It's very cool.- It's A Good Ship.- I actually want this.I'd try something like that for sure.- It's cool. Very cool.Good job, Hoodie. To learn more about the membership programyou can hit the Join button below,or we'll do, we'll put alink in the description.- Ooh,- This is my favorite car on the list. This is Freddy Pena's 1999 S15 Silviaby Nissan.Freddy is an active duty military member. So thank you, Freddy. He's serving in Japan right now.And he says that workingon the car helps them dealwith the mental stress ofserving in the military.Yeah, he says he's inspired by Money Pit,which is very cool to hear.Ilove, love this car.- Yeah, that's cool.I'd be afraid to drive it actually.- Really?- Yeah, 'cause I'd be afraidif someone door dingsme with that cool paint. It's so nice. That's a Too Nice To Drive, for me.- I think it is very nice.Almost too nice to drive, but not quite.I Want This Car so bad and it's...Yeah, I want it so bad that, the fact that it's too nice to drive, doesn't even enter intothe equation for me,because I just want it.It's like the fricking Japanese Mustang.- Yeah, it's cool, yeah.Julian Serna with his E30 M3 Touring, and you might be wondering Nolan,"I didn't know that they made a M3 wagon."They didn't.(Nolan awes)He's actually found a conversion for saleand then brought it back to life.- That's really cool.Painted it Daytona Violet, which is one of thecoolest BMW colors ever.- Daytona!- The darkest city.(Nolan laughs)This is probably our Max'sfavorite car in the list.- It's up there. It's up there.- Yeah.- Cause yeah, it's awesome.I think it's a nice ship.I'm not like a BMW guy,but like if I saw that I'd be like,"It's awesome."- You know I would stop andlook at it for a very long time,in a parking lot.- Yeah, for sure.(James laughs)- Corey Sellic Offroad 1990 BMW 525i,code named "Steel Of Death".(Max and Nolan laugh)Okay.Bought her for $1,400.It's got 320,000 original miles.- Wow.He daily drives it.He rallies it,- Yep.- And he took it to theKing of the Hammers.- That's hilarious. That picture with thebig old rooster tail, looks like they're out at Johnson Valley, for that show. That's a really cool photo by the way. That looks like a ton of fun.Looks like a barrel of monkeys dance.- I love that this car exists.- Yeah, It's Got Soul.(James laughs)- Darwin Cipion'sBig Turbo B5 Audi S4,laser red.- I love it.- He brought it back from the dead, which is not surprising.(Nolan laughs)(mumbles) experience with his S4.- Yeah, I broke it.It's got a big old Single Turbo.Of course from the factoryit came with a twin.- Oh yeah.
