Favorite Google Home Features from Google Home Experts! Feat. @CKidM @TKBay @TechSteve

**Setting Up and Controlling Your Home with Google Home**

Once you get your Google Home set up, you can start controlling your home's lighting system with ease. To turn off your studio lights, simply say "Google, turn off my studio lights." You can also specify that you want to turn off all the lights except for a few in front of you by saying "Google, turn off all my lights except for this one and this one." This feature allows you to customize your lighting experience to suit your needs.

**Customizing Your Lighting Experience**

One of the most useful features of Google Home is its ability to change the color and brightness of individual lights. For example, you can ask "Google, turn this light blue" or "Google, turn this light red." You can also dim multiple lights by saying "Google, dim all my lights by 50%." This feature gives you complete control over your lighting system, allowing you to create a cozy atmosphere in your living room or a bright and airy space in your kitchen.

**Enabling Smart Home Automation**

Another great feature of Google Home is its ability to automate various tasks around the house. For example, you can ask "Google, turn off all my lights" when you leave the house, so that they turn off automatically and save energy. You can also ask "Google, turn on the under desk left light" or "Google, turn on the under desk right light." This feature allows you to create a seamless experience in your home, where everything works together to make your life easier.

**Using Sceneries with Philips Hue**

Google Home integrates seamlessly with Philips Hue lights, allowing you to create stunning sceneries that can transform your living space. With just one voice command, you can switch between different scenes and ambiance settings. For example, you can ask "Google, set the room to sunset" or "Google, turn on tropical scenery." This feature allows you to create a unique atmosphere in each room of your home, making it perfect for parties or special occasions.

**Sharing Control with Family Members**

One of the most convenient features of Google Home is its ability to allow multiple family members to share control over the system. You can set up different profiles for each person, so that they can control their own lighting and other smart devices. For example, you can ask "Google, turn on my bedroom lights" or "Google, turn off the living room lights." This feature allows you to give everyone in your household complete control over their own spaces, while still maintaining some level of central control.

**Favorite Features with Tech Expert Brett**

Tech expert Brett has been instrumental in helping me explore the many features of Google Home. One of my favorite features is its ability to cast videos and pictures from my device onto my TV. With just one voice command, I can start playing a video on my Chromecast or Chromecast Ultra. This feature allows me to enjoy high-quality entertainment without having to leave my couch.

**Casting Videos and Pictures**

One of the most exciting features of Google Home is its ability to cast videos and pictures from my device onto my TV. To do this, I simply need to ask "Google, show me [video name] on Chromecast" or "Google, show me [picture name] on Chromecast Ultra." This feature allows me to enjoy a wide range of content, including YouTube videos, Netflix shows, and even live streams.

**Managing Profiles for Music Services**

Another great feature of Google Home is its ability to manage profiles for different music services. For example, if I'm using YouTube TV, I can ask "Google, play the Avengers on Chromecast Ultra" or "Google, skip the next song." This feature allows me to enjoy my favorite music without having to constantly switch between devices.

**Using Smart Home Devices with Google Home**

One of the most exciting features of Google Home is its ability to integrate with a wide range of smart home devices. For example, I can ask "Google, turn on the Philips Hue light" or "Google, adjust the thermostat." This feature allows me to control my entire smart home system with just one voice command.
