The Art of Mini Tacos: A Game-Changing Appetizer
We've been serving mini tacos at our parties for a while now, and people just love them. I've seen someone eat 25 of these little guys at one party - it's a record! What we do is take large flour tortillas and cut out small rings to create the mini tacos. This process works beautifully, and you can get six tacos from one tortilla. We use chicken that we marinate and cook earlier, similar to a recipe I've done before. However, feel free to use pork or ground beef - anything like that will work great.
To make these mini tacos, we strain some of the sauce so it's not too wet. This is important because you want the bite to be just right for appetizers. We take a little bit of chicken and stack it up on each tortilla, making sure not to overfill them too much. The idea is that each taco should be like one to two bites - you want people to enjoy the flavors without feeling overwhelmed. And, let's be honest, when dealing with high-end New York bougie crowd, a little less sauce goes a long way.
One of the key elements to these mini tacos is our famous Zips sauces. These are the most impressive because they can really mask the taste of anything as long as you have a good Zip. We use them sparingly, but it makes all the difference in adding a nice touch to each taco. You can do a little zigzag technique that always works out great and is a must-have for balancing different flavors.
We're doing 100 mini tacos tomorrow, and we've pre-cut everything ahead of time. This will make the process much smoother and allow us to focus on other aspects of the party. We stack the tortillas on top of each other and press out multiple ones at a time - it's quite efficient! Our Zip bottles are made for these events, and all we do is put the chicken, sauce, and Zip together.
To finish off our mini tacos, we add a garnish that really makes them pop. We use green onion as it adds a nice freshness to each bite. It's also versatile, so you can sprinkle it on just a few tortillas or even on the plate itself. This is what sets our mini tacos apart - they're not just delicious but visually appealing as well.
The beauty of these mini tacos lies in their ability to bridge the gap between different social groups. We've served them to both high-end New York bougie crowds and college students, all of whom rave about them. What we love is that people don't realize they're eating the same food - it's only when they take a bite that they understand how delicious these little guys are.
At its core, our mini tacos recipe is simple yet brilliant. Feel free to experiment with different flavors and ingredients until you find your perfect combination. And remember, as long as it tastes good, people will enjoy it!
