The Video Transcription: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at a Popular Tech Channel
We're sorry to inform you that the number you have dialed is not in service at this time.
As we reflect on the past year, I'd like to take a moment to discuss my growth and evolution as a content creator. In 2016, I wanted to share with you what equals Fox. At the end of 2014, I made a commitment to focus on chasing my passions and creating content that would be successful for me. Prior to this, my most popular content was centered around tech tutorials, reviews, and other related topics. However, I knew it was time to concentrate on just one thing – tech.
I'm quite proud and happy to say that this decision worked out well. At the end of last year, we were approaching 15,000 subscribers, possibly a little less, and were slowly grinding towards success. By the end of 2015, we had rapidly approached 30,000 subscribers, which is pretty incredible and I'm grateful for each and every one of my viewers who have supported me along the way.
As we move into 2016, I want to ask you what you want to see from me in terms of content. I've got a long list of ideas and goals that I'd like to share with you, but before I commit to them fully, I'd like to get your feedback. This includes more tutorials, reviews, or maybe less of the other types of content that I create.
I'm looking for your input on what topics you'd like me to cover in future videos and podcasts. Whether it's PC builds, specific tutorial requests, or review requests – whatever it is, please let me know. If you're not afraid to speak up but don't feel comfortable commenting yet, now is the time.
I've always wanted to do a regular show, something weekly that would be mostly audio but could still be viewed by my audience. I'd like to have guests on and cover topics that would grab interest and keep me passionate for several hours each week. However, I don't want to get too complicated as I am the producer of this content.
I've recently been watching Kevin Pereira's "Attack" or "Pointless" show, which has sparked my desire to produce something similar. While it's not possible for me to replicate an existing show exactly, I'd like to create something that captures a similar energy and spirit.
Moving forward, I'll be making some sweet announcements about changes coming up through the new year, including transitions and walkthroughs of new content on both the backend and here at the studio. It's going to be exciting, so stay tuned!
Before we move on, I'd like to thank you for your support – over 200 subscribers on my blog channel and 29,000 subscribers on this YouTube channel. You rock! If you're ready to see more content from me in 2016, please leave a comment below with your ideas and suggestions.
One final note: this is also the first video that I've recorded using my new teleprompter in the studio, which has been quite an adventure getting set up and working properly. Unfortunately, it was still a bit of a mess when I hit record, but don't worry – you won't miss anything! The tripod wasn't exactly sturdy enough for this new equipment, so I'll need to get a better rig soon.
Overall, I hope you've enjoyed watching this behind-the-scenes look at my content creation process. Don't forget to smash that like button and subscribe if you haven't already – I'd love to have you join me on this journey into the world of tech and beyond!
