The iPhone 10 Pro and Pro Max: A Review of Gaming Performance
The iPhone 10 Pro and Pro Max are no strangers to gamers, but can they deliver smooth gaming performance? We put both devices through their paces with Fortnite Mobile and found out. In this review, we'll explore the gaming experience on both phones, including the impact of 60fps on gameplay.
**No Frame Drops at 60fps**
One of the most significant advantages of playing Fortnite Mobile on an iPhone is the lack of frame drops. Unlike some Android devices that struggle with dropped frames even at lower resolutions, the iPhone 10 Pro and Pro Max can maintain a smooth 60fps experience. This means that players can enjoy seamless gameplay without interruptions or lag. In fact, we found that the iPhone 10 Pro was so good that it was almost twice as performant as playing on the iPhone Xs.
**Comfortable Size**
Another aspect of gaming performance is comfort. The iPhone 10 Pro and Pro Max are both slim and lightweight devices, making them easy to hold and play with for extended periods. While they're not as large as some other smartphones, their size is still comfortable in one hand, allowing players to focus on the game without distractions.
**Brightness and Display**
The display of the iPhone 10 Pro and Pro Max is undoubtedly one of its strongest features. The phone's OLED display offers richer colors and a more immersive gaming experience than many Android devices. However, we noticed that the screen dims by itself, possibly due to a bug or glitch in the operating system. This can be frustrating for players who are caught off guard by the sudden change in brightness.
**Comparing with Android Devices**
To put the iPhone 10 Pro and Pro Max gaming experience into perspective, we compared it with the Samsung Note 9, another top-of-the-line smartphone. While the Note 9 has a larger display, its performance was inconsistent, with dropped frames at times. In contrast, the iPhone 10 Pro and Pro Max delivered a smooth gaming experience even at lower resolutions.
**The Verdict**
In conclusion, the iPhone 10 Pro and Pro Max offer an exceptional gaming experience, thanks to their fast performance and 60fps capability. However, we note that the screen dims by itself, which may be due to a bug or glitch in the operating system. If you're a gamer who wants the best mobile gaming experience, we recommend opting for the iPhone Pro Max over the iPhone Xs.
**Fortnite Mobile on Other Devices**
We also tested Fortnite Mobile on other devices, including the iPhone 10S and Note 9. While the iPhone 10S performed well, it was not as smooth as the iPhone 10 Pro and Pro Max. The Note 9, on the other hand, struggled with dropped frames at times, making it less suitable for fast-paced games like Fortnite Mobile.
**Conclusion**
The iPhone 10 Pro and Pro Max are no doubt two of the best gaming smartphones available in the market today. With their smooth performance, comfortable size, and excellent display, they're a must-try for any gamer who wants to play Fortnite Mobile on-the-go.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enyou guys have been asking us to test out fortnight on the new iPhone 10 R so here it is and it couldn't be at a more perfect time since Epic Games just updated fortnight to enable the 60 frames per second option on iOS but only on Apple's latest iPhones including the iPhone 10s 10s max and 10 R now this is a big deal since for night battle royale is extremely competitive in the higher refresh rate helps the game keep up with the rapid movements of players Android phones like Samsung's powerful galaxy note 9 are still stuck at 30 frames per second so we decided to play fortnight on both the iPhone 10 R and then o 9 to see which phone offers a better fortnight gaming experience both phones are at a hundred percent battery life and we've turned up the brightness to the max as well Bluetooth is off and all the background apps are closed so let's get right into it and make sure to set this video's quality to 1080p at 60 frames per second so you can see all the differences alright so here we are on the iPhone 10 R we're gonna go into the settings and we're gonna switch it to 60 frames per second so right away I can feel the difference everything's so smooth like look how fast it moves around everything just keeps up and I don't see any drop frames either this is incredible yeah Adam there it is yeah whoops whoa would you guys see that the display just dimmed for no reason and I'm honestly surprised that there's no frame drops at 60fps because it takes literally double the performance compared to 30fps and as far as how this feels in my hand I honestly think it's the most comfortable iPhone that you can play on oh okay now I gotta find a dude Can I grab a gun oh no oh what where's yet okay I'm chasing this dude I'm getting them oh the brightness just turned up by itself out of nowhere I'm gonna go after this dude and he's probably gonna up brightness went back down again great oh I see something I see something I see something whoo I killed someone haha you joking oh my goodness auto-aim all right this is the final match for the iPhone 10 our and my final thoughts so far is that 60fps is absolutely amazing it changes the game completely as for the size it feels pretty good but definitely not as good as the tennis max a lot better than the 10s and since it has the same processor as the iPhone 10s it's not really lacking in any way oh this guy's got a gun hey leave me alone please hey wait wait hold on hold on don't kill me whoa see I got him in the face but you're not getting the OLED display that has richer colors and basically better in a lot of ways oh I almost headshotted that dude all right so it's been 45 minutes since we started playing and we're at 76% battery life all right so here we are on the note 9 as you guys can see we're at a hundred percent battery life over height so just moving this around you can just see how choppy it is now here we are and surprisingly there's actually some drop frames compared to the iPhone 10 R which was smooth all the time even at 60fps this is actually having a little bit of trouble all right we're going in yeah look at this dropped frames all over the place no jumped up it was so bad got him yes Wow this rifle is amazing man dropped frames you guys see that Oh telling you man it's auto aim okay yo what now is it gonna take my rifle dude I think I'm gonna get killed here I'm just gonna hide here whoa what oh let's do this boy 10 HP left I'm go sue so the lack of 60fps on the note 9 sucks and the dropped frame sucked too but I'm really loving this huge display oh snap that's not supposed to happen yo what a drive what's up dude Hiro's got him yeah doesn't count he wasn't looking at me whatever I still owned him yeah dude that's an ache a legendary I'm not gonna equip a weapon this time I promise yeah what I love this spot right here there's lots of action going on here all right so we just finished another 45 minutes of playing fortnight on the note 9 and we went from 100 to 82% battery life it's actually not bad so after playing for tonight on both phones for around 45 minutes here are my thoughts I've played fortnight mobile on quite a few different devices and to be completely honest 60 frames per second is what has always been missing and it's awesome that there's finally some iPhones that support it and not only support it they play it extremely well it's perfectly smooth it's just incredible how smooth it runs it and compared to playing it on a top-of-the-line Android device like the Samsung Note 9 it blows it out of the water even at only 30 frames per second the note 9 still had issues with dropped frames so in terms of playability the iPhone 10 are and the tennis and tennis max absolutely win in this regard however the note 9 display is quite a bit larger and I noticed that it was easier to play on the note 9 the UI and the controls were smaller and less cramped together so it seemed like I was able to play a little bit better so if you're a big fan of mobile gaming or playing fortnight then I would definitely choose the tennis max over the 10r while playing on the 10r I noticed a serious issue the screen dims by itself and I'm not sure what causes this it's likely a bug or a glitch and I've seen this before in other iOS devices so it's up to epic games to fix this so which phone gives the better fortnight gaming experience thanks to this 60 fps in the awesome performance I've got to give it to the iPhone centaur thanks for watching guys and make sure to subscribe so you don't miss
