Ratchet and Clank 1 PS Vita HD Trilogy Collection First impressions Gameplay Review

The Ratchet and Clank Trilogy on PlayStation Vita: First Impressions

As I upload this video to YouTube, I want to start by apologizing for the delay. Due to a busy day, I haven't had the chance to play through the game yet, but I simply couldn't wait any longer to share my initial thoughts with you all. The Ratchet and Clank trilogy on PlayStation Vita is finally here, and I'm thrilled to dive in.

One of the best things about this collection is that it includes three games, which is a notable departure from other Vita collections like the God of War Collection, where only two games were included due to size constraints. As we take a closer look at the first game, one thing stands out – the actual cutscene is rendered in a small box in the middle of the screen, surrounded by large black borders. While this isn't a major issue for me, it's something that I'm hoping won't be a recurring problem throughout the game.

I must admit that the cutscenes aren't exactly the strongest point of the Ratchet and Clank series. Games like Final Fantasy tend to have more impressive cutscenes, but here, they're more of a standard affair. The menus, however, are a bit blurry, and it's clear that this isn't running at native resolution. The video quality itself is still good, but I can tell we're looking at something akin to 360p. This is slightly better than the God of War cutscenes, which were quite poor.

Despite these minor issues, I'm really looking forward to playing through the game now. A couple of early gameplay footage videos have piqued my interest, and while it's hard to tell from just a few seconds, they do look pretty decent. I've decided to skip the cutscenes for now and get straight into the gameplay. As we begin, I'm happy to report that the game is running smoothly at 30 frames per second, which is good news.

The controls are all inverted, so I'll need to adjust them a bit before playing. The menus do feel a bit old, but this isn't necessarily a deal-breaker for me – after all, it's still Ratchet and Clank we're dealing with here. Overall, my first impressions are positive, and I'm excited to see how the game plays out over time.

Before I wrap up this video, I want to let you all know that I'll be creating more in-depth reviews and gameplay videos for all three games in the collection. This will give you a better sense of what to expect from each title. For now, though, I'm just going to say that I'm really happy with the release of the Ratchet and Clank trilogy on PlayStation Vita – it's exactly what we've been waiting for. Thanks for watching, and please don't forget to subscribe!

taking me so long to do this video and get it up there but just had a busy day so I've not actually had time to get onto it but I had to upload it today I mean this is really good and I'm really looking forward to trying this game out so if we just zoom in a little bit I know there's already quite a few gameplay videos on YouTube but I thought I'd give me you my Onan as good quality as I can so a really really good thing about this trilogy is that yeah there are three games I mean like with the God of War Collection you know they sliced it down just to keep the size low enough to fit on the Vita card which meant that you only actually got two of the three games so yeah so one thing I can tell straight away is that the actual cutscene is only rendered in small box in the middle there's large black borders and I think that's something that we're going to see throughout the game hopefully not but I mean it's not a deal-breaker I mean the cutscenes are not exactly Ratchet and Clank sort of strong point like with games like Final Fantasy and that kind of thing and the menus are a little bit blurry so I can tell this is not running at native resolution so yeah the cutscene is a little bit low quality sound is fine but the actual quality of the video is it's like you're kind of streaming a sort of 360p video kind of thing so you can really tell that this is not native stuff but it's not bad and it's better than say the God of War cutscenes because they were god-awful excuse the pun now I'm really really looking forward to seeing the game play so I dare actually see a couple of early gameplay footage videos and they actually look pretty decent but you know it's hard to tell unless you actually got a proper hands on yourself I'm just gonna skip the cutscenes and get straight to it so this is the first game in the series and first impressions are good I mean the game is running pretty smooth I think it's 30 frames per second which is good I mean the controls are all inverted so I'm gonna have to change that a little bit and the menus feel a little bit old but this is Ratchet and Clank and it's working and it's good so I'm really really happy well this is just gonna be a little short video because I kind of run out of time today but I'll definitely get up along gameplay video for you guys of all three games in action but so far I have to say that I'm pretty impressed I mean I'm not blown away the cutscenes they're a little bit shoddy and this is not running a needs of resolution having said that it's not far off you know it's not like games like Uncharted golden Abyss which are running like almost two-thirds of the actual screens resolution you know it's pretty up there but it's not exactly Killzone mercenary quality but yeah I mean the textures look pretty nice it all up scales pretty well I mean the controls a little bit floaty but that's more than you know acceptable for a platformer like this I mean it's mostly focused on action here so yeah first impressions are good it looks pretty good you know it's gold as trophies and all that kind of stuff to do so yeah I'm just gonna play this for a little bit longer and then I will give you some more in-depth review and gameplay kind of stuff but this is just sort of my first impressions review and yeah I'm just really excited to sink my teeth into this one so thanks for
