all of the appsand all the app icons on the home screen.So, if you miss the app drawer, like I do,you can easily get it backby going to Settings,tap on the Display tab,then Home screen, tap on Select Home,select Home & app drawer.Then, after that, you'll haveyour good old app drawer back,just like you're used to.Next up, there's a way to scale your appsto fit better on that 18:9 screen.So, to do that, you go to Settings,tap on App scaling in the Display tab,tap on any apps that you want to adjust.Unfortunately, you haveto do this one at a time,but, you can do it, and it is helpful.Then, tap on Full screen (18:9)to get it to fill up the entire screen,or you can tap the other optionsif that ends up notworking well for that app.In addition to finallyremoving the physical buttons,which I hate on Android phones,I feel like they're oldand we don't need them,LG also added a neatfeature that allows youto add a couple morebuttons for functionality.To get to that, we go to Settings,Home touch buttons, tapon Button combination,and then you can drag and dropwhatever buttons you wantonto the screen at the top.In total, we can have five,and at the moment, there are six options.And, a quick tip using this,there is a very large screen,and so it's kinda hard sometimesto get to the top to pulldown the notification shade.One of those buttons that you can addto the soft touch buttonsdown at the bottomis a manual pull-down ofthe notification shade,so it makes it a little bit easier for youto get to your notifications with one handby just tapping that button.Next up, we'll turn on night mode.Now, LG technically calls it Comfort Mode,and you also can't scheduleit, which is kind of annoying,but you can turn it onmanually, and it still is nice.What it does though, isit essentially reducesthe amount of blue lightcoming from the screen,which supposedly helps yousleep and reduces eye strain.To get to this, go to Settings,tap Comfort view in the Display tab,and then turn on Comfortview at the top right,and set the level of the bluelight filter from low to high,and you can even do black and white,if you're feeling nutty.Now, you might have seendouble-tapping on your phone screenin order to wake it up on other phones,but never is it more handythan when your phone has nophysical buttons on the frontand only has a fingerprintscanner on the back.So, on the G6, we can enablewhat's called KnockON.To enable KnockON, head to Settings,tap on More, and then turn on KnockON.As soon as you do that, you cannow double-tap on the screenof the phone when itis sitting on a table,and it will turn on.And, lastly, another hidden featureis the ability to have thephone perform specific actionsbased on where it is /what you connect to it.For example, like plugging in a headphone,can launch a specific app,connecting a Bluetooth headset, etc.So, to set that up, go to Settings,tap on Smart settings in the General tab,then tap on one of theoptions that they have.We have At home, Away from home,When earphones are plugged in,and When Bluetooth devices are connected.If you select At home, or Away from home,you can set your currentaddress as your home,and then choose what SoundProfile, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi doon the phone when you getthere and when you leave.So, for example, you cansilence the phone when you get home,turn on the Bluetooth toconnect to your speaker,and turn on Wi-Fi to connectto your home network all at once.In addition to that, you canalso select an app to openwhen you plug in the headphonesby selecting that option.For example, I have Spotify open,which is what I use for most of my musicwhenever I plug in the headphones.You can also select an app to opendepending on what Bluetoothdevice you connect.So, if you tap that option,it'll actually let you selectwhich Bluetooth device,and then whenever that is pairedor connected to the phone,it will automatically open said app.There you go, a coupleof quick hidden featureson the LG
