How to Jailbreak iOS 5 Gold Master Version

Everything Apple Pro here and on October 4th when Apple announced the iPhone 4S they did also release iOS 5, the gold master version which is pretty much the completed version just not the public release of iOS 5. If any of you guys loaded it up on your device and wanted to jailbreak it this video will show you guys how to jailbreak the iOS 5 gold master version on your iPhone 4, 3GS iPod touch 4th and third gens, and the original iPad.

For the iPhone 4, this goes for the GS M and CDMA models. This does work on both Mac and Windows, and this is a tether jailbreak so if your battery dies or you need to restart your iPhone or I device you will need a computer with Red Snow in order to restart your device. All right now you guys will need to download two things to your desktop and that's Red Snow 0.9.9 beta 3A as well as your 5.0 gold master firmware IPSW for your device. All links can be found Down Below in the description, as well as a written guide.

Once you guys have that downloaded, we're going to go to Red Snow. Right click on it if you guys are on Windows select run as administrator yes now we're going to select extras select ipsw and here find your 5.0 GM firmware click open okay back and now select jailbreak. It's going to patch the kernel real quick and we're going to get a little options screen. I'm not going to change anything just keep it the way it is. Click next and now we're going to put our device into dfu mode okay so we're going to go ahead and click next and I'm going to put my device into dfu mode without turning it off by holding power and home for 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 let go of the power button and keep holding the home button.

Red Snow will recognize your device and will begin jailbreaking and once it's done I'll be right back. Once your device restarts you will see Cydia on your springboard and it may be white and if you click on it it will C crash and that's perfectly normal. So what I'm about to show you guys is how to fix this and you will need to do this every single time you reboot or your battery dies. You're going to have to go into Red Snow open it up again run as administrator yes go to extras load the 5.0 GM firmware again click okay except this time you're going to click just Boot and again we're going to put our device into dfu mode so go ahead and do that.

Just going to click next hold power home for 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 let go of the power button and our device will restart soon with Cydia working. So I'll be right back you guys will see this little pineapple logo and that means it's working so your device will restart with a working Cydia momentarily once again your device will restart except this time Cydia will be colored and if you click on it it will work.
