1000HP Prelude ROARS Back To Life!

The Prelude Revival: A Journey to Bring Back a Beloved Car

This is its last hurrah that's it maybe they just give it up give it a blip a three Oh a little nothing's not coming off I saw it suck all the way down there's a little blip yeah that thing go man do that thing's not coming off oh shoot we forgot take it back off I guess we are getting close Amelia actually just got out of here cuz it is getting super late and he does have a pretty far drive but we're not stopping till we hear this thing run Tom and my lower hanging out till we hear this thing pops alright now we're getting ready to put oil in it we just got the timing belt stuff all done we actually took the timing belt tensioner that we had off of the old route a/c engine that was sitting over here because it had a way better tensioner set up on this had the KS tuned manual tensioner with a different setup that I just like way more that you can manually tighten the belt with so we swapped all that stuff over got rid of the old system that they had going on I had all these washers and stuff that I didn't really he know like I wanted to switch it over for a while since the mini man isn't using that H series anymore we swapped all that over everything's good to go we got the motor timed just add in the oil right now we pulled all of the spark plugs out of this thing because we're just going to crank it over some just to kind of prime it up make sure pressure is running through the engine and then once we know we have oil pressure and everything's good go ahead and crank this thing up and hear her run it's been like almost eight months I think since the prelude has ran so I'm excited to hear it again all right she has oil the jump box is hooked up first time she's been powered up and quite some time oh that sounds a little weak they let the jump box charge enough oh it's going going the oil pressure gauge is up here she's gonna need some more rpm to get that going that's how the ban was that we actually had to start it to see the gauge come up so we just cranked it over a little bit and everything sounds good didn't see any oil pressure on the gauge but it is turning over very slow so we're just going to go ahead and fire this thing up but the spark plugs and everything back in just make sure that the oil pressure does come up once it starts running make sure we're good there and listen to this thing purr

It's been a minute since the prelude was last heard, and it's clear that the team is excited to have her back online. The jump box powered up quickly, despite some initial concerns about its ability to charge the battery. Once the spark plugs were reinstalled and the oil pressure gauge began to show activity, the team knew they were on the right track. However, it soon became apparent that the engine needed a bit more time to warm up before the full range of its capabilities could be utilized.

The oil pressure gauge continued to climb as the engine revved up, but it was clear that there was still some work to be done. The team decided to fire her up and listen to the sound of her purring once again. It's a moment that has been long overdue for the prelude, and one that brings a sense of joy and accomplishment to those who have worked tirelessly to bring her back online.

The team took a step back to admire their handiwork as the prelude roared to life. The sound was music to their ears, and it's clear that they've missed it dearly. With the prelude finally running again, the team is now focused on getting her in top condition. A fresh set of spark plugs and an alternator belt are just a few of the upgrades on the agenda.

One major issue did arise during the process - water had gotten inside the car while it was sitting outside, causing damage to the engine. However, with the help of some power cleaners and a bit of elbow grease, the team was able to get her clean and back on the road. The prelude's exterior will also need some attention, as the fender has been badly damaged from a recent accident.

Despite the setbacks, the team remains optimistic about the prelude's chances of making it through the season. With their hard work and dedication, they're confident that she'll be able to hold her own on the track. As for now, though, they're just happy to have her back online and running smoothly once again.

A huge thanks to Milo and Tom for helping get her back up and running. They've been instrumental in bringing the prelude back from the dead, and we couldn't be more grateful. Todd has also been working on his CRX in the background, but we're excited to have the prelude back online so we can focus on capturing some great footage.

We'd like to give a shoutout to Amelia as well, who helped get things started with her expertise. It's clear that they've all worked together seamlessly to bring the prelude back to life. We can't wait to see what the future holds for this team and their beloved car.
