Building the Dream Garage - Saber Cabinet Install

The Garage Project: A Journey of Organization and Perfectionism

I'm sitting here with my newly organized garage, surrounded by my tools and equipment, and I have to say it's been a wild ride. From the moment I started, I knew it was going to be a challenge, but I was determined to get everything done. And boy, am I glad I did. The process was not without its hiccups, but in the end, it was all worth it.

The first step in organizing my garage was setting up a system for storage and organization. I decided to go with a cabinet set that would provide ample space for my tools and equipment. And let me tell you, these cabinets are top-notch. They're sturdy, well-made, and have everything I need to keep my garage tidy. The drawers all lock in place, making it easy to secure my belongings, and the shelves are adjustable, allowing me to customize the layout to fit my needs.

One of the things that really impressed me about this cabinet set was how much thought had gone into its design. Each component is carefully crafted to work together seamlessly, making it a joy to assemble. And because they're all built using the same nuts and bolts, it's easy for someone new to get started with organizing their garage. The fact that I can just follow along with the instructions and voila! My garage is now organized.

I also want to give a shout-out to some of the companies that helped make this project possible. MassHealth and Saver Cabinets were particularly impressive in their quality and affordability. And while it may not seem like it at first, having all my tools in one place has really made a difference. No longer can I waste time searching for lost screws or misplaced wrenches.

Of course, with great power comes great responsibility. As someone who loves to tinker and work on projects, having everything at my fingertips is a dream come true. And yet, the thrill of discovery that comes with exploring every nook and cranny of my garage has given way to more practical considerations. I find myself thinking about how I can use this newfound organization to improve my workflow and efficiency.

As for what's next, well, let's just say I've got a few tricks up my sleeve. The attic door is still in need of attention, and the electrical system needs some work. But for now, I'm content with the state of my garage. It may not be perfect – after all, there's always something that can be improved – but it's mine, and I'm proud of it.

The process of organizing my garage has been a journey of discovery, both physical and metaphorical. It's taught me the value of patience and persistence, as well as the importance of taking pride in one's work. And while it may have taken some time to get here, I know that this is just the beginning. The real fun starts now – putting everything into its new home and making sure it stays organized.

As I look around my newly organized garage, I'm struck by how much easier it feels to move about. The little touches of lighting and sound systems will add an extra layer of enjoyment to this space, but for now, the focus is on getting things done. And that's exactly what I've been doing – one box at a time.

One thing that's struck me as I work through my garage project is just how much of a difference it makes when everything has its own designated spot. No longer can I worry about misplaced items or wasted space. The cabinet set and shelves have given me the freedom to focus on more creative pursuits, like detailing and working on cars.

I've also come to appreciate the value of having a clear plan in place. With a system that's designed to be efficient and easy to use, it's easier to stay on track and avoid unnecessary detours. And while there will always be unexpected surprises along the way, I'm better equipped to handle them now.

Finally, I want to express my gratitude to those who have helped me through this journey – from Sebastien to the Avvo team, you've all been instrumental in making this project a success. It's not just about the tools and materials; it's about the people who make it happen. And as for Sebastian, well, let's just say I'm looking forward to seeing what other adventures we'll have together.

As I wrap up this article, I want to leave you with a sense of hope and possibility. Organizing your garage is not just about tidying up; it's about creating a space that inspires creativity and productivity. And with the right tools – or in this case, cabinet set – the possibilities are endless.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: entoday's the day that we are installing favorite cabinets in the garage I'm here with Matt Mormon from obsessed garage who's been helping me this whole time on the garage project easily the best day of any garage project getting a patent on bossing them on a wall with 60 all work is the flooring was pretty fun but this is going to like tie it all together now Matt's channels called obsessed garage in a self-obsessed garage for a reason he's like so particular about things and he goes through all the effort of trying a million different things like he's got 13 different exhaust on his gt3 to find one that he liked and he has favored cabinets in his garage so I kind of trusted him on them and that kind of pushed me to go with saber because they are literally like professional-grade but they're like a fifth of the cost of what you'd expect them to be we got dropped off the other day on three palette today we're going to start by doing the cabinets that go on the end that way we can kind of start from there and work our way in but they're all disassembled so we're going to have to put them together we've got some special surprise guests coming to help let's do it I think it should be fun it's been a while than I haven't hung out of it he's getting too big for me yeah up waiting go get it okay like suede or felt if I got plastic as I see them sweet aluminum so these ball bearings they feel really smooth yeah dang if I think these drawers rated for two pounds 250 pounds or as like a lipstick cabinet which is finally uncomfortable for conflict when we can perform foundlings or anyway so they're there almost there but not so we could literally stand in the drawer if we wanted to yeah we could do that I can you could well we'll wait and do that later good ol resourceful matt has the idea of reusing the pallet that they come on to kind of use as a floating deck so that way we can mount the cabinet to the wall and they won't be on the ground so that they'll kind of be like floating and the counter will be at a better height whole town stuff dudes coming out holy babies down I totally would have been the type of person that would do it with just a pallet and then be like crap how do I get the pallet out you wouldn't be able to but if the are the rubber flooring met from me present it's a stainless steel professional grade shop back so why didn't you end up so long it's sick I'm stoked on this thing he's come with quite a bit of hardware and it comes with instructions but thankfully matt has done this like how many times so we don't even need to instructionally so use this to make sure that this is going to be basing the back of the cabinet to make sure that they're flush this is going to go against here and now we're putting on the side piece and kind of doing on the ground versus while standing up to make it easier cabinet almost complete next step is building another one of these but it's the same exact process the first one so I'm just going to give the whole filming thing but we can do it very quickly I've actually novel showed up to give us a hand because otherwise this would probably take us three days drawers are out and that we used to dump them to the wall each one of these hands holds about 500 pounds and we've got about 12 of them so we should be good to about 6,000 pounds on the cabinet just solid because mine and park in the car on here so when we mounted the fans we Center them off the center of this garage door so we mounted a cabinet we centered them off the center of the door mounted one bolt of the side ones wallows on the pallet blasted them into the wall blast them into the wall and now we're shimming the last one putting it in please come back to quick we're making really good progress so one issue that we ran into is the fact that this look is behind the cabinet so we're going to try to cut it out that way we can mount the new shot back on the wall here and then just kind of run the wire through ordered some Kluber each for the guys got some fuel on the platter we're going to eat used like a green coat could you like $10 off whenever people are over howling I would like to join for food because food motivates people and it makes them happy what are you doing people hit all the time and say like they have like way more authentic tacos that are way better than these but I'm very happy with these they always taste good and they're cheap I had a clock going so long click one step up and talk about weird I was planning on coming over and helping but I guess he said you just wanted to pull out his motor real quick before you headed over here so just real quick real quick Matt's put me in charge of cutting the hole in this so what's the others turns out because I'm just going to use a hole saw bit it's working so well whatever I do this it just flings shards of hot metal of my arms and I hate it not bad Matt come on wow that's funny dang close yeah alright well alright maybe I gotta cut a little bit bigger it was close he's close yeah wait folks than I did when I can hole up here when I'm out of my arms begin to keep the hot metal away good enough garage stainless steel countertops about to go in I'm actually going to drill the hole higher so I can use both plugs if I ever need to and this is why you measure before you make hole not bad looks like a snowman put in the bucket to use all right so this is all bolted down big booths just showed up and he brought me some couplers so I can hold more boost and you actually did pull your motor today yeah just real quick before you came just real quick ah pretty quick barely play cool m3 right straight on that a36 till it was all m3 self-assess can you use your 46 coil overs on the new 36 yes really the rear just saying that strong has changed it's all packed on the e36 oh crap and bottom of the sets and followers penguin perfect like they're working on the upper cabinet I'm chewing the hinges washed dude real nice hello flush the flushes cabinet on this whole side of East Orlando so these hinges are kind of cool to align the door you can tighten it and it will pull it out where you can loosen action and I'll pull the door in apparently we all suck at aligning doors except for big booths big booth little hands little you boy Taylor just rolled up because he's bringing his Jaguar to store at the warehouse so he brought it dude everyone's here right now so you see the car me in the driveway Tommy actually like considering getting the house next door Tommy yeah Tommy Tommy yeah Tommy Tommy Tommy's in the house right now you know say hi to Tommy Tommy house dick would that be he's in the house you can come in yeah that Matt Taylor Taylor Matt Matt Marco Marco Matt Matt Lisa okay I didn't know I'm trying to be nice also really really good news Marco Silva's Miata and got a new car whoo what are the plans with the sedan G I'm sure daily it for now and then maybe do jiaying I didn't you know what you said that ha ha ha maybe we'll say clean all this up with a new shop that my students pretty much gone you have at yeah all right so if you want a way more detailed video on pretty much the whole install process like what we used in just a lot of little stuff that I don't include because I don't know just because I'm I don't but anyway Matt will have the video up on his channel about the whole entire install check them out obsessed garage yeah probably I would get people probably to agree yet so I'll chop it up a little bit where we go to all the details every screw and every part we put it ok but for now they're done so I can start putting everything in here it's going to be so weird not having everything on my floor I'm super super happy though super thankful for all MassHealth super thankful for saver cabinets a huge thank you to those guys they make an awesome product at like a ridiculously low cost they get a big boost thank you didn't Avvo and thingy to Sebastian you don't really need a lot of people for something like this it's not that hard it's is very time consuming so I think a lot of people help speed up the process so we got it done in what about 6 hours I'd say seven did you account for our food break No yep yeah and they look awesome they're very very sturdy they are not going to fall down just letting you guys know all the drawers have locks they have like a little bit of a salt liner and I'm ball-bearing they're really really really nice quality all this locks to all the shelf space you can put them wherever you want and one of my favorite things about it it's pretty much all the cabinets are assembled the same way using the same nuts and bolts so it's very very very easy if you have no idea what you're doing because once you do it once they're all literally identically the same Sebastien's with a really really clean SR almost looks as good as mine your cabinets if the cabinets can hold that much weight they can hold anything the Basking weighs like 400 pounds okay did you cut yourself again precision cut well I mean I don't think you're meant to be climbing up on them and in the defense of the cabinet so this is where my boost was going during the event the manifold gets really hot and then I guess the pressure just causes the hole I'll go to another just head out so grateful for them and everyone who helped out today and that's like so much to me and made the whole process so much easier more fun just for reference I pulled the three cars in the garage so you could see that there's still a lot of room thankfully the mini super super short the BMW a little bit closer but I mean I could be a little bit closer to the garage door if you look there's still a little bit of room here but I think that's like a good comfortable amount of walking room so it's nice like the cabinets are sick I'm really excited to start putting on my stuff in I started putting some of my detailing stuff in and I've already got some of my tools out it's going to be still nice to have like a little bench that I can work on some knots with counseling leaving stuff on the floor got the crazy cards over in the corner now it's time to go eat some dinner and ten percent of the coal food gold we don't showcases enough by having a lift up table where we can do this I didn't have it as like eating height so we can watch TV what we eat is amazing one thing I really didn't mentioned but I guess I just thought would kind of be self-explanatory is that this cabinet set is going to kind of act as my tool chest there's no real need for like a nice tool chest when that's essentially what this is going to become but mind you I have all the cabinet space now and I have this itty bitty box of tools so that's one of my big things is going to be getting a nice set of tools I'll probably end up using something together just get everything that I actually wanted we'll use but that's high on the list and other stuff that I want to do to the garage like the stuff that's still remaining putting the reinforcements place on the list putting an extra row of lighting finishing the attic door and making it look pretty that we put in coming up with some sort of sound system insulating the garage door and the attic and then maybe just maybe I'll do a mini split air conditioning system in here we'll see that will wait till summer when it's necessary I have a lot of stuff left but I still need to organize and put in the cabinet's but because I'm running a day behind on the YouTube videos I kind of have a buffer day to get that type of stuff done thank you guys so much for watching these videos the garage project is awesome and it's something that I would probably do but the fact that I can share it with you guys and it creates content that you guys enjoy it's just like icing on the cake and it gives me motivation to get stuff done faster and it makes me happier and you guys enjoy it and man is it fun I'm excited to finish the garage but at the same time will it ever be finished I'll see you guys tomorrow with a rather interesting video and let's just say there's a lot of boost involved later guys when you say let's love me backtoday's the day that we are installing favorite cabinets in the garage I'm here with Matt Mormon from obsessed garage who's been helping
