**Car Wrapping Progress**

We've made some progress on our car wrapping project, focusing on the fenders and fiberglass parts. However, we're still debating whether or not to swap out my front core. Since the bumper doesn't fit properly, we might try swapping it out for a better fit. We also had a leftover LED kit from one of our previous cars, which will be repurposed for this project.

**Underglow and Lighting**

To add some extra flair to our car's appearance, we've decided to install underglow for the first time in years. As part of this process, we've recognized that we need to find a new bumper that fits better than the current one. We'll mix and match parts to create a unique look that enhances the front end.

**New Wing and Trunk Wing**

We're excited to showcase our brand-new DMS wing on our S15, which looks stunning in person! We've also found an extra trunk wing from our FD car, which will be repainted before being installed. This addition will add some much-needed flair to the rear of our car.

**The First Car Start**

With the help of Mike and Yohan, we were able to complete the first start-up process of our new S15. We've checked for any leaks and ensured that everything is functioning properly, including fuel pressure, oil pressure, and more. Since the motor turns over easily, it's clear that the engine is healthy.

**Bed-In Procedure**

To ensure that the rings are properly seated in the engine, we'll be conducting a bed-in procedure on the dyno tomorrow morning. This process involves varying loads to help settle the rings, which will give us a better understanding of the engine's performance. We're looking forward to seeing how it runs and making any necessary adjustments.

**The Car's Condition**

After being damaged in an accident, our S15 needed significant repairs before we could start working on it again. The good news is that all the damage has been fixed, including a scratched door and ripped fender. With this setback behind us, we're now focusing on bringing out the best performance from this car.

**Tuning Plans**

We've decided to wire in additional sensors for better monitoring and control of our S15's systems. We'll be using an older Health Tech ECU that came with another car, which Martin has experience tuning. This setup will give us more flexibility and insights into the engine's performance, allowing us to make adjustments as needed.

**The Next Steps**

home over say like a two-car enclosed trailer just because you have to travel so much slower and it's so much harder to get around if you're trying to like park at a hotel or something the blitz cleaning that crank how much debris can get stuck inside of it yeah it was bad a lot of like old oil build up so not necessarily bad thing it's just like it never got clean one of the journals or the channels on the oil passage it had like aluminum in it and obviously it's kind of an obvious thing that you should take apart and clean an engine when it blows up or has some sort of catastrophic failure but i had no idea that so much metal could get lodged inside of a tiny little hole in the crank and that would make sense why there were some weird kind of scoring patterns on the bearings because all this was flying out of the crank at the same time tools like what happened to the engine is not even related to anything that we found when we were cleaning it it was more like something freak happened fell in the engine and messed it up but i said that would not happen then eventually all that metal or that aluminum that i found on the crank it would have gone through the system and eventually like just damaged the bearing so it's kind of a good thing that that happened and forced us to take apart the engine in a way yeah otherwise we probably would have had an issue farther down the road so it's better now that we'll be starting fresh we got the block back we were looking online for bearing clearances of the nissan uh fsm book so like oem clearances i measure the crank and it's over two inches and therefore every inch of the size of the journals or the crank on the mains it requires thousands of uh oil clearances and when we use the plastic gauge we don't have the other the better tools to do this it puts us right at 2 000 reading on the crank so like you put that down and then you measure each one and then it gives us the clearance so now that we got that square away we could i mean take it all out again clean all the bearings all that stuff it has assembly lube on it and i want to just start fresh because i took on and off the caps multiple times to make sure that the clearances were good and that requires each time to torque everything down remove it so if something does or something fell on it i want it to be clean for final assembly foreign well hello there it's honestly great that uh the weather's been nice out for the past two days we've had no internet it came back but it's like such a tease because we have i think it's a half a megabyte per second down and like uh maybe like a third of a megabyte per second up so it's basically useless when we have like 20 people trying to use the same wi-fi so our new office has been outside using phone with what very little cell phone service we have so if i haven't responded to your email please don't be mad at me blame the compound we're doing the rods now bit one and four uh just to show you this is three i mean two and three so this best calls for two thousands or four thousands uh and we are in the middle at three thousands we all spend that over on both this one's kind of effie because i wanna move the rod took the cap off i spun it so that's why it looks weird so now i'll clean that off put some assembly lube on it work this down spin the motor make sure everything is happy and uh made look through here and make sure nothing fell in and then we could start assembling the rest of the motor put the head on the gasket front cover all that stuff on there one of the things that always drove me nuts about this car when you look at it from an angle even though this wrap came out amazing and like the finish is really good on it you see all the waves from the fiberglass panel so ray is going to come by tomorrow and he's actually going to do a little bit more intensive body work to both the rear quarters and then these doors um so hopefully it won't have all the waves in them the color that it's going to be hopefully won't show the waves as much but it certainly will be a lot better than it was this car for being a rapid car kind of changed my mind about rap cars just because it came out so good and it's lasted so long so i'm really excited to see what the new color is going to look like so i've already peeled the wrap off of a couple things with this i think i lucked out because this is actually like cheap china vinyl and it actually came off really easy on the other stuff so hopefully that's the case with this as well i've seen some people not have fun
