The Zone of Tech: Exploring the New Voice Memos App in iOS 7 Beta 2

Hello everyone and welcome to The Zone of Tech! I'm Daniel, and today we're going to take a look at the new Voice Memos app in iOS 7 beta 2. If you don't know how to install iOS 7 beta 2 on your iOS device, no worries! Just click the notation above, and you'll be taken to my previous video on installing iOS 7 beta 2.

Now, let's dive into the new Voice Memos app. The first change we notice is the icon. It looks quite different from what it did in iOS 6. But the most important change is when launching the app for the first time. As you can see, the interface has been completely changed. We're excited to explore this new feature and see what changes have been made.

To start recording a voice memo, we need to focus with the camera because, for some reason, our colors aren't showing up. Let me just focus now and record something. Hello, this is just a test of the new Voice Memos app in iOS 7 beta 2. As you can see, the interface has been revamped, and it's quite sleek.

One of the coolest features of this new app is that you can name your voice memo after recording it. This was not possible in iOS 6, so we're really excited about this addition. Let me just click on "done" and name this test. Ah, now this menu has appeared, and it's easy to use.

We also notice that the speaker is now available as an option for playback. You can switch between the speaker and your headset to listen to your recordings. I'll just put on my headset now and listen to our recording. Yes, you can hear us clearly!

Now, let's take a closer look at the editing options in this new app. We have a menu that allows us to trim or crop our recording. However, it's called trimming, not cropping, because cropping is typically used for photos. So, this feature is exclusive to voice recordings.

As we scroll through the list of all our recorded voicememos, we can see that they're organized neatly and easily accessible. We can even share them via email, iMessage, or message, which is a great feature. However, unfortunately, Airdrop doesn't work on the iPhone 4S, so we won't be able to share our recordings that way.

Finally, we have the recycle bin option, which deletes the voicememo from our list. This is a convenient feature for when you're done with a recording and want to move on to something new.
