SONY WF-1000X Wireless In Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones Unboxing First Look

**Unboxing and First Impressions of Sony WF 1000x Wireless Earphones**

The Sony WF 1000x wireless earphones have arrived, and we're excited to take a closer look at these sleek and feature-packed earbuds. As soon as we unwrapped the packaging, it was clear that Sony has put a lot of thought into the design and build quality of these earphones. The aluminum case just under the headphones is a nice touch, along with additional ear tips and sony's been really kind with these headphones, providing several ear tips inside the box - two sets of small, medium, and large. We also find the charging cable and user manual in the box to complete the unboxing experience.

In terms of design, these wireless earphones are one of the better-looking and better-designed options we've seen recently. They're completely wireless, meaning they aren't interconnected with a cable apart from the build quality in the design and that nice LED light that both earpieces have. Sony's also added noise cancellation to these wireless earphones, which is something that many manufacturers haven't offered in the past. This feature is something we're really keen to look at. The earbuds are relatively lightweight and offer upwards of three hours of battery life, with the included case also acting as a charging case for these earphones, providing up to nine hours of usage.

The left earbud has the power button, which is also the button to turn on or off noise cancellation, while the right earbud has the control button, allowing you to play, pause music, skip tracks, or go back to previous tracks. On both earbuds, you can see the charging connectors as well. The left earbud has a secure fit, and using the additional ear tips, you can swap out the tips with the size that fits you best. Two sets of ear tips along with additional ear hooks are available inside the box, in two colors: black silvery color and a really nice gold color that also looks premium.

The charge and carry case of the Sony WF 1000x is made of hard anodized aluminum, looking really nice and extremely premium. It's also compact, making it easy to throw into your bag every time you take them with you. What's interesting about this case is that you don't need to close the lid to charge the earphones up; simply plug in the earphones, and a small clip will hold them in place, starting to charge them as soon as they're inside.

**Noise Cancellation and Additional Features**

The WF 1000x do have noise cancellation on by default, but if you connect with the Sony headphones' Connect app, you get several other controls and features at your disposal. You can turn on adaptive sound control, which will automatically change the sound requirement depending on where you are. You also have control over noise cancellation, allowing you to have ambient sound on in voice mode or in normal mode.

You also have a full-fledged equalizer with presets, and then you also have a sound quality mode, similar to that of bigger headphones we've checked out. If you're close by to your Bluetooth source, you can prioritize sound quality, but if you need longer range from the headphone, you can choose a stable connection, which may result in decreased sound quality.

**Comfort and Sound Quality**

Once we put on the right size of ear tips, we found these earphones to be really comfortable. You can wear them in your ear for long periods without any issues. From our initial tests, we found that sound quality is impressive and you do have a good amount of low end as well. If you like deep bass, these headphones will provide it without an issue.

We also liked the noise cancellation feature, which works really well to our advantage. Many people might not like this feature, but we found it to be really useful. It gives about 2.5 to 3 hours of music playback continuously, which is not bad and even good enough for a simple workout session.

**Conclusion**

All in all, we're enjoying these headphones. If you have any queries or questions, feel free to drop them in the comment section below.
