spill more tea and today it is my six year wedding anniversary with ryan so i thought it would be fun to spill some more tea on our relationship on our marriage i'm gonna do some random cleaning projects i've been meaning to get to around the house and we'll chat a little more as i clean so today is our six year wedding anniversary but here's the real t okay we almost did make it to two after carter was born i had very severe postpartum anxiety probably postpartum depression as well i was not sleeping carter had colic and i just felt that i was unsupported ryan's life and routine and schedule did not change much he was still going to the gym he had a nine-to-five job so he was prioritizing his sleep while i was up all night long i had so much resentment and anger towards him at that time i'm actually surprised we made it through but we did at the time i put a lot of the blame on him but now looking back i can say that a lot of it is my fault because i didn't really communicate my needs i just kind of assumed that he would know and also let's be real there is nothing more intense than those postpartum hormones oh my gosh that is not talked about enough so i am very glad to say we weathered the storm we made it through and just in general like having small kids is really hard on a marriage and i just don't think that is talked about enough so that's just why i want to be open about that second time around he was the most helpful like dramatic 180 turn around i get so many comments saying that capri looks like carter but with pigtails and to be honest i see it you guys we have another fashion situation i thought the worst was over how much worse could it really get he's outdone himself he has outdone himself so i think this calls for another bad fashion show oh my dear lord ryan really thinks these look good i'm making it work so tell me like the thought process here my process was going to cabo and uh you know i just thought these said cabba they definitely say something okay wait wait you're not seeing the vision we're in cabo we're out on the beach it's beautiful i'm sipping my ties there's a little beautiful umbrella in my drink the breeze is in my pink hat like that guy knows how to vacation this is the worst part he wants me to be seen with him in public wearing this and he is not kidding he thinks this looks good you're welcome i don't even think it's a contest but the only article of clothing that i have that could even compete with this are these jeans of mine that ryan doesn't like he thinks they look frumpy dumpy but we'll just just for the record you guys can vote which is worse my frumpy dumpy mom jeans or this first little random cleaning project i wanted to get to while we chat is cleaning the cabinet doors now that i can see 2020 hd with my contacts i notice that there's little fingerprints and scuffs all over these cabinet doors and i want to keep them clean so to clean them i just have dawn dish soap with some warm water we want to be very gentle this is fresh new paint wait wait i didn't show you this look at my anniversary flowers are these not stunning so first topic i want to discuss i have mentioned but i've never really gone into it that ryan and i never had a wedding we got married at the courthouse and i just wanted to speak on this and normalize it because i think in our society there is a lot of pressure expectation to have a big expensive wedding and look if that's what you want to do then by all means do it i never ever wanted to do that i do not like being the center of attention despite the fact that i'm a youtuber so i never even wanted a wedding anyway but this was also the time in our life where we were looking to buy a house and we had a certain amount of money saved up that we could have allocated towards a wedding or towards the down payment on a house and when i say we had money saved up oh no that was all ryan's money i had exactly like 15 to my name okay and so i'm like look let's just take all the money that we would have spent on a wedding split towards the down payment of the house so that is how we got this house in five years time our house has doubled in value literally doubled in value so that is what i call an investment no regrets oh these are looking good this also applies to children's birthday parties i feel like there is this pressure and expectation to have these over the top expensive parties for your kids and again if that's what you want to do then do it but if that's not your style don't feel pressure not my style not my vibe i like to keep it low-key and that is just fine moral of the story don't let society pressure you into doing things that you just do not want to do cannot afford to do like whatever it is i just felt the need to say that okay so now this is the real sexy part of marriage where i do ryan's eyebrows he's got some luscious brows and it is a part-time job keeping them maintained oh my goodness it's like deforested deforestation one time i did this and i made a wrong move and i took off half this brow yeah but then it was kind of cool but then it looked kind of cool it looked like it was intentional so i just went with it ryan's a little bit in the doghouse because everything was going well on our anniversary until he gave me the world's worst least romantic card it was like it was a card at least it was it was it would have been better if you didn't get a card we'll let the flowers cancel out the card note to self never half past writing a card ryan just lost five pounds of brown hair there's no gravity anymore holding me down the next little bit of tea is that it wasn't always smooth sailing okay ryan and i broke up early in our relationship because when i first met him he was just retiring from his crazy party phase his friends used to refer to him as party pants yeah he assured me he was ready to retire and settle down but he started kind of getting into like partying quite a lot and i just didn't think he was serious so we did split for about one to two months but we missed each other too much and we got back together and from that point forward he really did button it up you know what i mean i know he's a family man he's a dad and uh not only that he's like such a dad boom okay i am cooking now and i wanted to try out this new kitchen gadget it's supposed to help you chop onions i'm making this hello fresh meal no not an ad this is actually what i make for dinner almost every night first and foremost my favorite onion cutting hack is to get a damp paper towel put that down on the cutting board and you won't have those tears going according to the instagram ad take your wolverine cloth and you just poke it in to your onion oh i think i went too far oh no you put your knife through the slots and get perfect easy onion cut i don't know about this okay okay i mean look we're slicing we just have to see what we end up with so as i'm slicing i thought i would address a comment that i got just a couple people left this comment about ryan working with me asking if he's going to be emasculated now that he's working with me first of all first thing i have to say normalize working moms secondly it's not like he's my personal assistant or anything like that he is working on starting two businesses from the ground up so that is very fulfilling work for him and that's what he's always wanted to do oh my gosh what what in the world i have a mangled onion on my hands oh now i have even slices they're all different shapes and sizes the problem is they are all different shapes and sizes and i don't even know how that happened okay it definitely could have been user error now i'm making my own little diy cropped sweatshirt this sweatshirt went viral because it's super soft and it's only 10 bucks oh my gosh this is really soft i'm gonna make it a little crop sweatshirt like a longer crop just because the full-size sweatshirts make me look like a marshmallow this thing right here i love so much it's like a little pizza cutter for your clothes and it just makes it very easy to slice and dice and customize your clothes anyway so the topic as i'm cutting up the sweatshirt is birth control yes let's talk about it guys because i'm having some issues i am very very sensitive to all medication all hormones things like that so i've tried a few different types of birth control and they just do not agree with me that is why i want ryan to get but he's hesitating so in the meantime i need to figure something out but i have a few girlfriends who have done an iud and they've had a good experience but then i had one friend with a very bad experience so i'm kind of scared of doing that one i just feel like look i've done enough i have done enough it is your turn all right let's see oh okay cute okay i like this for 10 bucks actually i think it was eight dollars very exciting late breaking news we have decided to take a spontaneous trip to disneyland tomorrow capri is not going to be coming this time just because she's only 12 months old and she still naps twice a day and does not nap on the go very well so i just think it would be a struggle for her plus she's too young to remember so we'll go back with her another time we only live about an hour and a half away from disneyland made it to disneyland um so it took about two hours door-to-door and then there was a pretty long line just to get in but we made it we just took some pictures from one to ten one to ten ten oh we got a ten now heading to the park yay all right here we are on main street this is supposed to be a non-busy tuesday afternoon with the crowd level one out of ten and it still looks pretty crowded you see all the halloween decorations are up i want a picture in front of that though and then we can go in okay the first thing carter wanted to do was pick out a treat he's very excited for the treats which one are you thinking about well those are apples you want a candy apple those are a little hard to eat maybe that's easier to eat or a cookie look at the cookies cookies a purple cookie so far so good it is a bit more crowded than i was expecting we just did two pictures with the family because i like to get pictures taken out of the way early what did you get buddy try it here's the castle last time i was here they were refurbishing it honestly this weather is perfect not too sunny not too hot first ride we're gonna hit up the tea cups i bet this is making you dizzy up next is small world some people love it some people hate it again but you know what we like it it's a nice relaxing boat ride nice classic it's aladdin what did you think of mr toad's wild ride a little scary but was it a little fun too a little bit fun was it more fun or more scary more scary we are hitting up the gift shop they have all the halloween stuff out so i really want to get one of these shirts but i need to pick the color i want maybe i do a lavender or do i do a classic black and white it's a tough ore oh this is cute the pros is that the weather is really good the con it's insanely crowded this is the sense for how crowded everything is it's so crazy we're sitting down for lunch now i got a corn chowder bread bowl carter got pasta daddy got chicken this is the french market cafe how's daddy doing oh i'm doing awesome this weather is fantastic i love it i'm not sure perfect weather i'm not there's not sun in my eyes i'm not like you know drenched in sweat yeah if we would have come two days later it would have been 95. so we ran oh my goodness yes nice to be here look what carter got this is the highlight of his day i'm sure what did carter get oh he got his own balloon so i think we're heading out now this was a fantastic day and disney was a little crowded but beautiful weather and carter had a blast and we have our balloon we're gonna get a couple treats and uh maybe even a shirt or two and head on out
