A Little Alice in Wonderland Surprise

My sister recently surprised me with some adorable gifts that fit perfectly with my love for Alice in Wonderland. Among them, I was thrilled to receive little Alice in Wonderland magnetic bookmarks. They are so cute and feature various characters from the story. The attention to detail is impressive, making each bookmark a delightful addition to any book lover's collection.

I was also delighted to find out that she got me two little flags featuring some of my favorite characters from the series. The flags showcase all the beloved characters from Alice in Wonderland, including Fox the Phoenix and Buckbeak. I'm absolutely over the moon with these gifts and can't wait to display them proudly. My sister had a good sense of humor when hinting at which gifts she wanted me to receive, dropping subtle hints throughout our conversations.

Buckbeak, in particular, holds a special place in my heart as one of the most adorable characters in the series. I'm thrilled that I now have his lovely flag to add to my collection. My sister's thoughtfulness and sense of humor make this gift even more special. It's clear that she put effort into selecting items that would bring joy to me.

My sister also mentioned that she had a few other gifts lined up, including some surprise goodies from the American market. She graciously allowed me to take advantage of her address for some of these purchases. I'm excited to receive and explore these new additions, which will undoubtedly enrich my Alice in Wonderland-themed world.

Other Recent Acquisitions

In addition to the Alice in Wonderland gifts, I recently went shopping with my sister and mom for Christmas treats. We started by visiting work, where they had a Black Friday sale going on. I picked up a 360 Bluetooth speaker, which I'm still deciding whether or not to keep. It's an interesting purchase, but I might end up returning it.

Next, we visited the store and found some lovely items, including a pin featuring a snowy owl with Hedwig in mind. I've been eyeing this pillow for ages, so it was a wonderful surprise. The design is adorable, and I'm obsessed with it already.

For lighting purposes, I picked up a couple of sets of string lights that I had seen online before. While I didn't get to open one yet, I love the way they look. They're colorful, pretty, and would add a nice ambiance to any room. The LED lights are also energy-efficient and will provide good value.

Finally, we found a Buffalo check scarf with an eye patch that I couldn't resist buying. It's not just for men; I can wear it as well, and I'm excited to incorporate it into my wardrobe. My sister joked about the initial struggle to say "Buffalo" correctly, but this gift is going to bring a smile to my face.

Black Friday Shopping

To cap off our shopping trip, we also did some online browsing on Black Friday weekend. I placed an order with Book Outlet, which included both gifts and personal items for friends. Most of the gifts were intended for others, but there were a few surprises up my sleeve as well.

Before wrapping up this week's reading vlog post, I want to mention that it was a bit quiet due to my busy schedule. My sister is home visiting me, and I was working long hours during Black Friday weekend. Editing book miss videos consumed most of my time, leaving little room for reading or recording. However, I'm excited to get back on track soon.

NaNoWriMo Update

As some might know, I attempted NaNoWriMo this year, although it didn't go as smoothly as anticipated. After careful consideration, I decided that completing the 50,000-word goal wasn't necessary for me. Instead, I focused on enjoying the process and making progress without putting too much pressure on myself.

I'm pleased with how my story is shaping up, and I'm excited to continue working on it over the next few weeks. My birthday is approaching, which will be celebrated during this time, and I hope to have a more relaxed schedule for recording reading vlogs.

stops and this person had emailed me about it oh she sent me three oh my god that's so nice oh this is so nice thank you so much Katie's so she told me to give one to a friend family or co-worker that also loves John in his books and I know exactly who I'm going to give it to actually a couple of people I'm gonna give it to that's so awesome thank you so much I dropped one on the floor now I was gonna attack it don't do that these are seriously the cutest things ever I love them and I cannot wait to put them on my bookshelf and you can see on the little footage sign twitches BALCO alright next I have a package that I don't know if I know what this is I bought myself a NaNoWriMo superpowered novel in 2017 t-shirt and they also pre-ordered the winners shirt so now I basically have to win NaNoWriMo next package here is a used thing from Amazon I'm very apprehensive about it because I don't know if it's actually going to be what I wanted oh it is Wow but it's a hardcover edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in the original UK cover I'm very excited about that because I had wanted to start collecting these editions in the hard covers so I'm super happy that I was able to find this one and it wasn't very expensive at all and I thought honestly that I was going to end up with like the remade covers or the u.s. covers but I wanted the UK ones because these are the ones that we got in Canada and I like that it's Philosopher's and not sorcery but this lake is actually legit which is awesome and the final package is from penguin Random House and that is which would buy to her mafia this was actually a finished copy I was expecting an arc but this is the companion to furthermore by Tahereh Mafi which is her other middle grade novel and this one is beautiful this is going to be perfect for winter I mean like just look at that cover and it has like snowflakes on it so I'm definitely going to be trying to read this very soon it sounds amazing so those are all the things that I got now I'm going to probably go and continue my nap but I also want to decide on what am I actually going to read is that time of year again it is time to decorate for book myths so for those of you who don't know a book miss and as a book miss is 12 days straight of videos that I do leading up to Christmas this year it's actually going to extend beyond the 12 days but 12 days or like the main part of it but because Christmas is such a busy season I always pre film all the videos and then have them uploading and then I'm more so interaction like Twitter and comments and stuff but everything else is free foam just because it's easier for me so because that book miss really is a November thing for me which is kind of funny but I have my peppermint hot chocolate candy cane hot chocolate from Tim Hortons I don't know why they changed the name of it and then I have a ton of decorations I'd buy a nice tree this year so I have a little mini tree I got some bows and tinsel and stuff I've got some lights and I have ornaments to decorate the tree with besides that I can change the color of my lights so then they are red and green there we go so it is officially book miss for me even though it won't be for a while for you I'm gonna keep this egg white though because it's better lighting why I'm going to be watching office Christmas party and I'm going to do a time-lapse of me decorating I don't know how long it will last but in my last reading blog I did some time lapses and you guys really liked it so I will be doing more time lapses because popular demand so let's decorate also I'm wearing my Christmas pajamas because I feel like that's the only decorating attire so let's do this my room is like a festive mess right now so I have Christmas stuff everywhere because this morning my friend Zoey came over and we filmed two book miss videos and then I ended up filming three more two more I filmed the intro for one because most of it was filmed yesterday and then I definitely filmed two so three I did three book miss videos so I now have five book miss videos done which is exciting now I have to edit them all and then I still have 13 more to go so the next little bit is definitely going to just the book miss but tomorrow my sister is coming home for American Thanksgiving so the next three days I'm not going to be probably vlogging a lot just because I don't really want to but I'm gonna still try and make vlogs as interesting as possible I still haven't picked up a book yeah and that's because I mean I've been really busy but also I don't know if I want to really pick up a book I think I want to focus on my writing and I think that's going to be hard as it is with having my sister home so we'll see Ono was gonna happen but I definitely know I need to clean my room so I'm gonna do that hello and happy Wednesday so it's kind of hard to believe that it's Wednesday because it really feels like a Friday or a Saturday but it is indeed a Wednesday and today I spend all day in the car because we went to go and pick up my sister she is down because she works in the state so she has American Thanksgiving up but because she lives in the States I shipped some stuff to her so I have a haul for you guys so first of all I got a few books from Barnes & Noble so the first one is Matilda by Roald Dahl this is the puffin children's classics edition and I actually don't have any of these editions but I really liked it for Matilda so I decided to pick it up and then of course I couldn't order from Byrnes noble without getting a couple of the classics editions so the first one that I got is Hans Christian Andersen's of fairy tales and I'm very excited to have a copy of this to match my Grimm's fairy tales one oh this one is really pretty on papers too like the other one gorgeous and then the other one that I got is fairy tales from around the world and this is a collection by Andrew Lang so this is once again super super pretty and on the back it says once upon a time and then it has n papers that are kind of like the SAP's fables one but still very nice and I like the fact that they have illustrations and stuff too then I actually shipped if you pop dolls to her and that was solely because I really wanted to get this one this is the hot topic exclusive Queen of Hearts and they just came out with this this past summer and I wasn't able to find it in any Hot Topic so then I found it on Amazon and it was only in the States so I ended up shipping it to her and she is so cute so then to get free shipping I ended up getting two others so I got the little who is absolutely adorable I adore him and then I also got Wonder Woman because I felt like it would look amazing with my Wonder Woman more bring her books and then my birthday is actually coming up its next week which is crazy to me because it feels like it is still a really long time away but my birthday's next week so she ended up giving me my birthday present since she's down so she got me these little bookmarks from Barnes & Noble which I actually had already bought myself but I'm not even mad about it because they are so cute they're a little Alice in Wonderland magnetic bookmarks and they are so cute then she also got me these little Alice in Wonderland Flags which are amazing so they have all of the different characters from Alice fallen quite a bit behind again so I really need to get caught up on that I'm gonna go and do stuff hello I went shopping so today we went Christmas shopping my sister my mom and I and I went into my work because we had a sale going on for Black Friday it started today it's Thursday so the first thing that I got is a little speaker this I'm kind of undecided on actually but it is a 360 Bluetooth speaker I don't have a Bluetooth speaker and I felt like this would be fun by honestly I might return it I don't know I'm very undecided about it I kind of made a rash decision with that one because I vlogs as interesting as possible I still haven't picked up a book yeah and that's because I mean I've been really busy but also I don't know if I want to really pick up a book I think I want to focus on my writing and I think that's going to be hard as it is with having my sister home so we'll see Ono was gonna happen but I definitely know I need to clean my room so I'm gonna do that hello and happy Wednesday so it's kind of hard to believe that it's Wednesday because it really feels like a Friday or a Saturday but it is indeed a Wednesday and today I spend all day in the car because we went to go and pick up my sister she is down because she works in the state so she has American Thanksgiving up but because she lives in the States I shipped some stuff to her so I have a haul for you guys so first of all I got a few books from Barnes & Noble so the first one is Matilda by Roald Dahl this is the puffin children's classics edition and I actually don't have any of these editions but I really liked it for Matilda so I decided to pick it up and then of course I couldn't order from Byrnes noble without getting a couple of the classics editions so the first one that I got is Hans Christian Andersen's of fairy tales and I'm very excited to have a copy of this to match my Grimm's fairy tales one oh this one is really pretty on papers too like the other one gorgeous and then the other one that I got is fairy tales from around the world and this is a collection by Andrew Lang so this is once again super super pretty and on the back it says once upon a time and then it has n papers that are kind of like the SAP's fables one but still very nice and I like the fact that they have illustrations and stuff too then I actually shipped if you pop dolls to her and that was solely because I really wanted to get this one this is the hot topic exclusive Queen of Hearts and they just came out with this this past summer and I wasn't able to find it in any Hot Topic so then I found it on Amazon and it was only in the States so I ended up shipping it to her and she is so cute so then to get free shipping I ended up getting two others so I got the little who is absolutely adorable I adore him and then I also got Wonder Woman because I felt like it would look amazing with my Wonder Woman more bring her books and then my birthday is actually coming up its next week which is crazy to me because it feels like it is still a really long time away but my birthday's next week so she ended up giving me my birthday present since she's down so she got me these little bookmarks from Barnes & Noble which I actually had already bought myself but I'm not even mad about it because they are so cute they're a little Alice in Wonderland magnetic bookmarks and they are so cute then she also got me these little Alice in Wonderland Flags which are amazing so they have all of the different characters from Alice in Wonderland on there there you go so that's actually focus so you can see it they're so cute and then the final she thinks that she got me I dropped a not so subtle hint for so first of all is the Phoenix who is so cute he's kind of falling and his stand but I absolutely love Fox the Phoenix and I am very happy with this and then the other one that she got me is Buckbeak who you guys know that I really love I think Buckbeak is just the cutest thing in the entire world so I'm so happy that I have him I've gotten so much Harry Potter stuff lately that I'm honestly going to need like a separate Harry Potter shelf I'm feeling like so those are all the things that I got thank you to her for the gifts and then also thank you to her for letting me take advantage of her American address but I'm going to go and continue editing for book miss I've actually already gotten two or three videos edited which is very exciting so things are going great except with writing writing I have fallen quite a bit behind again so I really need to get caught up on that I'm gonna go and do stuff hello I went shopping so today we went Christmas shopping my sister my mom and I and I went into my work because we had a sale going on for Black Friday it started today it's Thursday so the first thing that I got is a little speaker this I'm kind of undecided on actually but it is a 360 Bluetooth speaker I don't have a Bluetooth speaker and I felt like this would be fun by honestly I might return it I don't know I'm very undecided about it I kind of made a rash decision with that one because I was like I don't have one that could be fun but then I also ordered a shower Bluetooth sneaker I don't really know yet but anyways the next thing that I got is a pin though I love this pillow I have been eyeing it forever because it's got a little snowy owl on it who looks like Hedwig and it says my weekend is all booked so this is just adorable and I'm quite obsessed with it and then I also got this little dude right here he is a little ornament who I have loved because he's just literally a ball of fluff so I had to get next bag I got a couple sets of these lights I already opened this one but I love these lights a lot so they are so pretty I'll show you the try me button like look at how pretty they are I don't know where they're going to go in my room yeah but I'm super happy that I have them because they are so pretty and then the final one that I got is this Buffalo check one eye I don't know why I struggled to say Buffalo so much but this is actually supposed to be a men's scarf but like you know what I can wear it it doesn't even matter so yeah that's all the things that I got for Black Friday I plan on tomorrow probably doing some online shopping I actually placed a little bit of a book outlet order as well most of the order is gifts but some of it is not so I'm excited to see when that comes in but now I'm probably going to do some more online shopping because I can't be stopped hello so I'm quickly wrapping up this week's reading blog I'm sorry that there wasn't a lot going on in the speech reading vlog I have been crazy busy this week so my sister is home and I just didn't really vlog that entire time because I didn't have a lot of time to spend with her so I just didn't and then I was working the entire weekend because it was Black Friday weekend so I was working like crazy hours and then I have just been editing book miss stuff this entire week so that's really all I've been doing so there wasn't much to vlog so then I just didn't really vlog I didn't read anything and I also have kind of I haven't given up on NaNoWriMo it's just done for me just because I want to enjoy this next week I want will not really enjoy it but I want to be able to focus on book miss and getting that stuff done so I've decided that I feel like I was a winner for NaNoWriMo so that's good enough for me but I hope you guys did enjoy this reading vlog anyways next week's reading vlog should be more exciting it is my birthday week my
