The Google Nest Hub: A Smart Display from Google Itself
Hey guys, this is Sean from ION Network and in this video, we're gonna be talking about the Google Nest hub. It is the first mod display from Google itself and has just launched in India for a price of rupees 9999. Here's a first impression with the device so let's quickly get started.
Starting with design, the Google Nest hub is a smart display which means it looks like a tablet stuck on top of a speaker if each is a really clean and simple design philosophy which makes it seem really premium. It looks great in many different settings including your conference table for business meetings or as a personal assistant on your work desk. Furthermore, it even looks great as a casual media consumption to next year couch. On the back, you'll find the volume rockers for controlling the volume output of the device as well as a microphone toggle. This lets you enable and disable the microphone so if you don't want anyone snooping in on your private conversations.
Now talking about the build quality, the Google Nest hub is made really robust with plastic back on its display portion while speakers are lined with a fabric material. This puts it more in line with other Google home products. Being a quick look at the specs and features of the Google Nest hub, the device is a part of Google's nest ecosystem which means it's compatible with other such devices such as the nest security cameras on the front.
We have a 7 inch HD display which is great for watching movies and videos and since it's a touchscreen it adds a new level of functionality over simple smart speakers. But you also have Google assistant built-in with deepness integration which allows you to control most smart products in your house as this acts like a command centre. "Ok Google, can you turn on the studio lights." Having Google assistant there's a lot of fun and practical things you can do with it. You can ask it to tell you a joke. You can play a game on it. And you can also ask them to tell you the directions to your nearest ice cream shop. Furthermore, you can even check the weather around you and browse recipes while you're cooking.
"Ok will, can you tell me a joke." Hey Google, let's play a game. One of the key defining features of the Google Nest hub is definitely its display. It features a smart ambient sensor which allows it to accurately map the lighting and the color temperature of the room. This means that the image is portrayed on the Google Nest hub always seems like a real photo frame.
Talking about song quality as previously mentioned, the Google Nest hub does have a speaker but we recommend you to listen to music or watch videos at 70 to 80 percent of the maximum output to avoid Distortion although you won't be using this device just for listening to music however you can connect it to other smart speakers that are dedicated for this sort of work and have them play simultaneously. Since it's a Google device, you also get Google Duo which allows you to make video calls and voice calls to your friends and relatives. Keep in mind though since this device does not have a camera they will not be able to see you.
The Google Nest hub is a great offering from the company but alternatively, you can look at the Amazon echo Show 5 which features a five inch display but with a front facing camera and Alexa integration for a price of rupees 8999. We leave the buying links for both of these products in the description down below if you enjoyed the video please like and comment on it and subscribe to again for more such content.
