**The Wish.com Light Needs to Be Replaced**
As I begin this video, I notice that my side light, which is currently a Wish.com light, needs to be replaced at this point in time. However, I'm excited to explore some new features and upgrades, particularly with the latest app for my lighting unit.
**New App Downloaded**
I've downloaded the newer app, and let's pop it open to add the device through Bluetooth. It shows up right away, and I'll click on it hit OK. Now, I've added it to my device, and it's time to give this bad boy a try. As soon as I open the app, you can see that the screen is going to be a bit blown out just because of the camera.
**Color Adjustment with the App**
I can change the brightness with the app, and I can also change the color. Let's make it over here to the yellow and make it a little bit dimmer. We'll keep it dim so that it's not blowing out the screen. One thing that I also have the ability to do is go into the sort of hue saturation mode and change the color. Now, hopefully these colors let's take the brightness down a little bit.
**Color Options with the App**
The app allows me to adjust the light in real-time, and I can choose from a full spectrum of colors. Let's jump over here to more of a pink and make it a little bit green. I basically have this full color wheel that I can adjust the light pretty much in real time if I want a bright orange or blue. But I want dark blue purple green. This is super convenient, and I'm also happy to see that there might be presets that you can choose from.
**Additional Features with the App**
There are also additional features within the app, such as a scene tab. Oh, oh sorry, sorry – I need to put a seizure warning on this particular screen because it has fireworks. But that's awesome! There's also a party mode right here, which is perfect for clubs or parties. Additionally, there's a candlelight feature, and I can simulate kind of like a spooky static scene from a movie.
**Scene Options with the App**
I can choose from various scenes, such as a fireworks display or a Paparazzi taking pictures with lightning in the background. These effects can be pretty useful depending on what you're trying to use the app for. However, for me, I'm looking for just kind of like a side light, so if I can see, I've got a strong pink light from over this side and a strong sort of white light over this side.
**Conclusion**
Overall, I'm absolutely loving this little app and the ability to kind of change whatever color I want. It looks like we've got a winner here, folks! The pros of this unit include strong solid metal construction, very bright and crisp light, comes with the app, allows you to do a full spectrum of color, has a back mounting bracket that allows for 360 swivel, connects to a tripod if you want, and controls on the back if you don't want to use the app. I think that's great. But yeah, that's it.
WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enalrighty I'm ready to liven this set up with a brand new light so let's try it out what's up everybody this is Carl from technical goodies and this is obviously the newer LED photography light basically comes in this nice little box here let's pop it open and one thing that I've liked about some of these newer products is that they are well packaged well made and seem to be really good quality so let's give this bad boy a try so it comes in this nice sort of nylon case uh travel set comes with a handle decent made zippers it looks like and inside we have instruction manuals Etc and right on top here is the light now the question is am I going to keep this inner portion I guess if you are going to travel you might want to keep this inner divider I'm not sure yet whether or not it all fits back in there without it so in there we've got this light we've also got a full power unit for it and a couple of Clips I think that's to add it to oh it's a full clip so this is the full clip to be able to add it to a tripod here I actually thought it came with a tripod when I got it but I guess not so that's kind of one disappointment there I'll have to use one of my own and let's check out the unit itself so this is a pretty heavy substantial unit all metal looks like it's got some wings that pop out here I don't know the technical term for this it's kind of like a glare blocking so it's not shooting out all over the place nice LED panel right here with all the lights and this is a full color RGB light so you can control the color coming out of this folds back down pretty easily and on the back got the standard on off button you've got some of the controls here for the brightness and the set Hue set in saturation it does look like it has a place for a battery pack one or two change the mode DC in and I'm not sure if this screen lights up or not but we'll find out so it looks like basically this is the bottom bracket that just kind of screws on to the unit that's what these here are for two little washers two little turn screws so I will go ahead and line this up and screw it on and of course this allows you to hook this light up to a tripod so you can stand it wherever you want all right those are on and now this should give some sort of full tilting ability to the light and you can it does loosen up a little bit when you do that but you can tighten them up in the exact position that you want all right for now that works as sort of a desktop light if I want it so on the back here like I said they do have the DC 12-1.5 Volt Plug-In here and I'm just going to put it on plug mode all right so now you can see that it does show sort of the different settings here on see if we can see that show the different settings here on this little screen and it is looks it does look like it's waiting for Bluetooth so we'll try that out but it looks like as I kind of control these little knobs down here it does change uh what I'm seeing on the screen so I can kind of get my specific settings that I like let's say that I like 20 20 and a uh 32 Kelvin as far as the 20 brightness 32 Kelvin or go all the way up to go all the way up to 100 with 32 Kelvin so let's go ahead and put this at a yeah let's just leave it at 32. and turn it around that is bright oh so wow that is absolutely bright and a nice light so as far as some of the features of this this particular model is the newer 530 Pro RGB LED video light it's got bluetooth app control it's got 45 watt dimmable bi-color 3200 to 5600 Kelvin light spectrum 97 plus LED panel you can also adjust the scenes in this which is a little bit different so it actually has nine different pre-programmed scenes in it like you can have a police light a disco strobe light all the different sort of pre-designed effects that they've added you can decide to use or not use we'll test those out when we get it hooked up here to Bluetooth if I go ahead in the back here with those knobs that we looked at earlier I can change the brightness so take the brightness down with the screw and that's all the way off you can change the color temperature of it by just rotating the other dial so that's more of like the warm side of the Kelvin scale and go towards the daylight or the bright white side so you can do that so that's all on the back there so you can do the manual adjustments you don't have to open up the Bluetooth app and again with this sort of back bracket that you have on here you have the ability to basically point it in any direction if you want to have it up if you want to kind of put it straight you want to point it down you can it has a full sort of 180 degree of movement but for right now during this video we'll just go ahead and keep it sort of in this tilt stand configuration so that we can test out all the different features but so far I mean the build quality of this light is pretty impressive not a lot of plastic on here everything is made of metal and just for quick reference just so you know why I got this new light is that I have been using the spectacular ring light from wish.com in my videos if you haven't seen my wish.com video I ordered this thought it would be a little better of course that's my problem I guess but I ended up getting this little ring light here which really is limited to three different temperature color temperatures I put this little tripod on the bottom of it I knock it over all the time drives me nuts I wanted the ability to kind of control my side light a little bit better or even have sort of a front on face light if I decide to start doing these videos with sort of a multi-camera view but yeah the wish.com light needs to be replaced at this point in time alrighty so I've got the newer app downloaded let's pop or open and add device through Bluetooth and it shows up right away I'll click on it hit OK and now I've added it to my device okay let's go ahead and give this bad boy a try Okay so as soon as I open it you'll see and again you know what we're looking at here on the screen is going to be a little bit blown out just because the camera but what I can do is kind of change you know as you can see I can change the brightness with the app I can also change the color so let's make it over here to the yellow and make it a little bit dimmer we'll keep it dim so it's not blowing out the screen now one thing that I also have the ability to do to do now is go into the sort of hue saturation mode and change the color now hopefully these colors let's take the brightness down a little bit you can see that it's blue let me jump over here to more of a pink more of a green light so I basically have this full color wheel that I can adjust the light pretty much in real time if I want a bright orange if I want blue but I want dark blue purple green so yeah that's super convenient and I also have sort of a hue slider here if I want to switch between them and also the saturation if I really want it to be a saturated color I mean you can't completely see that on the screen but that is absolutely a very pink color to me so that's awesome it looks like there might be sort of a presets that you can choose from which is also another good feature and then there also is a scene tab here oh oh sorry sorry I need to put a seizure warning on this particular screen um so you got fireworks just turn this brightness down that is absolutely blinding me so you have a party modes right here so I guess if you if you have a club you want to put these in that would work pretty good um they're so sort of I guess a a candlelight feature so if you want to be romantic you can fireworks go back over to the police one oh goodness gracious and I can also go over here simulate kind of like a spooky static scene from a movie Paparazzi taking pictures and like lightning in the background so all these little effects here can be pretty useful depending on what you're trying to use it for but for me you know I'm looking for just kind of like a side light so if you can see you know if I'm if I'm using this to kind of demonstrate something I've got a strong pink light from over this side a strong sort of white light over this side so I'll be able to have a little bit more depth to my scenes so I'm absolutely I'm absolutely loving this little app and the ability to kind of change to whatever color I want looks like a pretty clean pretty good app you can have your favorites you can have another scene if you want you can power it on and Power It Off from here but it looks like we've got a winner here folks again uh so the pros of this unit here are you know strong solid metal construction very bright very crisp light comes with the app allows you to do a full spectrum of color has the back mounting bracket that allows you to do a 360 swivel connect it to a tripod if you want um controls on the back if you don't want to use the app I think that's great but yeah that's it everyone this is the newer 530 Pro RGB LED they have a multi-pack if you're interested with two lights and I think that one does come with tripods but I've got a couple tripods here that I can use but yeah thanks for hitting like on this video feel free to subscribe again just a tech guide looking at these Tech goodies checking out what's good and what's not and
