The Sound Leak and Sound Isolation Test: A Personal Experience with Monster's Inspiration Headphones

As I sit here with my girlfriend, we're about to embark on another sound leak and sound isolation test, commonly referred to as the "girlfriend test." This test is a personal experience where I'll be using Monster's Inspiration headphones to see how well they can block out annoying sounds, like nagging or singing, from my girlfriend. We've all been there – trying to relax, focus on something, but our partner's voice is just too much.

To start, we're going to begin with the sound leak test. I'll play music from Volum at 50%, 75%, and then 100% volumes to see how much noise leaks through the headphones. As you can hear, I barely hear anything when the volume is set at 50%. "Yep, all right, yeah," my girlfriend responds, confirming that she's not hearing anything at this volume. Not too bad, right? Now, let's crank it up to 75% and see if we can pick up any sound. "Yeah, now I hear it a bit more here, not too bad but I do hear it a bit more there." Okay, so that's 75%. Next, I'll play the music at 100%, which is pretty much what we all know how that sounds like.

Now that we've completed the sound leak test, let's move on to the girlfriend test. This time, my goal is to see if my annoying sounds, nagging, or other distracting noises can be blocked out using these headphones. As you can hear, I'll be playing some karaoke videos, specifically "Unbreak My Heart" by Tony Bretton. For this section of the test, I'll first play the song at 50% volume to see how well it blocks out my girlfriend's voice. "Let get this on," she says, as I begin playing the music. At 50%, I can still hear her a bit, but it wasn't too bad because she was close and the music was loud enough.

Now that we've tested the sound leak at 50% volume, let's try it without active noise cancelling to see how it performs on its own. This is interesting. Without any assistance from the headphones, I can still hear my girlfriend a bit better than before. "Ready, ready," she says as I turn up the music to 75%. And you know what? It's almost like she wasn't even here! The passive noise cancelling really does make a difference in blocking out distractions.

Next, let's test how well the active noise cancellation works when turned on. As you can hear, my girlfriend starts singing along to "Unbreak My Heart." I apologize for her singing because, yes, everyone loves it, and she knows how much I love her songs. The music is now blasting in my ears, but my girlfriend's voice is being completely muffled by the active noise cancellation. It was actually really good at blocking out the sound. I can honestly say that the headphones did an incredible job of keeping me focused on the music.

Overall, it seems like Monster's Inspiration Headphones performed quite well in this test. The active noise cancelling worked incredibly well in blocking out my girlfriend's voice and other distracting noises. We didn't encounter any issues with leakage, even at 100% volume. While we did notice a slight amount of leakage when the volume was turned up to 75%, that wasn't too bad considering how loud the music was.

yep and this is the active noise cancelling version of The Inspirations so I'm going to be using the active noise cancelling throughout all of the different volumes of 50 75 and 100% but at 75% I'm also going to try out the passive noise cancelling just so we could get an idea of how it sounds at regular volumes if that can block it out all right and today for the girlfriend test what I'm going to be doing is what I have doing all weekend which is seeing karaoke using some YouTube videos and today it's going to be Tony brexton Unbreak My Heart All right so let's see if this active noise cancelling works here and let's try it out at 50% all right let get this on he's going to need this all right ready yes bring it down to 50 and here we go me Unbreak My Heart say you love me again all
