**The Astro A10s Headset Review**
For $60, the Astro A10s headset offers a great value, considering it's an all-in-one package that includes a built-in microphone and a 7.1 surround sound audio system. The headset is designed for casual gaming and everyday use, making it an excellent option for those who want to upgrade their audio experience without breaking the bank.
**Height Adjustment and Comfort**
One of the standout features of the Astro A10s is its height adjustment system. The ear cups move smoothly along the headband, allowing users to customize the fit to their liking. On top of the headband, there's a small area of padding that provides additional comfort and support. However, some might find the headband a bit bulky and wide, which can be a drawback for those who prefer a more discreet design.
**Sound Quality**
When it comes to sound quality, the Astro A10s is not bad, but it's not exceptional either. The audio system is capable of delivering 7.1 surround sound, but the sound quality itself is somewhat lacking compared to other headsets in this price range. The microphone is decent, but it won't blow you away if you're used to high-end audio equipment.
**Mic Test**
To give you an idea of what to expect from the mic test, I'll play some audio through the headset and record my voice. This will allow you to hear how the mic sounds and whether or not it's suitable for your needs. Please note that the mic quality is not as good as a standalone microphone or the Mast drop mini mic, which would be worth $100.
**Sound Quality (continued)**
Now, let's dive deeper into the sound quality of the Astro A10s. When I'm playing games like Fortnite or Overwatch, the audio is passable, but it's not what I'd call exceptional. The bass is decent, and I can hear footsteps and gunfire relatively easily, which is great for casual gaming. However, if you're looking for a more immersive experience, this headset might not be the best option.
**Value**
Considering the price point of $60, the Astro A10s offers an excellent value. You get a built-in microphone, 7.1 surround sound audio system, and a comfortable design that's suitable for everyday use. While it may not have all the bells and whistles of higher-end headsets, this headset is a great option if you're on a budget or just want to upgrade your audio experience without breaking the bank.
**Additional Features**
The Astro A10s also comes with some additional features that are worth mentioning. The headset can be connected to Xbox controllers, PS4 consoles, and PC computers without any issues. However, I'm not a fan of the color coding for different platforms, as it seems unnecessary and doesn't really add any value to the overall experience.
**Conclusion**
Overall, I'd give the Astro A10s headset a rating of 7.5 out of 10. While it may not be perfect, it offers an excellent value considering its price point. If you're looking for a comfortable, all-in-one headset with decent sound quality and a built-in microphone, this might be the perfect option for you. However, if you're looking for exceptional sound quality or more advanced features, you might want to consider other options.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up guys I'm random Frank P today we're going to be reviewing another gaming headset and this time it's the Astro a10s and perhaps the biggest selling point of this headset is the fact that it's only $60 that's pretty damn good so taking a look at the a10s the headset is nice and simple there's no buttons or anything like that no flashy lights on it which is a okay with me as you can see these are in the nice gray and blue color it does say it's meant for the PS4 oddly enough when you go to check out the different ones they have it in blue red for PC and green for Xbox one but they're all the exact same they all do the exact same thing they just I guess color code that but it's the exact same headset don't let the The Branding or anything like that scare you away on the left ear cup you have the boom mic which goes vertical in order to mute it on the bottom of the ear cup is your detachable 3.5 mm audio cable it also has some inline volume controls so that's a nice feature and the fact that it's removable is great because if this ever gets damaged you don't have to replace the entire headset you can always just buy a new cable and for height adjustment the ear cups move smoothly along the headband it's a real easy adjustment here the ear cups do move just slightly for a better fit on your head on top of the headband is a little area here of padding and it's the same padding we find in the ear cups that are pretty soft and overall it's I'd say light to a medium weight headset since it is made of plastic there's no real pressure points or anything like that I would like there to be a little bit more padding on the headband band but I mean for the most part it is kind of lightweight and it feels okay and a little complaint for me I don't like how they're so bulky I mean like they're definitely not discreet or low profile on my head at all you can see just how wide the headband goes out and around I would have liked it to have been possibly a little bit smaller in that regard just because I feel like I'm wearing like a crazy alien antenna or something on my head but in terms of physical features just taking a look at it that's pretty much it like I said earlier no unnecessary buttons or RGB lighting that would drive the cost up keeping it at $60 makes them give you pretty much all they can for that affordable price point then now before we get into my overall feedback on the sound quality we'll do a mic test for you so you can hear how it sounds and overall for $60 that's what you'd come to expect obviously something like a standalone microphone or like the Mast drop mini mic sounds a 100 times better but considering it's an all-in-one package here for a headset 60 bucks it's not a bad mic I've definitely heard a lot worse at a higher price point on some headsets but obviously all an edited audio here you're hearing that's going to be fine if you're just chatting with your friends on Discord or in game or something like that and now into the sound quality for the a10s and I think overall for this price point you're getting a great value with everything considered but it's just kind of meth playing this obviously you can plug it into your Xbox controller or your PS4 into your PC without a problem which is why like I said earlier the whole different color coding for the different plat platforms is kind of pointless it all works regardless of what color you get it in but it's just like it's ah obviously it's $60 I needed to make some sort of cut back here and you know for casual gaming I'm going to say very casual gaming if you're not really you know an audio file yourself or you don't care too much about the sound quality these are going to be fine I mean you're still be able to pinpoint you know footsteps relatively easily the sound quality isn't like glaringly bad or I wouldn't recommend these it's just not what I'm used to having tested headphones and headsets for the past like 2 years now I would say the sound quality is a little bit lacking but then in the end again you have to consider the overall value for $60 a lightweight headset with a built-in mic that's not too bad you could use it across whatever platform or console you want and you start to realize that that can pretty much be justified if you want to haul out the price of a video game for a headset as well so quick wrap it up I mean the pros value is great here the mic is pretty decent but for the cons I'm not the biggest fan of the overall sound quality and I would have liked some more padding on top of the headband because it is just so like bulky and wide you can like feel that padding up top so maybe just a different construction for the headband would have been better but that's pretty much going to wrap it up guys for 60 bucks the Astro a10s not a bad value for a rating I would give it like a 7.5 out of 10 the price point here definitely gives us some extra bonus points this video is brought to you by Corsair and their new glaive RGB gaming mouse the glaive comes with three modular thumb grips you can switch it up to fit your hand the best has three Zone
