A Big Thanks to MSI for Making Our Computex 20:19 Trip Possible
Firstly, there's a big thanks to MSI for making our Computex 20:19 trip possible. You can check out their latest X5 70 motherboards for gamers and creators in the link in the description.
Cool Master Master Case H100: A Cube-Based Mini ITX Case
This is the cool master master case h100, a cube-based mini ITX case that's descended from the master case 8 500. Most of you are familiar with this case. Overall, the exterior design looks pretty neat. They're going for more of a gamer approach here and it kind of almost looks like a massive RGB speaker. The reason for this is the massive 200 millimeter intake fan that's visible from the front. Thankfully, the front material is of the mesh variant, not the acrylic variant that we saw from the first age 500. Other than the front mesh panel, though, the rest of the case is completely closed off. Both side panels are completely closed off steel, and even the top panel is a fine mesh grille material.
First Impressions: System Thermals Might Not Be the Best
First impressions here are that system thermals might not be the best honestly since both side panels are just steel. I would have loved to see tempered glass side panels here instead. It's not any further detriment to airflow, and they would look much better. Still, this is a $59 case, though still will do just fine.
Opening Up the Side Panel
Now, opening up the side panel to check out the hardware layout hand we can't exactly see much. This is just the reality of previewing systems on the show floor. I'm not going to sit here and make excuses for Coolermaster. This system is just really poorly assembled. We can see that it does support ATX power supplies although the one here isn't fully installed. It will be mounted, though the mounting does seem to be there. The case is shorter than usual, which means that GPU length will be cut down a bit.
GPU Clearance and Drive Mounting
It looks like we're working with roughly 210 mils of GPU clearance give or take the side bracket here. Looks to be for two and a half inch drive mounting where there are two Drive slots, and it does look to be a bit of room underneath the two slot GPU possibly for fans or drives. We would hope for reference, the system that was installed here was an ASUS ROG Zephyrus with a 40 mil low-profile cooler and an RT X 2016. The CPU cooler being used here is a new one from Coolermaster, it's 40 millimeters it's the G 200 P I believe personally.
Personal Thoughts
Personally, I really hope this supports something much larger like in 92 mil or 120 more i/o settling for just a low profile cooler here for a case of this large for an ATX case would be a huge miss especially when higher court count Rises and CPUs are on the way. That's about all we can say right now for the Master Case H100.
Coolermaster Returns to Mid-Tower Cases
Coolermaster is also bringing back their I'll enter your series cases, which are mid-tower cases with a focus on low system noise levels. So here we have the Silence U.S. 400 and S 600. Yes 400 is a micro ATX model and featured in this $2.99 system that's called with a top-mounted 240 ml radiator but it looks like you could possibly instead mount a 360 ml rad at the front.
Case Design
The Silence here as 600 basically just stretches that into an ATX form factor both of these cases adopt the same pretty clean, minimal design which is RGB-free and they will be offered with either a tempered glass or steel side panel. Keep in mind that both of these cases will primarily focus on lowering system noise levels by insulating the case and closing it off from air flow. And as we know, this more than likely will result in warmer system temperatures so just keep that in mind.
Cool Master's Prototype Gaming Chair
Cool Master also had an insane prototype which is essentially your entire gaming setup in this floating economic show. The main focus here is around the chair and everything else is you sort of built around it but it is a pretty cool concept for sure. They set up two three monitors are able to be mounted here everything is adjustable including the main armrest, and there are stereo speakers installed in the interior. A full system can also be installed at the back of the show behind the seat.
Prototype Thoughts
Prototypes like this one are always really cool to see in person and try out but they kind of just remain that just prototypes as cool as they are this thing would cost a fortune to produce and buy so anyway guys let me know your thoughts on the Master Case H100 and the Silence cases down below in the comments.
