Lenovo S580 Budget Android Phone Unboxing & Overview

**Lenovo S580 Smart Phone Unboxing**

We have the power button on this side and it gave me a haptic feedback when pressed. Let's take a physical overview of the device. On the top, we have the micro USB slot that will be used for charging this device, followed by a 3.5mm headphone jack. The volume rocker is located on this side, along with the power button. Moving to the bottom, there's just the microphone indent to open the back cover. On the end of the device, we have three capacitive buttons at the bottom - menu, home, and back. It's still booting up as I speak.

**Device Specifications**

It has 1GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. The Android version running on this device is not explicitly stated, but it's running a custom skin that doesn't support app drawer, but there are folders and a lot of games and third-party apps pre-installed. The internal storage is 8GB, but let's see how much free space we get. Looking at the settings, we have various options to customize our device experience.

**Display Settings**

Let's take a look at the display settings first. We have the brightness setting with an auto-brightness sensor. The screen resolution is 720P HD, and it seems decent, but there's some jerkiness when viewing content. I'll test this further in my review. Now, let's go to the Android version running on this device - it's Jelly Bean 4.3.

**Storage and Expandability**

We have about 5.1GB of free storage out of the 8GB internal memory. We can also add a microSD card up to 32GB, but I'm not sure if we can move apps to the SD card. Let's test this later in my review. Now, let's connect to our Wi-Fi network and see how it performs.

**Google Apps**

We have Google-specific apps pre-installed on this device, such as Chrome browser, which is also a default app. There's some lag in the UI at least as of now, but we'll test this further in my review. Let's fire up the web browser and test its performance.

**Web Browser Performance**

This is the web browser on our Lenovo S580 Smart Phone. It's loading websites quickly, and it looks decent so far. I'll open up a story to test how it performs under load. The keyboard looks stock, with haptic feedback when typing.

**Camera Performance**

The camera app on this device has a 8MP shooter, and the interface is simple. Let's take a look at the settings for better performance. There's no flash in the default mode, but we have T to focus and another option that seems like a self-timer. The shutter speed looks decent, but there's some delay in taking pictures.

**Conclusion**

That's it for now - this is my quick unboxing of the Lenovo S580 Smart Phone. If you have any questions about this device, please post them in the comment section, and I'll try to include them in my review.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is ranit and this is the Lenovo s580 device which is a budget-oriented device by Lenovo and in this video we'll be doing the unboxing for this device and it has some decent specs like it has a 1.2 GHz quadcore processor and it has 1 G of RAM and it has a 5 in IPS grade screen and regarding the pricing as you can see it is coded as 11,999 but this product is available on snapdeal.com for 9,000 rupe so let's quickly open this up and let's have a look at this device itself and all the contents actually come out of the box just like this uh we have the power brck which is a USB power backck looks uh pretty good quality I would say we have the USB cable uh the headsets which is again an ordinary one we also have Lenovo limited warranty information and the product guide the battery is is a removable and it looks like a massive battery but it's just a 2150 mAh battery so let's keep these things to the side we also do get this uh protective uh screen guard free with this device in the package let's take this out and this is the device itself and we already have a case for this one as you can see they have already bundled a case so that is sort of increasing interesting let me just take this out I haven't seen this with any other devices so you get can take the out and it's pretty light let me put in the battery now it's a dual SIM device we also have a micro SD card slot and it can accept SD cards up to 32 GB these are the SAR values for those who are interested and let's put in the battery and uh put the back cover the rear facing camera is supposed to be 8 megap shooter LED flash we have the Lenovo branding the front facing camera is actually a 2 map shooter and it just says Lenovo so let's try to uh Power it on we have the power button on this side it gave me a haptic feedback and uh let me give you a physical overview on the top we have the micro USB slot that will be used for charging this device 3.5m headphone jack uh we have the volume rocker on this side power button uh bottom we have just the microphone indent to open the back cover and on this end actually nothing so it's still booting and we have three uh touch type capacitor buttons at the bottom uh looks like like menu home and back and it booted fairly quickly I would say let's unlock it and uh it has 1 G of ram as I told you and a Snapdragon 1.2 GHz quad core processor I'm not very sure what is the version of Android it run so let's uh invoke it and as you can see it's running a custom skin so we don't have a app draw but there are folders and quite a bit of games and uh third party apps are already pre-installed internal stage is 8 gigs but let's see how much do we get let's look at the settings so these are the settings for this device and let me quickly uh actually go to the display first and let's see the brightness and we have the auto brightness sensor also as you can see and uh right now I put it on autoart uh for now I'll just keep it on manual setting so we have the auto brightness sensor and let's look at the Android version that we give this is the Sim management and if you go to about the device it's running on the Android version 4.3 but it's just Jelly Bean uh so 4.3 is what you get and let's look at uh the storage so out of that 8 gigs of internal storage that you have you get about uh 5.1 GB free and uh we can add a SD card up to 32 GB uh but I'm not very sure if we can move the apps to the SD card I'll test that in my review uh so let's just go back and I'll just quickly connect to my uh what say Wi-Fi network yeah I just connected to my Wi-Fi network and again we have Google specific apps that are pre-installed let's go back we have Chrome browser that is also pre-installed I see a bit of lag as you can see see on this device in the UI at least as of now again it's the first boot for this device let's just go out a lot of uh junk is pre-installed in my opinion but let let's fire up the web browser uh this is the web browser let's just go to Let's accept all those terms and conditions and this is the default keyboard looks like stock and it's giving me haptic feedback whenever I touch any key let's go to read.com and it loaded it actually very quickly let's force it to the desktop mode oops and uh this is the menu button and if you hold this one actually you do also get to the multitasking tray so it's acting like a two-way switch pinch to zoom is decent but uh not super responsive I would say but again this is entry-level device let's open up this story and let's see how it loads again it loaded it very quickly and uh another good thing with this device that I'm noticing is the screen quality it's a 5in screen and it's a 720P HD screen and also the viewing handles are pretty decent in my opinion uh so but I'll test because as you can see there's a little bit of jerkiness I'll test uh the web browser a lot more on this device let's also quickly look at the camera on this one it's a 8 map shooter and again the interface looks very stock uh let's see if we go to get go to the settings like this let's go back and uh no these are the settings let's see on video I wanted to see okay so just the photo mode and the uh video mode very simple camera I would say let's we have the T to focus and the box is too close it seems not the fastest uh shutter speed again I'll show you as you can see there is a considerable amount of delay while taking the pictures and this came out decent I would say but uh the earlier one uh I noticed that you got to see as you can see this one came out shaky because there is some shutter lag so you have to keep still after hitting that shutter button for about a second so that's it for now for this very quick unboxing of this Lenovo s580 smartph phone if you have any particular questions regarding this device do post them in the comment section and I'll try to include them in my review thanks for watching this is
