5 MUST HAVE Nintendo Switch OLED Accessories! (2021)

**The Nintendo Switch Accessories We Love**

As a gamer, there's nothing quite like having all the right accessories to enhance your gaming experience. The Nintendo Switch is no exception, and with its growing library of games and accessories, it can be overwhelming to navigate the market. In this article, we'll take a closer look at some of our favorite Nintendo Switch accessories that make playing on the go a breeze.

**The Genki Convert Dock: A Game-Changer for Traveling Gamers**

One accessory that caught our attention is the Genki Convert Dock. This compact device is designed to turn your Nintendo Switch into a full-fledged gaming console, allowing you to play games on any TV with an HDMI port. Weighing in at just 6.9 ounces and measuring 4 x 3 x 1 inches, this dock is smaller than most standard Switch docks, making it the perfect companion for traveling gamers.

We plugged in the Genki Convert Dock and instantly had access to our favorite games, including Super Smash Bros. The dock also includes a USB cable and an Ethernet port, allowing you to plug in your network cables or connect to Wi-Fi. While we didn't test the Ethernet functionality, it's clear that this dock is designed for gamers who want flexibility on the go.

**The Fusion Pro Controller: A High-End Gaming Experience**

For those looking to take their gaming experience to the next level, the Fusion Pro Controller from PowerA is a must-have accessory. This controller features paddles in the back, allowing for more precise control and a competitive edge in games like Super Smash Bros. The controller also has customizable options, including interchangeable thumbsticks and paddles.

We were impressed by the quality of this controller, which feels solidly built and comfortable to hold. With its sleek design and feature-rich functionality, the Fusion Pro Controller is perfect for serious gamers who want a premium gaming experience on their Switch.

**Bluetooth Headphones: A Mixed Bag**

Unfortunately, our Bluetooth headphones didn't quite live up to our expectations. We were excited to try out a pair of wireless headphones with our Switch, but unfortunately, they wouldn't connect. It's clear that this is an issue that Nintendo still needs to iron out, as many users have reported similar problems.

In the meantime, we recommend checking out other Bluetooth headphones from reputable brands like Sony or Bose. These options may not be specifically designed for the Switch, but they offer excellent sound quality and long battery life.

**Final Thoughts**

Overall, these accessories are a great addition to any Nintendo Switch owner's arsenal. The Genki Convert Dock is perfect for traveling gamers who want flexibility on the go, while the Fusion Pro Controller offers a high-end gaming experience for serious players. While our Bluetooth headphones didn't quite work out, we're confident that Nintendo will get it sorted soon.

In the meantime, be sure to check out our previous Switch accessories article for more recommendations and reviews. We'll also have a full review of the Fusion Pro Controller coming soon, so stay tuned for that.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's going on guys it's your average consumer and the nintendo switch oled is out and of course you know your boy had to talk about some dope accessories that you gotta get your hands on for that new switch so if you've got the new switch of course you know a few things are a bit different with this one you got that nice larger display uh but this means some changes for the most part this thing pretty much feels like the standard nintendo switch but it is a little bit wider so certain accessories that you might have already owned from the previous switch won't necessarily work here mostly grips and things that conform to the exact size of the switch those are out so you might need some new stuff if you plan on upgrading but i wanted to talk about some of the essentials first first thing i would definitely recommend is actually the case that nintendo sells for the oled switch i think you can use this for the regular switch as well but this came out alongside the oled switch i like this case it's really really simple i like the black and white uh it gets the job done you throw your switch inside of here you even have this spot so that you can hold cables and some games i think this is made to be used as some kind of stand or something i'm really not too sure but one thing that's nice about this case is that it also comes with a screen protector so i was actually pretty surprised by that i actually applied it to my nintendo switch now there's a reason this thing already comes with a screen protector and that's because the panel underneath is actually glass so they're calling it an anti-scattering adhesive film and that's cool and all but i feel like it's nice to have another screen protector on here in case of scratches that screen protector you cannot remove or at least nintendo does not want you to remove it by any means so please don't so just throw on another one in case you deal with scratches or anything like that you won't have to worry about it being on the final screen protector but i'm just happy that this thing came with the screen protector it was just a nice little bonus for the sleek form factor case i'm used to carrying bulkier cases i'll actually have some links to some of the accessories i used for my original switch down below in the description a lot of those will still work for the oled so definitely check that out but yeah super happy with this it's only 20 bucks so you get a nice case screen protector pretty much sets you up to take this on the go but let's say you want a little bit more maybe you want something a bit different right so i found this little accessory kit on amazon i'm not even really sure the name of the brand i think it's what is it last y'all clear protective cup whatever i'll have it linked down below basically it's like a plastic case it's made of like a tpu material you know those clear cases we see on smartphones well this has that now i don't normally like this kind of stuff but when it comes to the switch oled if you go for the white controllers you might notice this happened to me really quickly and i'm really careful with my stuff but i got some scuff marks on my joycons and these are not going away i can't just like rub it out pretty annoying to have that happen so quickly and these come with these covers these plastic covers so if you want to protect your joy cons you you're the type of person who gets bothered by scuffs like i am you throw this on it keeps it nice and protected so you don't have to worry about that white getting messed up so it's nice to have for the joy cons at least and the material is not bad it definitely still feels very comfortable so i like this but this thing also comes with a few other things it comes with a tempered glass screen protector so you get that if you want it and you also get these little nubs for your joysticks and your joycons now for me personally these guys right here this is the way to go when you're playing with the actual joy cons i love the feel of this i don't find the joysticks that come with it that comfortable it's it's fine as possible but i like how these are concave and your thumb just sits in it makes it really easy to move around i absolutely bought this just for these not gonna hold you guys this is why i picked up the whole thing it's completely worth it how much was this let's see it's actually 18.95 so under 20 bucks between the joy-con cases these guys right here and that screen protector it's absolutely worth it now another thing you're going to want to get your hands on is of course a memory card i got this memory card and one of our massive tech unboxings is the one terabyte card pricey it's like 100 i think it's like 120 bucks right now you don't need all that but i'm somebody who gets tons and tons of digital games so i wanted to have all that extra space even though they increase the storage you're gonna want more than what they give you here so memory cards are absolutely a must i'll put some of the best value ones in the description as well for you guys to check out but one thing that is nice is that this thing can still use all the joy-con accessories that you might already own with a previous switch like these i think this is the hoary split pad or something like that either way you can use like old cons feels good now like i said before certain grips will not work but this one i feel like you guys should absolutely consider okay so this is the hyperx charge plate clutch now like i said this is basically a grip you can see that it still fits here just fine uh but this thing does quite a bit actually but you will notice that there's like a little bit of a gap here it doesn't impact anything nothing's gonna fall off this is still really nice and secure it's not a big deal though trust me not a big deal not only does it give you like a super super comfortable grip but it also charges this as you play so it has a built-in charger in the back because it connects to the usbc port and you can of course charge it and the switch at the same time so you can do that it also has a kickstand so even though the switch oled has that beautiful new kickstand uh this one's got a really solid one that you could depend on as well but beyond that it also does a couple of other things so you can take off this part you can connect them like this open this up take your joy cons off then you can put them in here and then use them like a controller so i think that's pretty cool i'll be honest with you guys i never do that i never use the little thing that comes with the switch to use this as like a controller that's that's not me but yeah once i bought this from my previous switch i like never took it off it is a little bit bulky though and you can't put this thing inside of like any real cases or like cases that you would take around with you so you want to keep that in mind now over here we've got something cool now we all know the switch oled has this nice cool new dock that has you know some new features it's got the new look uh and it also has that ethernet port in the back which is all great can't complain uh but it's still a very large switch dock right so there's this cool device called the genki convert dock now i'll be honest with you guys it is kind of hard to find this right now uh i tried to find a replacement uh this is from kiwi home this did not work for my switch if you're looking for this guy and you stumble across this don't buy it didn't work for me but the genki convert dock if you can get your hands on it is actually really cool so it is essentially this in this form factor you see the size difference there that means you can basically take the dock anywhere with you very easily it's not cumbersome at all it's the size of like a normal charger so if you're like going to a hotel or a friend's house and you want to play on the tv all you need is this little guy and probably the cables you need to attach it so i'm going to plug this in really quickly let me show you guys what we're talking about all right so i'll plug this into the outlet or this guy on and boom here we are so let me take out my joy cons so as you guys can see all we need right here is this little guy the switch the cables necessary and boom we're playing full blown nintendo switch on the tv just like it was the switch dock now what's cool is that this thing also includes a usb cable and i believe nintendo sells an ethernet to usb adapter so if you really need that ethernet cable plugged in i think you might be able to get away with it i haven't tested it yet so don't be mad at me if it doesn't work but i think the potential is there but yeah this thing is super convenient i like being able to have like a dock pretty much anywhere with me it's really cool especially on the go uh so that is something you might want to check out and it only costs i think like 50 bucks now let's say you're docked up on the big tv you don't necessarily want to use joy cons to play something like smash brothers there's something pretty cool i want you guys to check out this is the fusion pro controller from power a and this is basically like the xbox elite controller for the nintendo switch uh you guys can see we've got the paddles in the back uh this thing is actually removable but you can throw on four paddles if you want extra controls you want to take this thing seriously you've got the ability with this guy which is cool and this thing is just like a really solid controller one thing i do like about this is that as you can see it's got some customization options uh you can go ahead and take off this plate even and you can go all black if you want that like super stealthy look and you can customize it even further beyond just looks uh you can take off these and then you can throw different versions on right here i personally like the ones that it comes with but if you do want to switch it up maybe you want like a taller joystick or you want something smooth you have that option as well but i'm pretty good with stock and we're gonna go back to white since we're rocking the oled switch and we throw the paddles back on but yeah if you're docked in and you're ready to play a game seriously this is a really really good controller to get your hands on i believe i saw this for about 80 bucks last time i was in stores so they're not crazy expensive especially considering uh everything that you're getting here this is like all that you would want from a controller and uh it's actually really awesome and that about wraps it up for this list guys now i would have a pair of bluetooth headphones to recommend for you guys if i got the feature to work i don't know why my oled switch just cannot discover any bluetooth headphones for some reason and i know it's been a pretty mixed bag on who gets it to work and who doesn't so until nintendo really gets that figured out i'm gonna leave those recommendations for another time i want you guys buying a pair of bluetooth headphones i recommend and not have it work with your switch so that wraps it up for this video guys hopefully you enjoyed it if you didn't check out the previous switch accessories video that i've done like i said i'll have it linked down below there's awesome stuff there that you'll be able to take advantage of and use here as well so definitely check those out but till next video guys your average consumer i will have a full review at some point coming soon i'll have that link down below once it's out but till then i'll catch you guys in the next one peace kevin let's play around man smash broswhat's going on guys it's your average consumer and the nintendo switch oled is
