**Unboxing and First Impressions: Sony REX-N800C**
As we power on the device, you'll see this screen and press the lock button to unlock the screen. The standard Sony REX-N800C home screen layout is visible, with the time and date in the center of the screen and four tabs on the sides for shortcuts. You can pull out the full menu and swipe through it from the bottom of the screen.
The touchscreen is a resistive touchscreen, which means it's not as responsive as some other screens we've seen lately. It takes a little while to respond to your touch, and sometimes doesn't respond at all. The operating system is also quite slow and buggy, with occasional crashes and unresponsive behavior.
Despite the slow performance, you do have quick shortcuts to your contacts, messaging, and the music player (WMAN). You also have access to the full menu, which has a bunch of pre-installed applications. However, one of the most significant issues with this phone is the font used on the screen. The text is not readable, especially in low-light conditions or when using certain applications like messaging.
The wallpaper in the background can be changed, but it always returns to the same blue color in some features, such as the dialer. This makes it difficult to read numbers and other information displayed on the screen. The phone's display is also prone to lag, especially when switching between apps or menus.
In terms of hardware, the REX-N800C has a plastic build quality that feels somewhat cheap and flimsy. While the two cover options (white and blue) are nice touches, they don't necessarily make up for the overall lack of build quality. The phone's touchscreen is not too responsive, but it does provide a slight vibration when you tap on the screen.
**Call Quality and Audio**
We're happy to report that the call quality is decent, with clear audio and minimal background noise. However, we can't comment on the microphone without testing it out thoroughly. We'll have to wait until our full review to test the phone's speakers and microphone.
**Battery Life and Conclusion**
Unfortunately, we don't have enough information about the battery life of the REX-N800C yet. We'll have to wait until our full review to see how long this phone lasts on a single charge.
Overall, while the Sony REX-N800C is an entry-level budget phone that tries to pack in some features at a low price point, it falls short in several areas. The slow performance, poor display quality, and lack of build quality all contribute to a disappointing user experience. However, we do appreciate the two cover options, which add a nice touch to an otherwise basic design.

quickly insert the battery and Power on the device we also get this blue cover that we mentioned earlier so we're going to put this one on right now and uh let's quickly power on the device powering on the end of you will see this screen and uh press the lock button to unlock the screen you get the standard Sony ixen home screen layout where you have the time and date in the center of the screen you have four tabs on the sides of the screen which are used for shortcuts you can pull out the full menu and swipe through it from the bottom of the screen the touch screen is a resistive touchcreen and is not as responsive as some of the other screens that we' have seen lately and uh is a little slow to respond also the operating system is quite slow and buggy and it does kind of crash in the sometimes doesn't respond to your touch very easily uh you do have on your home screen you do have quick shortcuts to your contacts uh your messaging daa and the wman which is essentially a music player and you also have the full menu which has a bunch of applications pre-installed you have the play now button calendar the camera application for the album and I'm sure you guys can notice this but the text on the screen is not readable the wallpaper in the menu background can be changed but uh it stays the same in some features like for example if you go into the dial you'll always see this background the blue background and it makes it essentially impossible to look at the numbers the color of the text used on the device is white and it kind of Blends in with the wallpaper and it's really difficult to read uh the text on the buttons and while in a message you will see that it's really difficult to read the font on the messaging keyboard so this is something that Sony Dixon probably didn't think of in a hurry to roll out the device we don't know you do get all your social networking applications like Facebook Twitter orot uh pre-installed onto the device you also have a bunch of games like BB Revolution and Nightclub fever which are Java Games which are pre-installed onto the device as well if you don't know the name of a particular song you can run track ID and find I'm going to quickly show you the dialer screen again it's very difficult to read the numbers on the screen because of the text and the wallpaper in the background this wallpaper we tried to change it cannot be changed uh possibly if we change the theme or something this can be changed but essentially when it comes out of the box it's practically impossible to read the numbers on this uh let's quickly call Customer Care since we are on vone it's triple one and uh let's put it on loud speaker we are happy to help you vone 3G is here it's so the loud speaker essentially pretty loud and we are yet to test out the speaker and the mics we'll put that in the review in the full review on .in so be sure to check that out a very standard camera application you don't get any settings in this you can switch from video to shooting mode and that's about it no additional settings on this camera it's just a basic camera application to just click pictures no additional settings No Effects nothing is given uh we'll quickly go into the messages and create a message this does have a standard uh keyboard it does not have a quity keyboard so it has a npad keyboard layout and uh let's see if we can type on this we are still not happy with the text colors and the font used so uh Sony Ion should have thought of that there is a slight lag from the screen but you do get this haptic feedback every time you tap on the screen a very slight vibration to confirm your tab so that's something which is nice so that's everything from the Sony rexen yendo entry-level budget phone from uh Sony ixon comes
