**My Experience with the Riptide Electric Skateboard**

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Riptide electric skateboard, and I must say that it's been a wild ride. The first thing I noticed was how abrupt the stop is. It feels like you're gonna fly off the board, and that was one of my main issues with the Riptide in the first place. The braking can be a bit harsh, and while the remote control did help to smooth things out a bit, it's still not perfect.

The remote itself is an improvement over the original Riptide, but it's still got some quirks. One thing that bothered me was that the string came off too easily, so you'll want to be prepared for that. However, the remote did make things smoother in some ways, and I appreciate that Riptide continues to support their products and stand by their customers.

Speaking of which, I've been impressed with Riptide's customer service team. When I had a issue with my grip tape peeling off on top, they sent me a free replacement without any hassle. They're clearly committed to making things right if something goes wrong, which is music to this reviewer's ears.

One thing that I like about the Riptide is how easily you can upgrade and customize it. If you get an idea for a new part or feature, you can simply swap it out with one from another board or purchase it separately. This makes the Riptide feel more modular and interchangeable than some other electric skateboards on the market.

Of course, no ride is perfect, and there are a few things that I wish were different about the Riptide. For example, the headlights can be a bit of a pain to install and use, with the charging port being located in a way that makes it hard to access. And while the board itself handles nicely, the wheels can feel a bit sensitive at times, especially on rough terrain.

Despite these minor quibbles, I've really enjoyed riding the Riptide. It's been great for commuting and cruising around town, and I appreciate how travel-friendly it is – it fits easily in my suitcase and has enough range to get me where I need to go without worrying about running out of juice.

If you're on the fence about buying a Riptide board, I'd say start off with the R1 model and see how you like it. You can always upgrade to an R1X later on by swapping out parts or purchasing new ones separately. And if you do end up getting one, be sure to check in with Riptide's customer service team – they're great to work with.

**Additional Thoughts**

I recently tried out the R-1 Black and was impressed by its sleek design and travel-friendly features. The custom grip tape is a nice touch, and I appreciate how Riptide continues to innovate and push the boundaries of what's possible with electric skateboards.

Overall, I think the Riptide is a great option for anyone looking for an electric skateboard that's both fun to ride and reliable. With its modular design and interchangeable parts, it feels like a board that can grow with you as your riding style and needs change. And while there are still some minor issues to work out, I'm confident that Riptide will continue to improve and refine their products over time.

**Pricing and Value**

One thing that did surprise me was the price of the remote control – $50 seems like a bit steep for something that's essentially an accessory. However, I can understand why Riptide might have priced it at this level, given the complexity and quality of the technology involved. If I'm being completely honest, I think the remote could be priced lower – maybe around $30 or $40 would feel more reasonable.

Regardless of the price, I think the Riptide is a great value for anyone looking to invest in an electric skateboard that can keep up with their active lifestyle. With its long-range capabilities and travel-friendly design, it's perfect for commuters who need to get where they're going quickly and easily. And while there are still some minor quirks to work out, I'm confident that Riptide will continue to improve and refine their products over time.

**Conclusion**

In conclusion, my experience with the Riptide electric skateboard has been overwhelmingly positive. While there are still some minor issues to work out, I've really enjoyed riding it and appreciate how easily I can upgrade and customize it. With its travel-friendly design, long-range capabilities, and modular design, I think the Riptide is a great option for anyone looking for an electric skateboard that's both fun to ride and reliable.

As someone who spends a lot of time on the board, I appreciate how Riptide continues to support their customers and stand by their products. Whether you're a seasoned skater or just starting out, I think the Riptide is definitely worth considering – and with its modular design and interchangeable parts, it's easy to see why.

So if you're ready to take your riding experience to the next level, I highly recommend giving the Riptide a try. Just be sure to check in with Riptide's customer service team along the way – they're great to work with!

started alright guys so this is day 2 and I just want to keep on talking about this Nipsey Hussle thing I just can't stop thinking about it it's so devastating man that's the most devastating news I heard all year all right man I gotta get something to eat it's like about to be 8 o'clock in the morning all right peanut they very cool tell I like it I'm not really used to just taking the whole entire bowl but um I took two bowls I have some chicken in the fridge from home but it's in the middle isn't a matter what you call it and you don't metal in the microwave don't go you know don't get it long so ladies and gentlemen this is the rib type r1 electric skateboard I had it for six months how is it we're gonna go out we're gonna take it out for a spin yeah so handle it's good for easy care again this board goes up to 18 miles per hour the battery life it goes up to 7 miles but if you upgrade the wheels to the green wheels it's gonna go a little faster at 1919 and it can also go up to 8 miles per hour see the Calabasas sign over there yeah your table is a lot of fun I highly recommend it it's a good price it's fast and it's travel friendly but yeah it's no problem had to upgrade to the remote to the RX it is compatible it works with no problems the handles is convenient you can travel with this thing the battery is small but it's a good thing because you can travel and for the price not bad and better yet if you use code simply pops - 100 you get $100 off so this board is a steal the only thing I didn't like about it is the remote but you can upgrade it everything can be replaceable when you're riding this board you want to wear something like vans something that's flat on the bottom so it's easier to ride and you know more comfortable but design as beautiful is unique has a kick tail so beautiful yet now keep mine the board isn't water-resistant I wouldn't recommend ride it in the water I've never tried it but they didn't claim to be water resistance this is visa pointy and man beautiful here it's quiet I can't even go to the golf course oh it's a hill here so there's a hill here the boy is kind of struggling I'm not even full darling it because I don't want to go fast oh yeah it's a big hill too so you guys can see down there whoa look at this view holy crap see it's like a thousand people here she's in love with him back in high school is the bus to the dance sycamore's by national anthem it's a solid board at a solid price make sure you guys pick up yourself a VIP table boy even if you have an electric skateboard I think it's good to have a short board just for stuff like this for traveling and short distances I love California man I said slow me down potentially stopping I would say if you live near this area you need to have one of these boards here this is no debating right yeah pick up a riptide there as well and it saving you money you want to keep on buying the scooters wrote every penny yeah it looks good 60 frames per second I purposely I purposely don't want to go fast yeah I need this board if you live in you live in California Southern California you need this board right here just because it's stuff like this I see a tab you could leave you anyway Booya way better than you know all right guys so I'm back from the beach man Santa Monica a lot of people but I had a lot of fun I feel like I didn't really give you guys a proper review I reviewed the board but I didn't really mention the pros and the cons of it even though I kind of did I feel like I have to ask every during the public like riding on the sidewalk or maybe want to ride on the street I highly recommend you guys riding on you know setting it to medium just because you're aware if anything comes up or you know someone's walking by or a car doing something dumb you actually have control to slow down when you're riding at a high speed you got to prepare to stop and sometimes when you just stop friendly like we just have an abrupt stop I feel like you're gonna fly off the board and that was one of my main issues with the Riptide the I fight the braking is a little harsh it's a little bit on the harsh side but they came out with this remote this is the RX remote and I picked one up and by the way the string came off too so you know be prepared to lose that but the remote came out it did make things smoother a little bit smoother but it's still there it has a little bit of a harsh braking a little bit what the remote is better I would say the best thing to do is just to let the board ride since this is a belt-driven motor it just it tends to just slow down already so but yeah you'll get used to it but overall away from that the board is travel friendly I'm here in California coming from New York and most importantly they stand by their products if anything happens to my Riptide I can contact Riptide and they'll be able to help me they be able to assist me when as soon as I got the board maybe like two weeks two weeks in or three weeks the the grip tape actually peeled off on the top none - nothing too serious so I caught a grip time and they sent me a free grip tape with no problem so they stand by their products they not bailing out and their products whatsoever so I really do respect Riptide for supporting their boards and they coming out with new products such as custom grip tapes that digits recently announced and I think today they announced the r-1 black they stand by their products they keep on continuing to support and that is just so important to me when it comes down to the electric skateboard everybody deserves that you spend a lot of money on these boards you should have that support but away from that I like I everything is interchangeable so if they come up with a new board tomorrow you can change some of the parts on the r1 and just have it like that board so I can easily upgrade to r1 X just by changing the wheels adding it on the headlights which I do have headlights on this board but the headlights in my opinion they hard to put on they hard to charge because they put the charging port inside where the brackets need to be I don't really like that too much and I just tend to not even use it because it's just a pain in the butt to take out and put it back in but overall away from that you could just easily upgrade everything you could upgrade the battery and get that on r1x you know style or that that power but the problem with that is it's not gonna be travel friendly so you cannot travel with that kind of with that sized battery you're gonna get more range but it's just not worth it if you got to be traveling a lot but I would easily say the RIP type is a good secondary board and this is my first time actually traveling with the rip time and you know it's no problem just put in my suitcase it fits perfectly it's a good size and that's it I would still say this is a good secondary board as a main board it's still good but I'd rather have a long board because the long board kind of absorbs some of the bumps and you know the hills and not the hills but like the cracks on the sidewalk it handles it a little bit better on the longer board if you if you're on the fence on on buying a riptide board I would say start off with the r1 and you can easily upgrade to our 1x by parting the parts later on sometimes Riptide holds some sales so yeah I think it's this is a good investment actually it's right there charge and I've been riding it all day that's what she said on the beach you guys seen it for yourself it's just a bunch of b-roll but um it's a great board and I really do love it once you get past the harsh or the sensitive break-in this is easily a perfect board have like the reverse button and a switch because this is a button and the problem with the button is you can't you don't know when it's on reverse mode so you should try it out first before you actually get on the board but I wish it was like an indicator and you know it is on reverse mode this this remote costs fifty dollars so it's a little bit of a steep price they should've priced this at 30 or maybe even 20 it would probably been better if it was twenty honestly you can actually feel some of the cracks like after a while your foot is gonna get tired but if you're not that kind of guy you ride skateboards all the time then yeah you probably not gonna care too much but overall guys make sure you guys subscribe like comment and I catch you guys on my next video peacesecond day in Calabasas California New York time is 10 a.m. California time 7
