This week in the tech news: Samsung Uber battery, Black Friday and HDMI 2.1

**The Rise of Bitcoin: A Bubble Worth Watching**

The price of bitcoin has been on a wild ride, and it's hard to deny that it's one of the most exciting and tumultuous markets out there. With 40,000 dollars invested in everybody who's invested in bitcoin, it's clear that this is a market that's not going to be ignored anytime soon. And let's be real, if you're not investing in bitcoin, you might as well be sitting on the sidelines while all the action happens elsewhere. The dotcom bubble of the late 1990s and early 2000s is often cited as one of the most notable tech bubbles in history, but some would argue that the current state of bitcoin is even more hectic.

**Graphing the Great Tech Bubbles**

When it comes to comparing the different tech bubbles that have existed over the years, it's clear that bitcoin is going to be one for the books. If you look at graphs comparing various bubbles, from the dotcom bubble to the more recent rise of cryptocurrencies like ethereum and ripple, it's clear that bitcoin is running neck and neck with them all. The other bubbles may not have reached the same heights, but they're certainly giving bitcoin a run for its money.

**Samsung Unveils Graphene Battery**

In some positive news, Samsung has announced the graphene battery, which apparently charges significantly faster and has a much higher charge amount. This is a big deal because, let's face it, batteries are pretty much the worst thing when it comes to tech. The battery on my camera is actually dying right now, and I'm pretty sure the battery on your smartphone is going through the same kind of struggles. So, yes, this is definitely good news.

**Cyber Monday and Black Friday Sales**

With Cyber Monday having come and gone, and Black Friday being just around the corner, it's time to take a look at what people are buying online. According to PC forums like PC Master-Race, people have been snapping up CPUs left and right, thanks to amazing deals on these components during both events. This was definitely a smart move by AMD, as they've managed to make their parts so cheap that you can't not buy them.

**The Rise of MP: A New Era for PC Hardware**

But what's really interesting is the way that this trend has affected other areas of the tech industry. With CPUs being sold out left and right, it's clear that people are eager to upgrade their rigs. And speaking of upgrades, the latest news from the world of display technology is nothing short of exciting: HDMI 2.1 has been announced, and it's set to support a whopping 120 Hz 4K resolution.

**HDMI 2.1: The Future of Display Tech**

One thing that's always been a bit of an issue with 4K tech is the cost. Not only are high-end displays expensive, but they're also often limited in terms of what you can do with them. But with HDMI 2.1 on the horizon, it seems like we may finally have some answers to those problems. According to the folks who make HDMI, this new standard will support a whopping 120 Hz 4K resolution from one plug - that's right, no more multiple displays or complicated setup jobs needed.

**DisplayPort and PC Hardware: The Connection**

But what about graphics cards? How are they going to handle 120 Hz 4K resolutions like the DisplayPort specs promise? Well, it seems like we'll just have to wait and see. But one thing's for sure: Pascal is going to be a game-changer when it comes to PC hardware. With rumors swirling that a new Pascal card may be on the way sooner rather than later, this could be the year that finally brings 120 Hz 4K gaming to the masses.

**Conclusion**

And there you have it - a week in tech news that's been full of twists and turns. From the rise of bitcoin to the latest display technology, there's always something new and exciting happening in the world of tech. So what's next? Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure: we can't wait to see what the future holds.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello and welcome to another episode of this week in the tech news where today I'll be looking at bubbles and batteries I don't really know why I said to like that as though they're connected somehow because they're not but that doesn't really matter the first story is actually about a cryptocurrency today Bitcoin has reached over $10,000 on some exchanges which is terrifying well I mean according to some people is terrifying some people are saying that this is the most bubbly behavior that any bubble has ever bubbled before and that it's gonna burst anytime soon and then there are some people that are saying that this is amazing news and that within the next I don't know a couple of days it's gonna reach 40,000 dollars in everybody that's invested and it is going to be rich and famous and super excited well depending on where you stand this is compared to all the other bubbles that's existed before at things like the dotnet bubble and so on the most hectic bubble of ever I mean if you look at graphs comparing comparing a bunch of them it's like the rest are running here and then this was like Bitcoin is going hectically and in other news samsung has announced the graphene battery which apparently charges significantly faster and has a much higher charge amount so it'll last longer now this is really good news because all batteries suck in fact the battery on my camera now is actually busy dying I'm pretty sure the battery on your smartphone that you're probably watching this video on is also busy dying so it's great news it's always great when that batteries work longer but to be fair this isn't a very news story as far as I've been hearing there's that graphene batteries have been in development for for more than a couple of years now so it's about bloody time now with Cyber Monday having come and gone the same for Black Friday we can have a bit of a look at what kind of trends we've noticed on kind of PC forums because this is the time of year when most people buy most of their tech related things in the states apparently and you can kind of see by all the pictures uploaded on things like PC master-race and so on about what people have been buying and I don't know how tech news related this is but it's an interesting insight into the tech industry I guess what people are buying and the thing that I noticed that people were buying the most was actually a rise in CPUs because there have been amazing specials on these CPUs in in Black Friday and Cyber Monday and I think this was a really good move on AMD spawn because essentially what they've done is they've said that we know that a huge amount of people buy Hardware during this time so what we're going to do is we're gonna make our parts so cheap that you can't not buy them you can't buy the Intel alternative because the AMD alternative is so much cheaper and even if you wanted to buy something like an 87 hundred K instead of a 1700 X you're not going to be able to get your hands on an 18 and honor honor 8700 K because while there aren't any available anyway even at the kind of given normal market price so yes I think this was really interesting that everybody's is just gonna be buying the running MP and in very exciting displaying news HDMI 2.1 has been announced today and according to the people that do HDMI as a standard it's going to be rolled out of the kind of course of next year but the reason this is very exciting is because HDMI 2.1 is going to support a hundred and twenty hurt 4k now I know that the newest DisplayPort standard does actually does actually support that but you can't get them anyway yet and you also can't get 422 it monitors but if there are gonna be two input standards that support it then hopefully the kind of rollout rate of a high refresh rate 4k monitors will be faster it also supports 8k 60 Hertz from one plug which is awesome it has the bandwidth of that's per second which is a huge amount and you can HDR all the things that all the resolutions all the time with it yes one thing that is a bit of an issue with the idea of 4k 120 Hertz is that yes fair enough you've got the DisplayPort that kind of handles it and I don't know if I can use a display board in that in that context but anyway you have DisplayPort that can handle it but what kind of graphics card do you need or graphics card set up do you need to have a hundred and twenty 4k I'm pretty sure to 1080 T eyes can't do that Pascal may be many Pascal cards let's hope the Pascal comes out sooner than I predicted before anyway thank you very much for watching this short episode of this week in the tech news I'll be back next week with another episode anyway thank you very much for watching like and subscribe
