Making Jeremy's Sua: A Delicious and Impressive Dessert

Hey guys, I'm SC, and today we're going to make Jeremy's suet, which is really easy and delicious and very impressive dessert. It's awesome to make any time, but especially on Tuesdays, because you can prepare all the ingredients beforehand and then assemble it without having to bake it at all. So, let's get started!

First, we're going to start with some whipped topping. I'm using a packet of instant coffee pudding mix. Now, I know what you might be thinking - why is she making a coffee dessert? But trust me, the coffee adds a lot of flavor and helps the whipped cream get really stiff. I started on low speed so that the pudding mix doesn't fly all over the kitchen. Then, I quickly sped up the mixing process until stiff peaks form. Look at this! The pudding is already whipped and nice and thick. You can see the stiff peaks forming when you hold the beater upside down - nothing goes anywhere.

Now, let's move on to making our coffee mixture. We're going to take some oil and hot water very carefully pour it into a large bowl. Then, we'll add some coffee, sugar, and vanilla extract. I'm using decaf coffee especially if you're going to serve this in the evening or to a lot of kids and you don't want them running around any more than they already are. A nice splash of vanilla just gives it some extra boost of flavor. Now, let's give it a nice stir until the sugar is dissolved and there are no clumps on the bottom.

We're ready to assemble now! We have ladyfingers here, our coffee mixture, whipped cream mixture, and our serving dish. You can make this in any shape you want - rectangles, squares, or even a large trifle. It's really flexible and easy to make. Let's start by dunking some ladyfingers briefly in the hot coffee and placing them on the dish. Then, we'll repeat until our whole layer is complete.

Now that we have our first layer of ladyfingers down, let's top it with some whipped cream. We'll then repeat as many times if you'd like - just keep going as a layer of ladyfingers followed by a layer of cream. I'm going to start with four layers of cookies and cream because that's as high as I'd like for it to go. You can go on as much as you need to when you get to the top layer, just make sure to add enough cream so it's generously covered.

Finally, let's dust the whole thing with cocoa powder and we're ready to roll! There you have it - a beautiful dessert that was so easy to make. Jeremy's suet is also known as "Italian suet," which means pick-me-up because of the coffee that's inside. How's that for a fair pick-me-up?
